I reached at the restaurant quite earlier.For my luck the arrogant jerk wasn't around so I decided to scroll through my business calls as there was not even a single fly to entertain my company.

It didn't took me when someone coughed.The husky merely audible voice erupted a current in my spine.I turned my head only to find a tall intimidating manly figure standing a few strands away from me.

Ohh freak he is dead handsome!

It wasn't lie,honestly he had a supermodel like body not less than Adonis himself.His perfectly sculptured face with a pair of thunderstorm like eyes.The way his thin lips were pressed together.

Despite not wanting to,I couldn't help myself ogling him.His feasty body was visible through his tightly fitted business suit.Now I realized why women were ready to throw themselves on him.His presence was electrifying.

"Hello"

I initiated a verbal contact,I might made a fool of myself but I need to end this chapter because I wasn't going to spend rest of my life with this rude dumb man.

"Hey."Came his cold reply.

I mentally growled and wished to scratch the look from his face.

"Please sit."He signalled me as if he did a favour on me but I obliged thinking there was no use to fight on this topic.

He sat in the opposite side.I didn't dare to raise my lashes for an unknown reason.

Soon our drinks were served.I hardly gulp a couple of sip because I could feel his burning gaze on me.

"I want to talk about this marriage mess."We almost stated together.

I snapped my head up startled by the sound which tore the dead tension filled silence.I found a pile of papers slide into my direction.What I read written on it with bold letters cleared the fog of doubts I had in my mind for this handsome bastard in front of me.

"I want you to listen to me very carefully,"Came his deep yet angered voice.His expression were hard.

I just nodded at him to continue.

"I think you're literate enough to read and understand these papers."He indicated on the papers .

"Yeah Prenuptial Agreement."I sarcastically emphasized on each letter.

"Hmm so it's better you sign them right now.I don't want you or your family to beg for alimony because this marriage isn't going to work when I know you all are like a parasite hungry for our money."He said in emotionless tone.

Fury build up in my veins.How dare he draw up a wrong judgemental narrative about me and my family.

"Excuse me Mr. Arrogant Knight watch your shity tongue while speaking about me or my grandparents neither of us behind your fucking money nor I am interested to be tied with a haughty pig like you.I would love to marry a donkey rather than a bulshit like you."I spatted venom on him without realising that I invited a hurricane .

He jumped over to me and grabbed me by my arms.His raging breath was falling over my face.His veins popped out due to anger.For a second I cursed myself for provoking the demon.

"You can't change the fact.."he dangerously whispered and pushed me with such I force that I stumbled to balance my feet.

"Yeah because it's not the fact..I just want you to call off this marriage"I chastised my words.

He stared at me as if he didn't understand what I said.

"Care to repeat."He said with knitted brows.

"I am not interested in marrying you.."I said with all self respect and pride I could put into my words.

"But you Do have any other choice sweetheart?"He smirked with a devilish grin.

Words would not be enough to describe how badly I wished to scratch that vile smirk off his face.

"And who are you to decide whether I should marry or not?"I glared at him .

"I think you must sign these papers than wasting our time.I have other things in my life to spend my priceless time ."He said with bored expression.

"What if I won't."I pinched my bridge of nose.

"Then I think your grandfather must have explained you in a better way what consequences it will bring to your business or I must say falling business."A playful smile played on his lips.

I clutched my hairs.How the destiny could be so cruel with me only out of seven billion people on the planet?

"What you are gaining by this marriage."I asked him.

"Everything I worked my ass off."He answered ,"Now open and read the conditions."He pointed at the papers with stiff face.

I stared those papers for moments.This is how I am selling my own freedom to someone no less than an enemy.

Taking a deep breath,I let the tears drop from my eyes.I felt so vulnerable at the moment when I signed those papers and without sparing a glance at him,I just slide the papers towards him.

I heard him sighing.

Great this man is acting as if he is the one who is suffering!

My jaw clenched .

"I hope you read all the clauses but let me mark them once again in your head.This agreement states that The Knight Aeronautical Co. and Greene Shipyard Company' is entering into a partnership whereby this marriage between Devian Christopher Knight and Emerald Avengeline Greene is an assurance that there would be no betrayal from any side.In case of extra marital relationship from either side,the later will be left with no right to claim for any compensation."

"Is there anything else?"I chuckled sarcastically but later cursed myself.H e flared at me with furrowed eyes.Clearly he didn't like the way I retort to him everytime.

"Yes."He leaned over me.His gaze was so intense that I started feeling nervous in the pit of my stomach.

"From now onwards no boyfriends are allowed near you.You will be my wife for the world but in fact you won't interface into my personal matters."He said stoically.

"What the hell! You're not supposed to control over my life when you are practically swaying your ass around anybody you wish."I snorted at him totally pissed off by his terms and conditions.

"You're not because you will be the daughter in law and wife to a Knight."He hissed .

"Whatever."I rolled my eyes.

He took out something from his pant pocket but I didn't bother to look at it.

"These belongs to you now.Enjoy the privilege of being my wife."He threw credit cards on the table.

It was the peak of my patience.I grabbed the cards and pressed them into his hand.

"I don't need your fucking money you son of a bit-"I stopped realising my inappropriate words.My Ma Papa taught me better morals.

"Do not ever use vile words when you are talking to me Emerald or I am sure you will definately not love the consequences."He confidently with hatred .

"You need  because I don't want you to cry to other people about us.Enjoy the wealth sweetheart after all that's what you wish to achieve."He said under his teeth.

"Can we escape from this mess?"I sighed in frustration.

"Do you know an alternative way?"he gave my statement an ironic chuckle.

"That's what written in our stars?"I asked in defeated tone.

"I think this is the last thing we want to happen with us."I hardly whispered .

He stood up pushing his hands in his pant pocket and turned to exit but turned and came closer to me.

"WE'LL MARRY AS PER OUR GRANDPARENTS' WISH"

He said in deep voice.

And dashed out without giving me a chance to speak.

With heavy head due to continuous crying I reached at my apartment because I didn't want to face my grandparents or anybody else right that moment.

I couldn't sleep the whole night.Next morning I took a long warm shower to ease the stress but it didn't help.I wore a high waist black denim and pale pink full sleeves top paired with black heels .

I decided to meet Ethan and tell him about this marriage.My heart was dropping knowing how badly he was going to be hurt.I love him since our blooming years and loosing him like giving up on my soul.

I took my phone and hand bag to leave when I got a messege from my grandfather.

"Dear where are you?

Please reach at Knight's office at sharp 10:00 AM."

"Wow again I have to see the ugly face of the bull."I growled stomping my feet on the floor.

I sighed and chose to drive by my own .
