Chapter Thirty Five

"She's fine, Sir. She came back from work a while ago."

"Did she change her number because I've been trying to reach out to her and her number isn't going through."

"No sir, She still uses the Same number. Perhaps you should keep trying."

Dan had no idea what to say anymore so he ended the call. He tried Beatrice's number almost immediately but it didn't go through. He kept his phone aside and continued to take off his clothes. He took a shower, changed into fresh clothes, and instantly got into bed. He had never missed anyone the way he missed her and he would never admit it.

Since it was her day off, Beatrice slept away all her tiredness and eventually stood up from bed at 11. She cleaned up her house after which she decided to take the trash out and then make breakfast.

Before she could step out of her door, her eyes met with a big white envelope on the floor. She went to dump the trash and then came back to it. She picked up the envelope and then went back in
