Chapter 68: The Turning Tide

Lyra's POV

The timestream spits me out into chaos. I materialize in the midst of a raging battle, the clash of steel and the roar of magic filling the air. Disoriented, I duck as a fireball whizzes past my head, singeing my hair.

"Where am I?" I gasp, trying to make sense of the mayhem surrounding me.

As my vision clears, I realize I'm standing on the outskirts of an ancient city. Its gleaming spires, a blend of Fae architecture and werewolf strength, stretch towards the sky. But the city is under siege. Dark creatures pour from rifts in reality, their otherworldly screams chilling me to the bone.

A familiar laugh cuts through the din, and my blood runs cold. Elara stands atop a crumbling tower, her arms raised as she weaves a spell of terrifying complexity. The air around her shimmers with power, and I watch in horror as the fabric of reality itself begins to warp and tear.
