The next morning was just like every other, I was actually beginning to enjoy the peace that came with living in the castle. Lukkar grumbled in his sleep when I pulled the pillow from under his head and he nestled in with the duvet.

I pulled at one of his dreads, the silver strands of hair had weaved themselves in beautiful patterns to form each dread. He grumbled again and moved his head away when I pulled too hard.

I chucked at the childish way he fought for his sleep, opening the curtains and allowing bright morning light to paint the room.

“Urghrhgrrgh…” Lukkar mumbled, blinking his eyes open and looking at me. He came back so late last night I had to share the dinning table with only Amin (what a torture) and slept off alone only to wake up and see him on the bed, holding me tightly from behind.

“I knew my pillow was gone!” He said disgruntled and I tossed the pillow back at him.

“Your kingdom is so… bright and peaceful.”
