Fallen in love

Nothing!”

He said, picking up the document. “I’ll see you later. I’ll go through the document and get back to you,” knowing full well this wouldn’t end well.

He rushed out of his father’s office, looking around to see if he had lost her.

“Now I know where I’ve seen that face!”

He walked out of the company, ignoring the stares from the ladies. Calling his friend, “Can you come over to my place? We need to talk!”

“Alright, I’ll meet you there,” his friend responded, ending the call. Hardy made his way home, had lunch with Nana, and then met his friend, who was waiting in the car.

“I need your help tracking someone.”

“Really, who?”

“A lady I met today!”

“Oh, I see, another one of your escapades.”

“I feel like this is different. She’s not like those gold diggers, and I need to know more about her. Find out everything you can!”

“Are you sure about this? So, what’s her name?”

“I don’t know her name. That’s why we’re going back to my father’s company.”

“How come you don’t know her name?” Andrew laughed at how childish it sounded.

“I didn’t have time to ask. So, don’t talk me down.”

He started the car and drove back to his father’s company. He parked and waited patiently for closing time.

People started leaving one by one. It seemed like forever before she finally came out. “There she is. Isn’t she beautiful?”

Brenda walked out, looking tired and exhausted.

“You can say that again,” Andrew said, snapping a picture of her. “I’ll get to work, but I still need her name.”

At that moment, Wills’ assistant called her by name. “Brenda, Mr. Wills would like to have a word with you!”

Brenda’s heart skipped a beat. “Okay,” she replied, walking back into the building.

She took the elevator to the top floor, her mind racing.

“I hope this isn’t about what happened earlier. I didn’t mean to spill the coffee!”

She looked sad as the elevator doors opened, and she slowly walked toward Wills’ office.

She was hesitant about opening the door, but she had no choice. She couldn’t run away.

It was best to face her fears. Holding her breath, she pushed the door open.

“Mr. Wills, you called for me!” She said in a professional tone.

“I see. You can drop the professionalism. We’re the only ones left in the building. Come over here.”

Wills beckoned her to sit on his lap. Only then did Brenda realize she had been holding her breath.

She rushed toward him, and they kissed each other with so much hunger.

“I wanted to grab you the moment you walked into my office, to kiss you and touch you,” he said.

Brenda blushed, knowing it was a dream come true for her. She smiled lovingly at him.

“I love you, Wills!”

She blurted out, not realizing the impact her words would have. Wills suddenly went silent and stiff, making Brenda feel self-conscious.

“I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have said that!” Brenda stood up to leave, but Wills pulled her back,

kissing her deeply.

“I love you too, Brenda. I was just too scared to admit it. Can you be patient with me?”

“I’m sorry. I thought I’d done something wrong by telling you how I feel.”

“No, you didn’t. I love you, okay?”

She smiled, and they kissed again. Wills lifted her and moved her to the couch, where they could be more comfortable…

The rest of the staff had at this time left, but Will's assistant came back, “ I don’t know where I forgot this document!”

She said to herself as she walked toward the office, seeing that she was likely the only one left, but she was wrong

The minute she got close to the office, she started hearing some strange sound, the sound of a woman moaning

“ where could that sound be coming from ?”

She asked herself as she sorted for the origin of the sound, she noticed that it was coming from wills office , so she started tiptoeing toward his office

But her phone rang, and she suddenly ran off the floor, just so , Will wouldn’t know she was the one

They all heard the sound also, Wills and Brenda, “What was that?”

Wills asked as they both disengaged from each other as quickly as possible, putting in their clothes as fast as they could.

The next day, Brenda woke up late, her mother screaming her name.

“Brenda, you know you have to go to work! Why are you still sleeping at this time of day?”

“What time is it?” Brenda asked as she jumped out of bed.

“8:47 a.m.? Oh no, I hope I don’t lose my job this time!”

She rushed into the washroom and quickly got dressed.

Her mother teased, “Maybe you can beg your boss, say your poor, sick mother needs you. Don’t come home without a job, okay?”

Brenda ran out of the house, not waiting for more of her mother’s rants. She was worried about catching the bus to work. “I’m so going to lose this job,”

She muttered to herself as she stood at there thinking , though the main road wasn’t that far from her home.

Looking around, hoping the bus would arrive soon, she moved closer to the stand.

Suddenly, a luxurious car pulled up.

“Hello, darling!”

She looked inside and saw the young man she had spilled coffee on.

“Come on in. I’ll drop you off. We’re heading the same way anyway!”

He smiled at her.

“Oh no, I’m sure the bus will be here any minute. I don’t want to bother you.”

“It’s fine. Please, hop in.”

Brenda checked the time, she knew in her mind that if she refused this ride , she might as well kiss her job goodbye, even though Wills was willing to offer her an easy life , she can’t accept it .

As she got into the car, a text message popped up on her phone.

She glanced at it and saw that Wills had sent her a huge amount of money.

“What?!”
