Revenge begins

In the midst of my mother's nervous breakdown after my father's unexpected death, the doctors sedated her and took her to the recovery room. We were both devastated, but I, in particular, was carrying the weight of a secret that threatened to destroy us.

While my mother rested, I took refuge in one of the clinic's hallways. The window there was huge, and through it I looked at the city landscape. The view was impressive, the pure air and tranquility filtered through my pain. I needed to clear my mind, even for a moment, from the storm that was slowly drowning me.

Suddenly, a hand touched my back. When I turned around, I found Luis José.

— I didn't mean to scare you, I just saw you here and I wanted to get closer. How do you feel? -asked.

—How do you want me to feel? My father just died, my mother is on the verge of collapse, and I am to blame for her death. —I confessed, feeling like a real monster.
