Sofia's Point of View
"You look so beautiful, Sof," Ella said. Once we made it to Ella's room, I took a shower in her bathroom that was attached to her room. I sighed when I felt the water on my body. It felt nice having hot water again. Then, I put on the dress that Ella bought for me. It was a short red dress that showed off all of my curves. Once I was dressed, Ella did my hair and makeup.
"Don't you think it is too much? I mean, I don't normally wear things this revealing," I said
"You look great, Sof, and it isn't too revealing. Ethan is going to love it," Ella said
"What do you mean?" I asked
"Nothing," Ella said. I didn't understand why she would think Ethan would like what I was wearing. I was sure he would ignore me like he always did. He wouldn't spare me a glance. I hated how my thoughts upset me. I hated that I wanted Ethan to want me just like I wanted him.
There was a knock at the door, and Tammie, Ella's mom, walked inside.
"You two look so beautiful," Tammie said
"Thanks, Mom," Ella said
"Thank you," I replied
"Everyone is downstairs waiting," Tammie said
"Okay, mom. We will be down in a minute," Ella said
"Okay," Tammie said, and then she looked at me. "I am happy you are here, Sofia. Eric and I would like to speak to you after the party," Tammie said.
"Okay," I said, and Tammie left the room.
"You know they want to talk to you about moving in with us," Ella said
"I know, but I don't want to be a bother," I replied
"Sof, you won't be a bother. We want you here. Besides, there are a lot of others that live here as well. This is a big house," Ella said
"So, all of those people I saw while coming to your room live here, too," I asked
"Most of them do," Ella said
"I don't know. I get that you and your parents want me here, but I know your brother doesn't want me to stay here. He hates me," I said, and Ella sighed.
"That isn't true. I know Ethan has been acting like an ass toward you, but he doesn't hate you,' Ella said
"Yes, he does," I replied
"Look, I know I can't convince you that he doesn't hate. You will have to see it for yourself," Ella said, and I stayed quiet. "Come on. Let's go downstairs so we can celebrate my birthday," Ella said. She took my hand, and we started walking.
"Happy Birthday, Ella," Everyone was saying as we passed them
"Thanks," Ella replied. Almost everyone from school was at the party. I looked around and didn't see Ethan. It was shocking because this was a party for him as well.
"There you are, sweetheart," Eric said, and he hugged Ella. "Happy birthday, Princess. I can't believe you are eighteen," Eric said
"Thanks, Daddy," Ella said. I looked at them and smiled. I always wished to have parents who loved me, like Eric and Tammie.
"Hello, Sofia. I am happy you decided to come," Eric said with a smile on his face.
"Hello," I replied
"Ethan still hasn't made it back yet?" Ella asked
"No, he hasn't. I called him, and he told me he was on his way home. Once he gets home, we will sing Happy Birthday and cut the cake," Eric said
"The two of you should go talk to your friends until he gets here," Tammie said
"Okay," Ella said, and Ella and I headed over to where Courtney was standing with a group of other students from school. I stayed silent while Ella talked to everyone. A lot of the students were staring at me. I was sure they were shocked to see me there. This was the first time I was attending a party.
I got tired of all of the staring and told Ella that I needed to use the bathroom so I could get away for a moment. On my way to the bathroom, someone bumped into me. I looked up to see it was Jane, and she was glaring at me.
"Watch where you are going," Jane said.
"You bumped into me," I replied, annoyed. I was sure she bumped into me on purpose.
"Whatever, I don't even know why you are here. You don't belong here. Ethan is going to be upset when he comes home and sees you here. You might as well leave," Jane said, and then she walked away.
I walked into the bathroom and looked at myself in the mirror. I knew Jane was right. I didn't belong there, and Ethan would be angry when he saw me. Maybe I should just call an Uber and go home, but I knew Ella would be upset if I left. I decided it would be best to stay. I took a deep breath before walking out of the bathroom.
I was shocked to see Ethan standing by Ella and his parents in the huge room, looking as hot as ever. He was wearing a black button-up shirt that did nothing to hide his muscular chest and a pair of black pants.
Ethan was looking around the room as if he was looking for someone. Suddenly, his ocean blue eyes connected with my green ones, and he looked shocked for a moment, but then he started to smile at me.
"Mate," Ethan said as he walked over to where I was standing and shocked me by wrapping his arms around my body and hugged me tightly, causing me to feel these pleasurable tingles or sparks everywhere he touched me. I could hear people gasp as if they were in shock but Ella shocked me with her words.
"I knew it," Ella said happily
What the hell is going on?
Sofia's Point of ViewI didn't know what was going on. Ethan was hugging me tightly, and I knew he was sniffing my neck. I didn't know what to do. Even though I was confused, it didn't change how good it felt with him holding me. I could even feel these pleasurable tingles going through my body, and I was sure it was because of him. It was weird because I had never felt anything like it. "It's you. I can't believe it's you. You have no idea how happy I am that it's you," Ethan said as he looked at me with a smile on his face, confusing me more."Um, what are you talking about?" I asked, and Ethan's smile turned into a frown. I looked around to see everyone was staring at us. Eric walked over to where Ethan and I were standing and placed his hand on Ethan's shoulder."I need to speak to you in my office, Ethan," Eric said, and he looked at his dad. "Okay," Ethan said, and then he looked at me. "I will be back," Ethan said, and then he walked away with Eric. Everyone was still looking
Ethan's Point of View(Earlier that morning)"Wake up, Ethan," I heard Ella say before she poured cold water on me, causing me to open my eyes and sit up on my bed. "Happy Eighteenth Birthday, brother," Ella laughed as she ran out of my room."I am going to get you back, Ella," I growled. I should have known she was going to pull a stunt like that. She always did something to me every year on our birthday. I got up out of bed and walked over to the bathroom, which was attached to my room. I took off my wet clothes and got into the shower. My name is Ethan Black, and today is my eighteenth birthday, along with my twin sister Ella. You would think that we hated each other because of the way she just poured water on me, but we were actually really close. I loved my sister, and she loved me. I would never let anyone hurt her, and she would never let anyone hurt me. After taking a shower, I got dressed, brushed my teeth, and headed back to my room. A few minutes later, there was a knock o
Ethan's Point of View"Ethan, wait up," My best friend and future beta, Ryan, said, causing me to stop walking and look at him. "Where are you going?" Ryan asked. "For a walk. I need some air," I said. I needed to get away from Jane. She wouldn't leave me alone. She apologized to me for trying to mark me. She told me it was her wolf and that she felt terrible. I wasn't sure if she was being truthful. I had a feeling she was the one who wanted to mark me and not her wolf, but I decided to let it go and told her that I forgave her. It was a big mistake because, after that, she wouldn't keep her hands off of me. She was acting like we were still in a relationship. She was calling me baby and trying to kiss and hug me. I couldn't take it anymore, and I needed to get out of the packhouse, so I decided to go for a walk. "I will walk with you," Ryan said, and we started walking toward the woods in silence. "It's because of my sister, isn't it?" Ryan asked. Yes, Jane was Ryan's twin sister,
Sofia's Point of ViewI had never been so happy in my life. The girl I had always loved was my mate. I put my face into her hair and inhaled her scent. I would never get enough of her scent. I was sure everyone was watching, but I didn't care. The only person that mattered was Sofia. "It's you. I can't believe it's you. You have no idea how happy I am that it's you," I said. I pulled away and looked at her face, and smiled. "Um, what are you talking about?" Sofia asked, causing me to frown. Sofia looked so shocked, and I couldn't blame her. I was sure she was confused about what I was talking about. She was probably wondering why I was hugging and talking to her after all of these years of ignoring her. My dad walked over to me and put his hand on my shoulder. He told me that we needed to talk in his office, and I knew he wanted to talk to me about Sofia being my mate. I told Sofia that I would be back before following him to my office. I could tell everyone was shocked that she wa
Sofia's Point of View"There you are. I have been looking everywhere for you. What are you doing out here?" Ella asked as she sat beside me on the grass. After seeing Ethan and Jane kissing, I went for a walk. I needed to get away from him. Seeing Ethan and Jane together always made me feel bad. I always wished I was the woman he decided to be with. For some reason, it hurt even more today when she kissed him. I could feel a pain in my chest, and I felt like he had betrayed me by being with her. I know I had no right to feel that way, but I did. I wished I could talk to Ella about my feelings for her brother, but I knew I couldn't. I was sure she would be upset with me if she knew how I felt about him. No one wants their best friend to get with their brother. I was sure she would think I wasn't good enough for him anyway. Hell, I knew I wasn't."I just needed to get away for a moment," I said as I looked at the moon. "Are you okay?" Ella asked worriedly"Yeah," I replied. I could te
Sofia's Point of View"I love you so much, Sof. You are the most beautiful woman in the world. You have no idea how happy I am that you are finally here with me. Now, we can finally be together. I am so happy we can finally be together," Ethan said as he hugged me. We were standing in the woods, and the moon was shining bright. Ethan started moving closer to me, and I knew he was about to kiss my lips, but I moved away. "This is wrong, Ethan. We can never be together. We are from two different worlds. No one would want us together," I said sadly."You are wrong, Sofia. We are meant to be together. I don't care what anyone else thinks. You are mine, and I am yours. I will never let you go," Ethan said, making my heart flutter. We both moved closer to each other so that we could kiss, but then I heard Ella's voice. "Sofia, Sofia, time to wake up,"I opened my eyes and saw Ella standing there in front of me. "Hey," Ella said. I looked at the clock to see it was almost noon. I was shock
Sofia's Point of ViewAfter grabbing my purse and phone, I decided to head to Ella's room, which wasn't that far from mine. I opened the door and was shocked to see Ethan walking back and forth by my room, looking nervous. When he realized I was there, he stopped moving and looked me in the eyes. I couldn't help but stare into his eyes as well. I felt like I was in a trance. I looked into his beautiful blue eyes that I had loved for so long. After a while, I cleared my throat before speaking."Hi, Ethan," I said. I wanted to face palm myself for not coming up with something better to say. "Hey, I was about to knock on your door to see if you were ready to go get your things from your old apartment," Ethan said"Yeah, I am ready. I was about to go and see if Ella was ready," I replied"Good, we can go to her room together," Ethan said"Okay," I replied. Ella's room was on the other side of the hallway. Ethan and I walked in silence for a moment before he spoke."How did you sleep?" Et
Sofia's Point of View"Where is the rest of your stuff?" Ella asked as Ethan and I walked into the living room. "This is it," I replied, and Ella frowned"This is everything you own?" Ella asked "Yes," I replied. Ella stayed silent. "Now that we have everything, we can leave," Ethan said, and he opened the front door. Mr. Prescott, the owner of the apartment complex, was standing at the door. It looked like he was about to knock. "Hello," Ethan said, and Mr. Prescott's eyes went to me. He had a frown on his face. "Is your mother here?" Mr. Prescott asked"No," I replied"I need to speak to her immediately. She is two months behind on the rent, and I know the utilities have been cut off. If she doesn't pay by the end of the day or keep our arrangement, I am going to have no other option but to evict her," Mr. Prescott said. I didn't even want to think of the arrangement he was talking about. Mr. Prescott was an old, dirty man. He was around sixty years old. I always saw him with
