Chapter 04

Bon stopped the motorcycle on one side, in front of a mall where there were many people and many could see us. I don't know what he was thinking or planning to do, but it seems like this is the only way to stop the men chasing us from following us.

"It's better that we go our separate ways," he said, which shocked me.

Does he mean that we are together? but what if those people can still follow us? I sail from my mind. Mina just nodded her head and I turned my back on them to tell Adante what happened to me, as well as what I found out about Hera's personal bodyguard and nurse.

But before I had gone far, someone suddenly stopped me and grabbed me by the arm, so I quickly turned around and was about to punch him in the face when I stopped and realized that Bon it turned out to be that person.

"What do you need from me?" I asked him. He let go of me immediately and I lowered my fist.

"Is it true that you work with him?" he said with a serious face but I couldn't take my eyes off half of his face covered in his own blood.

"I don't know what you're talking about. You better go to the nearest hospital or clinic right away, it looks like you're about to run out of blood." After I told him that, I turned around and was about to take a step when he grabbed my arm again to stop me.

"What?!" I got annoyed with him and pushed him away from me causing him to let go of me and hold him on his other chest where I pushed him.

His face shows that he was hurt when I pushed him. But I didn't push him that hard, so what is he acting like? I whispered in my mind as I watched his face contort in pain.

Because of my complete curiosity about him, I stepped closer to him and grabbed him by the collar to take a look at what he had been carrying, but he quickly caught my hand and squeezed it tightly, causing me to look into his sharp eyes staring at me.

"You think you do?" He looked at me weakly but firmly.

His two eyebrows meet, there is a line of wrinkles on his forehead and his eyes make hairs stand on end, but despite being stuck, grumpy and cold he is still attractive to watch.

But, wake up Sat! this is not the right time for you to fantasize about him. Remember, you still don't know him very well whether he is really an enemy or an ally? I whispered to myself as I stared into his eyes that were mad at me.

"I just want to know if you're okay." I responded weakly to him but it didn't bother him and he let go of my hand heavily as if he had just thrown away trash.

"Don't change the subject. I was asking you earlier if you really work with the Baptists?" he asked again while wiping his face with his own hands. I just combed my hair with one hand and he smirked.

"Deng! You're wrong. I only serve a Baptist. Wait, why do you think you're investigating me? Aren't you also working with the Marcaidas?" When I mentioned the name, Marcaida, he suddenly approached me and grabbed me by my collar.

"How did you know about that? Is he watching you over us or does he have something to do with what's going on?" crying as he promised me. I just winced at the sharpness of his mind but it wasn't the right time to answer the questions he was asking me, so I pushed him hard away from me, causing him to hold his other breast again.

"You ask me too many questions but you haven't answered any of the questions I asked you. The important thing now is that we know each other so if I'm with you be careful because the next time I touch you you might lose more than just an arm," I threatened him. After our conversation, I turned my back on him and completely walked away from him. Without looking back I left and left that place.

Until I was stunned and quickly hid to one side when Mina caught my attention, from the other way. Where he is currently running and escaping from two armed men who are chasing him.

This place doesn't seem safe either and I need to get out of here immediately.

I was able to safely leave that place and arrived in front of Adante's house, where I realized that it was the day of his wedding to Hera Marcaida.

I noticed a catering service truck and some staff unloading food. I slowly and cautiously approached there, until a staff member passed by where I was. I quickly knocked him down when I hit him in the back of the head with my own elbow. I dragged him under the truck and stripped him of his body covering. After that, I immediately took off the clothes I was wearing and changed into the uniform he was wearing earlier.

I easily got inside and unexpectedly found Gwen there, who was currently pretending to be the event organizer. I even hit him on the shoulder but he just looked at me and quickly looked away.

I simply curled my lips, I didn't expect to see him again today. It seems that he is here to object to Adante's marriage to Hera or maybe to witness his lover's betrayal of him.

I was just watching him from a distance and I noticed in his eyes that he was burning with anger and it looked like he was planning revenge on the man he loved so much.

What will Adante think, when he finds out that his bride is here today on their wedding day?

Or what will be his reaction, if he finds the woman he is protecting?

I didn't think that this actually happens in real life and I thought that such scenes can only be seen in teleseryes or TV shows.

Too dramatic and boring. But from what I'm witnessing now, it looks like the next scenes will be even more exciting.

I followed him out of the mansion, along with a female staff organizer. The two of them got into the car and I heard that they were heading to the church, where Adante and Hera's wedding was currently being held.

But of course, I also followed them there. I have to stop him from what he is planning to do and I cannot allow him to destroy what Adante is planning.

I used the catering truck to get there. I noticed that the car they were riding in suddenly stopped. I frowned because they stopped there for too long. I'm curious as to what's going on with them there or maybe there's something magical going on inside.

I was about to get out of the truck when suddenly the car they were riding in started up again. So I immediately closed the door and continued driving.

Just a few hours later, we arrived at the said place, at the church where the wedding of Adante and Hera Marcaida was taking place. I didn't get out of the car because I was waiting for him to come out. But I was shocked and surprised when one of them came out, and he didn't go inside the church with him.

What is his problem? why hasn't he gotten out of the car yet? this is his chance to stop Adante from marrying another woman. But, why does he seem like a coward now? can't she see marrying the man she loves who curses another woman? my sailing in my mind.

I just calmly focused on what he was riding and was still waiting for him to get out of the car. But the marriage is almost over, he still doesn't get out of the car and remains silent.

I was beaten badly and my seat belt was removed. I got down and hurriedly approached the car he was riding in. I peeked through the windshield and was shocked when I realized that the person inside the car was the female event organizer who was with him earlier. He was unconscious and also had a scratch from his neck that looked like he strangled him until he suffocated. He didn't have the uniform he was wearing earlier either, it was just a shirt and black cycling shorts.

I just hit my head with my own hand and stomped hard on the wheel of the car. He seemed to want me there and I didn't think he was that sharp to think of a way.

I just wasted my time watching over the corpse. And the woman I saw earlier getting out of the car and entering the church was none other than Gwen, who was now pretending to be the head event organizer.

After I found out about that, I went to the church, where they happened to be leaving the church and the wedding was over. I immediately turned around and walked in another direction so that the people there wouldn't notice me and Adante wouldn't see me either.

I lowered the hat I was wearing a little and bowed my head as I walked along the side of the church. When I entered there, I was stunned when I found Gwen, but there was a mysterious man in front of her with a mask covering his mouth.

What are they doing? do they know each other? I wondered in my mind. He was about to raise his head to look at me, but before he could see me, I quickly hid and leaned against the wall.

Who is that man? why do they seem to be talking about something serious?

It only took a few minutes for me to sneak a peek at where the two of them were earlier, until I discovered that Gwen was bleeding while she was being carried by another man wearing formal attire and it looked like he was one of the attendees at Adante's wedding.

The man I'm talking about is the young doctor who is currently taking care of Gwen at the hospital, Allen.

I noticed that he was talking to someone on his cell phone while he was looking at Gwen's face and was unconscious. The wound on his side appeared to have been caused by a sharp knife. So the man I saw wearing a mask earlier is the one who stabbed him?

But why did he do that to Gwen? and what is the true nature of this woman? why does it seem like there is so much mystery surrounding him? and who is the masked man I saw earlier? what is the relationship between the two of them and Gwen?

I was sailing in my mind when Allen suddenly appeared, from where I was. I immediately hid and left the place where I was because he might approach me and find me there. By chance, he might accuse me of stabbing Gwen, so I cautiously left and boarded the catering truck.

When I got inside the car, my eyes found Hera Marcaida, who was currently being led by Adante for a walk.

Not bad anymore. They seem to be perfect for each other. I said in my mind with a grimace on my lips. I was about to start the car to return it to the previous scene but I braked hard when the people there shouted loudly.

My attention was quickly drawn to the woman lying outside the church as her own blood flowed and spread on the ground.

My eyes widened and I couldn't believe what I was witnessing. I removed my seat belt and immediately got out of the car. I looked up at the top of the church where he fell and saw the masked man up there.

My eyes widened in shock, especially when our eyes met each other. He also immediately turned around and disappeared like a bubble.

My whole body was shaking with extreme nervousness and I walked towards the woman who had fallen from the height of the building.

The distance between the two of us was quite far but my hair stood up when I saw his appearance.

Mine?!

Mina is the girl lying on the ground and bathing in her own blood.

But, why and how did this happen?

I almost saw him running and running away from the armed men.

Does this mean the masked man who stabbed Gwen and the person I saw on top of the building, is the same one who did this to her? then he was one of the men who grabbed us.

What is their real purpose for us and why did they do this to Mina?

Despite my sailing from my mind, I suddenly saw a familiar man, from the other side and looking at Hera's location.

Bon was that man and I followed him with my eyes, until he walked towards him.

Hera recognized his voice and in the middle of their conversation she suddenly lost consciousness and fell on his shoulder.

But, the biggest mystery to me is still how Bon got here and how did he know that Hera and Mina were here?

Is it all a coincidence? Or is there something I don't know yet about his personality?
