We stared at each other in silence for a minute and then Dimitri ran his hands through his hair with a frustrated expression. That gesture suddenly reminded me of Alex's habit.

"Maybe you won't understand it now" he said with an ironic smile.

I shook my head. "I will never understand it."

"Caroline, I'm not much different from Alex. If he were in my position, he would do the same thing as me."

I snorted when I heard it. "Trust me, you guys are different."

Now it's his turn to grunt. "Did you know Alex Brennan just killed Beta Pack Silver Moon a few days ago? He almost killed Alpha Adler as well."

My body froze in place when I heard his words. "Wh-what?"

"Do you want to know about him?" asked Dimitri in a cold voice. "Then it looks like we have to make a new rule."

"What do you mean?! How ... How's Alex?"

"If you want to know news about him you have to exchange it with one of my requests," he said still in a cold voice.

"Those are the rules."
