Chapter 25 He's Awake

His gaze was fixed on Lucas, a tear rolling down his cheek. "Lucas?" he whispered, his voice trembling.

Lucas reached for his hand, nodding affirmatively, but our father pulled him into a long, emotional hug. We sat and talked for what seemed like hours, answering his countless questions.

But then, he fell silent as Niklaus brought in our twins, Abigail and Oliver. I introduced them to him, "This is Grandpa-pa..." And then it hit me – we still didn't know his name!

He held out his arms for the twins, a warm smile spreading across his face. "I'm Grandpa-pa Luke," he said, his eyes shining with joy.

"They're beautiful, Rea!" he exclaimed, his gaze taking in every detail of the twins.

Just then, Bella walked in, concern etched on her face. "Mama, is it okay now?"

I smiled, introducing her to our father. "Daddy, this is my oldest, Bella."

His eyes never left hers, his face filled with wonder. "She's a goddess, Rea!" he declared, his voice full of awe.
