AUTHOR'S POV
Sitting at the backseat of her car, she was staring at the one-story house in front of her. Her bodyguard was sitting on the front seat, along with another boduguard, who was sitting in the driver's seat.
They have been here for almost five minutes, but she was not saying or doing anything. She was just staring at that house.Lucas was also Ana's and Jackson's childhood friend. He was the son of one of her father's bodyguard, who died protecting him, so his father took him under his wing and trained him for years. He was an assassin and the only thing he hated in this world was his job. After years of doing that dirty job, he made God Knows what deal with her father, that he let him go.Ana still remembered the day he was freed from that hell. His happiness couldn't match anything else in this world. That day, Ana didn't know if she should be happy or sad for him. He was finally free, but the only person who cared about her in that place, was leaving her. He left her behind, without caring what she would do, after him; all alone.Shaking all thoughts from her head, Ana opened her side of door and got down, only to turn around and watch her two bodyguards-his father's best people, get down from the car too.“ You two will stay outside! ” Ordering them, she didn't wait for anything else. She didn't had the will for such debates right now. Anyway, the guards knew she would be safe with Lucas, so they listened to her order. They were still alert though and were looking in all directions, for any sort of sudden danger.Taking steady steps, Ana marched past the garden of Lucas's house, stopping in front of the main door. She raised her hand to knock at the door, but just as her hand touched it, the door swinged open, a little.Surprised, she pulled her hand back and her heart missed a beat. Why was the door open? Her palms started to sweat, as all negative thoughts swamped her mind. She looked behind her, where her bodyguards were but then she shooked her head and stepped inside, slowly pushing the door open.It was dark-pitch dark in the house. Her heart was still beating faster, as she moved around the lounge. Her brain was screaming at her to turn around and run back, but her heart was rejecting every rational thought.Moving forward, her eyes went to the room on first floor. It's lights were turned around. Placing her hand on her heart, she sighed in relief. She was worrying for nothing. Lucas must have forgotten to lock the door and that was all.A smile stretched upon her lips and she went towards the stairs. She was excited to meet him after so long. She had so much to talk to him about. She needed his help to escape too. He was her only hope now.Rushing up the stairs, she stopped when she reached the room. It's door was half closed, so she knocked on it, but no reply came. How foolish! She came in from the main door and was knocking here now. Shaking her head, she pushed the door open and stepped inside. To her surprise, the room was empty. Lines of confusion appeared on her forehead, as she moved forward to check the whole room. There was no one here. Where was he? As she turned around to leave, something sticky touched her shoes and she looked down. With eyes going wide in fear, her blood ran cold. It felt like her heart beat had slowed down. It was blood. Crimson red blood.Gulping her fear, her eyes slowly traced the line of blood and a scream erupted through her mouth, with tears starting to stream down her face. No...No! This was not happening. She covered her mouth with her hand and fell down on her butt.On the other side of the bed, Lucas was laying on the floor, covered in his own blood with his eyes almost bulging out of his eyesockets; indictaing that he was dead. His stomach and chest had holes; which meant he was shot to death.Trying to surpress her sobs by covering her mouth with her hand, she slided towards Lucas's dead body and touched his face gently. A loud cry left her lips, feeling his cold skin. How can he be dead? She didn't wanted to believe it. Both of her hands grabbed his face, as she cried harder at the loss of her friend. “ Who did this to you, Lu-Lucas? ” A cry of pain left her lips and she leaned into his body, hugging him. He can't be gone just like this. Her mind was dizzy. A loud crash from downstairs pulled her out of her trance and her lips quivered in fear again. There was someone else in the house! Her tears stopped falling, as dread took over her body. Maybe the killer was still here or maybe they were the guards. With her heart beating faster and almost beating out of her ribcage, she forcefully detached herself from Lucas's dead body, stumbling away to the door.Stepping outside with her shaky body, she looked around in darkness. “ Wh-Who is it? ” Her voice broke with fear. Not receiving any reply, her hands started to shiver badly. Guards were definitely not in the house or they would have answered her already. It must be-Her eyes went wide and she covered her mouth to stop herself from making any sounds. Killer was still in the house. She must call the guards from outside.Mustering up her courage, she sprinted down the stairs with shaky steps. She needed to get out of here. The escape was just in front of her. She remembered leaving the front door open, but it was closed now.Without taking any look around, due to the fear that overtook her body, she ran to the front door, but a surprised shriek left her mouth, when someone held her from her waist and lifted her up in the air.She should have turned back around when she sensed the danger. Closing her eyes in fear, she knew she was going to die. The strong hands holding her, made it clear to her. Finally, it was the end of her miserable life!AUTHOR'S POVWith her body trembling in paralyzing fear, Ana kept her eyes shut closed. She was afraid to see her death with her own eyes. Someone was holding her waist and one hand of that person, was placed on her mouth to prevent her from making any sound. That person's hard chest was pressed against her back, making the whole experience more real. Her mind had stopped working and tears kept streaming down her face.“ Look who we have here! ” A deep masculine voice mocked her and she felt the vibration of that laughter throughout her body, which made her heart tremble.“ Open your eyes, Anastasia Adams! ” The same voice commanded Ana, who was silently crying at her fate. That voice surprised her, with the coldness it held. She was sure now, that he was the killer. He was the one who killed her Lucas.Scared,
AUTHOR'S POVAna jolted up from the deep slumber she was in and looked around herself. The place was different than, what she remembered. Her eyes were wide in fear and her hairs were sticking to her face, due to sweat, that was coating them. Her clothes were changed and not the same, as she remembered wearing.Slowly trying to calm herself down, she took deep breaths and looked down at the comforter, which was covering her trembling body.Anxious, she pushed the comforter away and looked around herself to make sure, that she was not dreaming. It was her room.Sighing, she pushed her hairs back and a relieved smile stretched upon her heart shaped lips. It was just a dream.A horrible dream. And it was over now.Shaking her head, Ana stood up on her feet, but almost stumbled back on the bed, finding her knees still weak.
AUTHOR'S POVAna walked to the bathroom with weak legs, as she had lost all her energy. With slow steps, she stopped in front of the basin and her eyes travelled to the blood, that coated her neck and sweater. Looking in the mirror, the memory of his eyes, staring right back at her, flashed in front of her eyes and she ended up flinching. He was so close to killing her, but he still left her alive, Why? Why was he doing all of this in the first place? Why did he kill Lucas? A lump formed in Ana's throat, thinking about all the questions, that were pounding in her mind, but she held herself back from crying again.
AUTHOR'S POVSunlight was peeking through the windows of Ana's room. She was laying on the bed, with her eyes wide open, staring at the balcony. Last night, she felt, like someone was here, but when she woke up, no one was here, except for the breeze, that was making the balcony curtains move. She had been awake from that time, laying in the bed, thinking about everything. She didn't know what was going to happen next? Why was everything happening in the first place? She had to find answers and also find a way out of here on her own, as Lucas was dead and there was no one, who was going to help her anymore. With Lucas's thought, tears
AUTHOR'S POVAna sighed for the nth time, standing still at the same spot. Her feets refused to move and take her anywhere. The sun had started to go down.Willaim Adams left more than a hour ago, after introducing her to Damon Alvarado. His voice resembled Beast's voice, which sent chills of dread down her spine. For once, she thought, that he was really Beast and he came, just as he said he would, but then she noticed the way her father was talking with him. It was like, he knew him well and trusted him too. Soon, Ana just decided to drop this thought. Maybe, fear was getting the best of her and she was suspecting everyone to be Beast.
AUTHOR'S POVStaring in the distance, Ana's mind had been travelling to all sort of memories. ' You shouldn't have done this, Angel! ' That's what, Beast said that night. He called her with nickname Angel and a week ago, at the cemetry, Damon Alvarado called her by the same name. Was the really a coincidence? Her head had been pounding. What was happening? She couldn't understand. This Beast was getting inside her mind and was not letting her think anything else. That day, she just excused herself from Damon Alvarado, feeling extremely scared, but when she thought about it again, her mind refused to suspect him as Beast.
AUTHOR'S POVShock was the only emotion, she could feel, as she watched blood drip down from the slit in that man's throat. She couldn't even move from her place, watching the blood rush out.It was that moment, when you feel your blood run cold and you are unable to move or do anything. All thoughts cease to exist.Still in shock, Ana's eyes traced the hand, which held the bloodied dagger. The same dagger, that was snatched away from her... The same dagger, which was used to slit the throat of the man, who was asking her for help...Her eyes travelled up from that arm to the face of th
AUTHOR'S POVWaking up, Ana felt a sharp pain in her neck. It felt like something pricked her neck. Shaking her head to get her mind out of the haze, she pushed the duvets away and sat up in the bed. Intinctively, her eyes went to the balcony door, which was closed, like she did last night and the curtains were also pulled over. Sighing, she felt relieved.Closing her eyes and resting her head against the headboard, she thought back to what happened last night. Damon Alvarado's face flashed in front of her eyes and she felt scared again. The way his eyes were emotionless after killing that man, made it clear, that it was not his first time and he was already used to it. She knew it
AUTHOR'S POV “ She is alive. Just a little away. For... ” Beast scrunched up his nose, glancing back at Ana who was glaring at him. “ For Forever. She won't return in our lives now. Whoever will cause Ana any harm consciously or unconsciously will never be able to return in our lives. ” His eyes held hers captive just like always, as he said this in a low tone. Camelia Alvarado sighed folding her arms on her chest as her eyes watched Ana and Damon gazing in each other's eyes like she was not even there. She shook her head smiling to herself and walked out of there to leave those two alone. “ You didn't hurt her right? ” Ana whispered after a while detaching her eyes from his chocolate brown mesmerising orbs. “ No. I didn't hurt her. I just sent her away. ” He answered truthfully and walked closer to her as his mind recalled the memory. ~FLA
AUTHOR'S POV As Ana stood in front of the hall where the marriage was being held, she did not know what to say to Beast who was standing beside her. “ You should have told me earlier. ” Ana sighed out and glared at him from the corner of her eyes. She was discharged from the hospital just now and he took her here directly. She would have been discharged ten days ago if it was not for Beast who asked the doctors to keep her under observation for a few more days until there was no problem with her. “ I should have told you earlier only if you were ready to listen to anything. ” He shot back, a frown adorning his forehead. “ Now I know why Mom, Jeremiah and Mia didn't visit me for a few days. I thought there was something wrong with them. I guess they all were too busy. ” Ana's lips pluckered out as she averted her eyes away from him. She started walking towards
AUTHOR'S POV “ Please! Don't me kill me. Don't kill me. I am pregnant. ” She blurted in a hoarse voice and Jack Blackwell halted in his way. His shocked expressions changed to one of pure evil and Ana realised she shouldn't have told him about it. “ Is it Beast's child? ” He chuckled with an evil glint in his eyes making Ana gulp. “ Why am I even asking? Ofcourse its his child. ” He grinned sinisterly and patted Ana's hair making her flinch. “ I will not kill you until he arrives... ” He whispered and leaned down to look at her fearful expressions. “ But once he comes, I am going to carve out this baby of his and then I will let you bleed until you die right in front of his eyes. ” His grin widened and he leaned back. Shaking his head happily, he started walking out leaving Ana crying in pain and fear. “ He k-killed Mom... ” She mumbled to herself as she cried harder. He killed her Mother and ye
AUTHOR'S POV When Ana blinked her eyes open, darkness was all that surrounded her. She groaned in pain feeling her head spinning. She tried to move her hands but they were restrained behind her back, tied with a rope. Worry clouded her mind more than fear. She was worried about her unborn child. She had to find a way out of here. The door to the room opened and Jack Blackwell stepped inside making Ana to sit up straight like a rod was fixed in her back. “ What do you want from me?! ” Ana hissed, her eyes burning with rage. “ Nothing. That's the thing. I want nothing from you so you are useless. ” He shrugged his shoulders, the sinister laugh falling off his lips. “ Then let me go. ” Ana hissed again. She was trying to loosen up the ropes behind her by rotating her hands around while he talked to her. The ropes dug in her wrists drawing out blo
AUTHOR'S POV Beast came back home with his heart still drumming in his ears. He should have listened to her when she was saying that she had a bad feeling about things these days. Whatever he had said to Jack Blackwell to scare him and to make sure that he did not hurt Ana before he got to her, did not help assuring himself at all. <Who knew what a maniac like Jack Blackwell would do to her? As he made his way to the room - their room, avoiding to cross paths with Camelia Alvarado and Mia, he found his strength leaving his body. He was alone now. He did not need to pretend that he was okay, that he would be able to handle everything, that everything was under his control. He was slowly losing his breaths, his heart beating painfully in his chest at the thought of Ana getting hurt. He marched to the bed and sat down on it with a thump, his whole life flashing before his eyes. Once
AUTHOR'S POV ~A LITTLE WHILE EARLIER Beast ran down the stairs as Ana called out to him repeatedly. “ Damon! Damon! What happened? ” He did not answer. He did not even turn around to look at her. Sighing defeatedly, Ana's shoulder slumped down and her eyes helplessly followed his figure rushing out of the mansion until he was not there anymore. She wondered what happened for him to be in such a rush. She had never seen him so breathless and mindless before. Every step of his was always measured and calculated but today he ran thoughtlessly like his life depended on it. She was just thinking about it standing by the railing when the same feeling that something horrible was about to happen captured her mind. Her eyes went to the door desperately hoping that he would return and tell her that everything was going to be alright because he was there wit

AUTHOR'S POV ~A month later Everything was fine. And Yes. That was a big fat lie. Ana sighed heavily as she stepped out of the bathroom and hid the thing held in her hand in the last drawer where she was sure Beast would not find it easily. She had been looking at it for three days now but she could not bring herself to muster up her courage to do anything about it. But she had another way to do what was right. She just wished everything went right. She was scared and did not know what to do about all weird kinds of feelings overwhelming her at the same time. She stared at herself in the mirror of the dressing room and pushed her hair back. She was wearing a casual light grey sweater with black jeans. Beast was coming to pick her up in some time and she had to be ready before he came or he might indulge in other distracting activities with her instead of doing what they were
AUTHOR'S POV Ana walked around the mansion like a ghost until she found Camelia Alvarado sitting in the garden staring at the flowers. She should have checked here first. Ana facepalmed herself and gulped down her saliva, preparing herself to talk to Camelia Alvarado. Ana walked to Camelia Alvarado taking small measured steps and stopped right in front of her hindering her view and even her thoughts too. “ Mom. ” A lump formed in her throat as she stared down at Camelia Alvarado's serious expressions. This gave her a hint that Camelia Alvarado did not know about her little failed suicide mission. Ana sighed internally and sat down beside Camelia Alvarado who sulkily turned her head away from her. “ Do you hate me Mom? Now when you know That I was Anastasia Adams... ” Ana whispered, her fingers fidgeting with each other as she kept her head down not wanting to look at her at all. &ldq
