VALERIE
I had stayed locked in my new home for weeks. My betrothal ceremony was to be held this evening once the moon was up and I could not help but cry all day long.
I had refused to eat, or drink anything for a week now.
The maids in this mansion were not any different from Lyxia. They laughed and looked at me with disdain.
My mother had came to visit three times over the week. Seeing her face was the only thing that made me feel like my life was not totally ending.
If I had thought that my life was going to be any better then I must have been living a dream.
The Alpha Emeral had personally brought me a diamond dusted white dress. This was supposed to be my marriage. Mated to the Alpha. But then why did I feel like I was only beginning the worst part of my life? Instead of it to be getting better.
The ruckus from below was so loud it almost completely masked out my screams. I had no idea what the party was for but by the looks of things I guessed it must have had to do with Lyxia's coming eighteen birthday.
The girl had made sure that I stayed in the room that had the least ventilation so I had to keep the windows open.
The door opened and someone walked in.
"Lyxia?" I asked, seeing the wolf enchantress herself.
She scoffed. "Don't get too comfortable in that dress and certainly do not feel like you've somehow managed to snake your way into this house—"
"I don't want this! I don't want this at all! All of this was not my plan and I would have never wanted to be sold into your house!" My voice was surprisingly louder than I had expected and I could see the surprise on Lyxia's face.
With a sly smile she said, "Seems like my father has been too kind to our new slave, you're getting the wrong idea about this. This isn't a betrothal, my father bought you to be his slave!"
"Then why I'm I wearing this dress?" I replied tartly.
I could see the annoyance on her face, I had never talked back Lyxia but now that we were alone I had the courage to defend myself.
She scoffed, eyeing me with scorn as she turned saying, "That's why you were sold, an abomination. You'll never be fit in this house!"
With that she slammed the door behind her and I dropped to my knees. I wanted to scream but quickly covered my mouth with my hands and pressed hard.
A few minutes later the door was barged open and stood up quickly.
I see the large frame of the Alpha Emeral. Why was he here?
He stumbled over to me, he must have been drunk. There was always one party or another in the mansion anyway.
"My lord may I help—"
He raised his hand, silencing me instantly.
With two large steps he pushed me onto the large bed, holding down my arms so I could not move.
At this point I knew what he was trying to do.
I scream so loud but the noise from below made it impossible for anyone to hear.
"You are betrothed to me! This is my RIGHT!" The Alpha Emeral barked as he easily ripped apart the dress he had given me.
This was not right! A girl was not to sleep with anyone apart from her mate. We had not yet been mated so why would he want to force me into this?
Hopeless I started to cry, but that didn't seem to move him. His grip was unsteady the alcohol must have been making him more intoxicated.
This was my chance. Now that he was unstable.
Gathering all the strength I had in meni pushed him over. It worked and he fell to the ground groaning as he hit.
"You stupid brat! You should be grateful to receive this gift!"
He was back up again immediately and he slapped me so hard I was spinning before I hit the ground.
"If you go against me, I'll count it as treason and have you hung!"
How could he?
"No! This is not right! I would never consent to this!" I spat. I had to preserve myself, I couldn't let him have his way with me like I was a prostitute.
My heart pounded like a drum as I sighted the window I had opened. I almost thanked Lyxia for giving me this room.
As I scrambled to my feet, I ran with all my strength for the window. I haerd the Alphas loud steps behind me but I knew he was too drunk to even catch up.
I jumped out, the moon shun high above me.
One thing on my mind. Run Valerie! Run!
**********
My feet ached as I tramped through the forest. Behind me I heard the angry howl of a hunter wolf. How could he? How could he actually want to do such a thing? He was the Alpha but that did not mean he could have his way with any girl he chose!
I hadn't gone far before I heard the alarm. The call for a hunt, the hunt for a betrayal! If I was caught now there was no doubt I would surely be raped by the Alpha or worst killed.
I had been running for almost an hour. The hunter wolf wasn't far behind.
The Alpha Emeral must have put a price for me. I had to escape.
My feet catch a root and I fall hard. When my vision clears I see a large brown wolf towering over me.
"No..." I whisper.
I couldn't shift. I couldn't fight back. He had won and now my fate was sealed.
"Please... Don't!" I screamed as the large wolf pinned me down with a single large paw.
The hunter growled ferociously, the wolf's dark eyes tainted with deep anger and hate.
He launched down to kill me, but stopped as he heard a deep howl.
Another hunter? No... I saw it, a golden blur and my hunter is sent spinning through the air.
I was so confused and my head pounded with a painful headache.
As I sat up I see the glorious sight as the moonlight caught golden outline of foreign wolf.
His fur was a perfect mix of golden white fur that seemed to glow with the moonlight.
I saw my hunter squirm before his might. This golden wolf's aura was so powerful it made even the trees around seem small compared to him. But he wasn't attacking me, he was protecting me.
The last thing I saw was the quick blur as the golden wolf launched for his opponent.
I watched, marvelled as the powerful golden wolf easily defeated his opponent.
The golden Alpha Lukkar. The brother to the Alpha Emeral.
Could this mean I was saved by the Alphas brother?
BOARDER OF THE LYCAN CITYALPHA LUKKARMy heart beats faster as my instincts went feral, I still had the blood of the Hunter wolf I had thrashed staining my golden fur. Blood lusted, feral and angry I looked through the eyes of my wolf form. My Alpha aura was so dense it drove the owls into the air and the rodents into whatever hole they crawled out of.I looked at the Hunter with a deep livid anger it contorted my face and my muscles vibrated from the intense anger and emotion. The Hunter riled up and I impose my aura on him but he shuns it, growling harshly before I jump at him again, teeth bared and I was ready for the kill.I had jumped the Hunter right before he had the chance to harm her life. Ferociously attacking and fatally injuring the brown wolf before he had the chance at the fight back. The Hunter was foolish, most wolves would squirm and lower their heads in submission when they came across me, yet, this Hunter had had the guts to throw paws and jaws with me. He was easil
BOARDER OF THE LYCAN CITYVALERIEMy ankle twisted with pain as I limp, trying my best to keep myself from falling I used the next tree to support myself before taking the next step. This was a run for my life, if I was caught by the Hunter this time I was sure he would not fail to take my head back to the Alpha Emeral. My mind was frantic. My Hunter may or may not be alive. The golden wolf that had interceded had given me just about enough time to escape. It was dark and cold, not an ideal time and place for a female to be walking—or more like limping in the forest.I leaned against a tree, allowing myself to rest against the rough bark. I had heard the siren blare a few seconds after I escaped the drunk Alpha, I was running away from my betrothal naturally I would be labelled a traitor and a bounty placed on my head. But what was I supposed to do? The Alpha had tried to rape me, I was merely protecting my self and the little dignity I had left.I thought about my life before all thi
THE LYCAN CITYALPHA LUKKARThe moon beamed high above. The bright orb casts it blessing rays of light down and with it I felt strength work its way through my being.I limped back to my castle, the deep gash in my thigh was healing more slow than usual. I still felt the urge for gore and the need to rip through the Hunter wolfs throat. I was simply protecting my land. The Hunter was from the Emeral city, he was an intruder and in any light you saw it.But there had been someone else, a girl. It was her scream that had made me shift. Her voice penetrated the air like a lance, it was like she was calling out to me. I had never felt the urge to protect someone that badly. When my eyes discerned the Hunter wolf I suddenly had a lust for blood. He was going to kill her if I had not intervened. He was going to kill the girl that could command the Alpha. But she was already gone before the Hunter retreated. The only thing I was able to salvage was a turn piece of the dress she wore, with i
THE LYCAN CITYVALERIEThe drive to the old mans little shack was longer than I had expected. The drivers radio played old country music and he hummed along. I folded my arms to cover my tits and found myself glancing back through the glass window. The thought of rather giant wolf galloping after the old truck was horrifying enough.A few men walked by, spying the car as we drove by so I lowered my head to avoid being recognised by a Hunter. As long as the bounty stood, Hunters would always tracking me. If I wanted to live the best way was to avoid being seen altogether. The Hunters riffle was tucked beside his seat, in the worst case I could defend myself with the gun that’s if I even knew how to use it. The truck driver glanced at the bruises on my face on body. I avoided his eyes, keeping my focus on the road ahead. The Lycan city was much gloomier than I had expected, though we were only in the outskirts. The calm and quiet seemed too in unreal, like I was in that moment right bef
THE EMERAL KINGDOMDERONLyxias elated laughter was the only thing that annoyed me more than the news that had just been reported.‘Valerie Mo'monte, the to be mate of his Lordship Alpha Emeral attacked and flee the Emeral castle. She was hunted and killed a few days ago.’I held the newspaper to my face, staring at the boldly written words as my hands shook with anxiety. Lyxia laughed in an excitement I could not understand. How was this funny?Jack tried to act proud, I looked straight through the ugly mask of boldness he wore as a shadow over his face and saw the fear that lay behind. Even he knew that Valerie would be more of a threat to herself than she could ever be to anyone else. She had suffered and was left like a an empty shell.Something didn’t add up. Her murder was more suspicious than the mismatched newspaper I held in my hands.“We’ll all I can say is good riddance!” Jack exclaimed, eyeing Lyxia and hoping to gain some further acknowledgment and favours from her.“Well
THE LYCAN CITY. PEASANT MARKET.VALERIEThe markets here were not much different from the ones at my kingdom. The hood I wore over my head died enough to keep out the sun and to keep the daring eyes of most people away from me.I had woke up quite early, jumping up from the small bed and peering anxiously through the grimy glass window. Nothing suspicious, the streets were empty. This was probably one of the joys of living in the outskirts, peace of mind.I took a quick shower, squeezing my tits and enjoying a small sense of pleasure before stepping out and drying my body with a rather large towel Mrs Jahn had provided for me. She had told me she would be going to the markets today and I couldn’t help but miss the opportunity to get the diamonds sold as quickly possibly.Mr Jahn was not present when we had breakfast so I was sure he was still in bed. The old man seemed to have a rather delicate health and would sleep in for hours. We are in silence and I was grateful for the excessive
THE LYCAN CITY. LUKKAR CASTLE.ALPHA LUKKARI had not received word from my tracker. My Luna was still out there, not in my arms and pain it caused me was becoming unbearable. I got into the shower, the cold water that rushed down washed the blood that was around the my thigh. I had done so much training with Amin I hadn’t given my thigh any time to totally recover form the injury. My kingdom was being ruled by the regent Beta wolves and their way of conduct was rather cruel. The peasant got poorer while the nobles only got richer. It was a horrible scheme that ensures they always had their fair pay of bribes and embezzlement of the kingdoms funds. If I was the king Alpha I would put an end to such an unjust way of life. That was something my father fought to do, he had united both kingdoms, using the resources from both to ensure that neither would suffer or starve. My father was a powerful Alpha, but death wasn’t something that waited for any man and my mothers death was the catalys
THE LYCAN CITY. PEASANT MARKET.VALERIEMy heart pounded harder than a drum as I run I felt like it would break out of my ribs. The harsh sounds of ferocious wolves boomed as I dash through the markets. I barely felt the pain in my injured foot and when I take the next step I don’t allow my legs to stay on the ground for long before taking the next.Mrs Jahns call had been the perfect distraction for me to get myself out of such a situation. The Hunters had finally found me, I was a weak little girl who couldn’t even shift trying to evade a pack of angry Hunters on foot and not to mention that I had to duck and dodge every now and then to avoid taking the next shops window to my face, while my pursuers literally just broke through anything and everything in their path.In front I saw merchants and sellers dash out of my way as I approach, some on lookers watched from closed stalls and it occurred to me how cold this city actually was. THE LYCAN CITY. LUKKAR CASTLE.VALERIEThe Tracker seemed to move through shadows, I had a strange feeling in my stomach and I wondered if that was because I was almost raped again or the Trackers magic just gave me a bad feeling. When we stop I'm looking down at two rows of armies, towering wolves that growled softly and foot- soldiers that wielded sharp blades. My insides twisted and I fought back the strong nausea that came over me when I saw the Alpha Emeral. He was cladded in polished armour that gleamed under the soft moonlight."You have something that belongs to me!" He bellowed. My mate wore an identical pair of armour, it was no mistakening that Amin was the giant black wolf that loomed behind him.I easily spotted Sylria, the end of her staff twinkled under the moonlight."If you mean my mate then you are mistaken!""She was given to me long before you found her, she belongs to me!"I spotted My father, hia hard gaze swept over where I watched from the dark and I jerked on

I hoped she would be reunited with the little cute angel, but the possibility of death was still something that frightened me. What frightened me worst was when I learnt the wolf that Hunted me was fighting at Lukkars side.I sat on my bed, Ariel was about departing with the other maids when I told her to follow me.Ariel’s eyes brightened like stars when I told her she was no longer obligated to bring me meals or clean the cabinets.“You can go home Ariel, I’ve owed your parents a lot, this is the least I could do. From today you a free woman and of course your family would still be supported by the Alpha.”But the light in her eyes dropped, she looked at the ground and I won
THE LYCAN CITY. LUKKAR CASTLE.ALPHA LUKKARThe Warriors growled at the strangers, I and Amin walked to the front of the line. The men that stood at the castles gate both looked as nonchalant as ever but when I locked eyes with the taller one I immediately recognised his aura.“YOU!” My instincts were feral, I had waited for the day I would get to rip him apart, the day I would get to complete our fight without him backing out.“Forgive my err, intrusion your majesty but I would not have dared step foot on the royal grounds if I did not bring urgent news.”“The war is coming, we know, all you’ve done it submit yourself for me to tear you limb from limb!” I stepped froward, my wolf angry and ready to come out for the brawl. The other wolf standing beside him took a step back, cowering in fear.“If you would err, just allow me speak.”“You Hunted my luna, almost killed her, I have nothing to hear from you!” i closed the second between I and the Hunter in a second, the power of my wolf f
THE LYCAN CITY. LUKKAR CASTLE. HIDDEN WOODSFUGITIVE DERONMaybe I would have been more at peace if Sylria had never shown up, maybe. But now not only did her presence make me feel slightly giddy inside, but she had also delivered the horrifying news concerning Emeral soldiers matching up the the boarders of the City.I had had to lie on the ground until Nelma had come to help me up, the two females cared less about if I would be able to see again or not. My face was still swollen all over and I could barely see five feet in front of me as the horse galloped on. I held tight to Sylria, she rode the horse and Valerie held tight to me, Nelma giggling excitedly. The certificate was in my hands, my head still ached from the aggressive way Sylria had let out her anger in beating my face flat against the ground. My healing was slower than usual but I could feel my lips repair themselves and lost teeth start to stalactite from my upper jaw.The horse neighed, throwing its legs into the air
THE LYCAN CITY. LUKKAR CASTLE. CASTL E CELLARSFUGITIVE DERONThe cold from heavy shackles weighed my hands down, this was not the kind of fate I was expecting to have. So far no one had said a word to me except for the Warrior that had plotted all this out with Jharad and by his gloating expression he had achieved whatever it was he had wanted to accomplish.A cold bowl of what I thought was supposed to be dark porridge sat beside me in this dirt cellar, I knew it would only taste twice as bad as it looked. Why hadn’t I jumped with her? I still had the ankh on when I saw the glint of the fired arrow but somehow at that only moment I had forgotten about the dark magic that I had in form of a cross hanging from my neck and instead took the poison arrow. Foolish.Still, one question me, who had tried to kill Valerie and why? I was still not clear on what her status was in this kingdom but from the looks of things she indeed was the Queen, the Alphas mate, his Luna. I still remembered h

I saw her paused too, her arm halfway through a wave and her lips parted. It was like we had gone to sleep and woke up in the same dream, but it was her and this moment was more real than reality. She had evaded one Alpha only to be forced to marry another? I would not all this!I Slung the ankh over my neck, allowing my wolf to take over and I felt the deep cut on my arm heal up before the power of my inner beast took over my being. I towered over the cheering nobles who were probably too drunk to notice the black wolf that loomed within them.‘VALERIE!’ I linked my scream to her before taking the largest leap, she did not move, she stayed still like a statue her eyes shaky as she looked into the orbs of my giant wolf. Her body was just highlighted by the moon perfectly but what concerned me most was the imposing staff she held tightly in her left hand. She did not wear any smile, just a nasty look and I could easily spot her ankh so black it would make a shadow seem bright. Why would she bring an ankh and a staff? This was a friendly meet but the glare on her face made me think otherwise. It hadn’t been too long I saw her, but seeing her like this made me question if she still saw me the same way or if she looked at me and all she saw was a stranger. For a moment we both said nothing, I waited for her to make the first words but she seemed to be waiting for me to speak up first too.“Sylria…”“Deron!”We said each others names at the same time.x x x x x x x x x x x x x x xThe streets were more busy than they had ever, everyone in the kingdom spoke about the Queen to be and the fea
THE LYCAN CITY. LUKKAR CASTLEVALERIENever had so many people stared at me like this, stared at me with happy and warm smiles. I had had stares in my life, a lot of stares that usually came with an equal lot of scorn. But today I was the star of the kingdom, nobles flocked around me like I was some rare gem they all wanted to get a glimpse, for the first time I had seen peasants walk the castle halls. I greeted a small peasant family, the man looked a bit scruffy and took only about a second to recognise me before he threw his head down and literally screamed the words, “It’s an honour to be in your presence your grace!”I laughed heartily, waving him off and I saw the surprise on his wife’s face when I said, “The pleasure is all mine.” I gave their daughter a flower from one of the many Ariel had stocked like decorations in my hair, and my heart rose when I saw the long smile that brightened the girls face.Since I told Lukkar the truth about me I had felt freer, lighter and more re

It was my day, I would finally get to be one with Lukkar, why wasn’t I happy? The air in the room held the fragrance of several different perfumes and face powders, all of which blended together to give a rather pungent smell. When the chattering and occasional dabbing on my face with make- up brushes started to bug me I stood up. They all went silent, most of them were younger than me anyway.“Excuse me I… I think I need some air.” I walked out of my room, my face half painted with power and I proceeded to the garden. I instantly spot Reila, she was with a watering can attending to a small bush of roses. She spoke once I got close to her, “I knew you’d come to find me here…”I shrugged my shoulders. “I’m just not really feeling it…”She turned to face me. “You?
