Chapter 87

Ally stands with her back against the wall of her bedroom, trying to control her breathing as she listens to the footsteps passing her doorway. When the footsteps are past her room, she slides the door open slowly to look at the woman going down the stairs. She is definitely one of the staff members. Ally walks into the hallway and looks to the side where the locked door is. Why would they lock only that door. Ally cannot believe how curious she feels about this. She wishes she could call Megan so they can find out what is going on there together.

Ally grabs onto the top rail of the staircase to stabilize herself. The memory hit her like a ton of bricks. Megan was not only her best friend; she was more like a sister.
