Chapter 36
Abby observed Ryleigh and Hannah sitting across from each other in the living room when she descended the stairs. When Rye noticed Abby, she stood up and approached her. She inquired as to what occurred, but Abby simply smiled at her.
A few minutes later, Lucas fell to the ground, and Hannah hurried towards him.
"We will be leaving this evening for a week in Florida," he remarked.
Abby simply calmed Rye and reassured her that everything is alright when she was unsure about her emotions.
Later that day, at eight o'clock in the evening, Lucas and Hannah left the residence. The man did not even bid her farewell. Rye wanted to look him in the eyes at that time, but he seemed to disregard her when Abby spoke with him.
Immediately after climbing into bed, Rye spoke with Abby.
"What did you do, Abby?"
