Chapter Eighteen
Walking into the kitchen, Belle was rushing around, baking and fussing. Noone else was in here.
‘Hey, Belle, Where is Julie?’ I asked, taking a seat. She let out a loud sigh and came over to me.
‘She’s having a break’. I looked around, there was food everywhere, I could see the oven was on too, telling me she was making more. ‘Well, having the day off’.
‘Is she allowed to just do that and leave you to deal with all of this?’ She shrugged.
‘To be honest, after seeing Master Cole do what he did, She kinda needed it, she was completely losing it’. I couldn’t blam
Chapter NineteenI closed the door behind myself and went to lay down on my bed. I wanted to go and confront Cole for so many reasons but then I remembered, he could literally do whatever he wanted. What I said or did, didn’t matter at all. He was the ‘’master’’ I was nothing.I can’t believe he was married twice. That sounded like a lot of drama. What happened to the guy? I forgot what his name was, and then to be burned so badly by his wife and brother.. Jesus. I kinda understand his ass-hole attitude a little more now. I didn’t like it... But I kinda understood it.Maybe If I go and tell him that... Just as the thought processed in my brain, I shook my head, No, That was a stupid idea. I reminded myself that nothing I could say would matter
Quick note: Hey everyone! I just quickly wanted to say thank you so much for the support and understanding with the lack of updates. Life has been super hectic recently with a lot of life changes and the past week I’ve been on holiday. I am now insanely sunburnt and inside for a while to write. Anyway, enjoy the new chapter, I know it's short but I struggled to get back in the flow, there are mannnyyyy more chapters coming soon <3--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Chapter TwentyWalking around the garden, I just couldn’t get the idea of Cole seeing me with Kane out of my head. I didn’t want to cause any trouble but at the same time… I wanted to see him care. I wanted to see him get j
Chapter TwentyOne...Kane looked really surprised to see me but smiled anyway as I approached him.‘Well, well, well, I wasn’t expecting to see you again so soon’. I just shrugged. ‘You know how to really get under my brother’s skin, don’t you?’‘What do you mean?’‘Do you even know how close he came to genuinely ripping your throat out for how you spoke to him then?’ My insides went cold at his words. Seriously? ‘He was having a very intense mental battle with himself. Kill you or fuck you. He clearly didn’t do either’. I raised my eyebrows in confusion and surprise.‘Fuck me?’ He grinned and nodded.
Chapter TwentyTwoI woke up naturally the next morning and rolled over, bumping into something cold. I opened my eyes, and for a second, I completely forgot about last night… and then the memories all came flying back.Me and Kane… all night long!‘Good Morning Beautiful’. He told me without even opening his eyes. How did he know I was looking at him. Oh, wait, yeah... He has that annoying mind reader thing-y going on. I sat up and stretched out. ‘How did you sleep?’ I chuckled.‘Considering I didn’t get much sleep… I slept well, thanks’.‘Didn’t hear you comp
Chapter TwentyThreeWe stopped in front of a large door, she unlocked it and headed inside. I followed. It was pitch black, but as soon as the door was closed she flipped on the light and I was honestly so taken aback by what I was looking at.‘Is this your room?’ I asked, she nodded. It wasn’t massive but it was bigger than mine. She had a window but the curtains were closed, she had carpet, light... Nice things…‘Yeah, I’ve been here so long, I forget what a luxury some of these things are sometimes’. Yeah, I’ll say. I had next to none of this. ‘We can talk in here safely. It's vampire sound proof’.‘Vampire sound proof?’ She nodded again. ‘What does that mean
Chapter TwentyFourKane’s Point of ViewWeeks had passed and I hadn’t seen Ginny anywhere. Her scent wasn’t in the house, she hadn’t walked the corridors or entered any rooms, I had no idea where she was. At first, I wondered if my dear, jealous brother had gotten rid of her like he did his wife. He can’t handle competition, even when he serves it up himself on a silver platter. If his ego still couldn’t handle it, why the fuck did he even challenge her to do it?He can dish shit out but he couldn’t take it, he never could.I eventually backed down and decided to use my curse to my advantage, but Cole clearly knew I would at some point and put up a mental block so that I couldn’t hear h
Dear Readers, I figured posting an author's note (which is free for you to read) is the best way to get this message to those who are actually reading the book. Leaving comments doesn’t always work. Life has been super crazy recently and I haven’t long gotten back from a week away with my partner and family, hence why I was quiet for a little while and there were no updates on this book. I’m just letting you know that I am leaving on a 10 day holiday on Friday 6th August 2021. While I will have my laptop with me, I am going to try my best to NOT do any writing. I am already going to be taking time away from fun activities for work meetings and courses. When I have downtime and my child is sleeping, I MIGHT do some writing then, but otherwise, please just be aware that there won’t be any updates between 6th-16th August 2021.
Chapter TwentyFiveCole’s Point of View‘Cole, Kane. That is enough! Honestly, my children behaving in such a way, How disappointing’. I clenched my jaw shut, resisting the urge to both roll my eyes and backchat. I hated when she just turned up and started throwing her weight around, but I had to remember, this might be my house, but she is my mother and I still need to show respect.Maggie instantly ran over to her, hugging her and telling her how much she missed her. I just stayed where I was standing. Constantine went over to give our mother a hug too, followed by Kane.Suck up.‘Don’t you have a hug for your mother, Cole?’ She asked, holding
Chapter One Hundred and EightCole’s Point of View‘Right, are we ready?’ I whispered. At the moment, all of us were hidden in the bushes outside, getting ready to attack. ‘3….2….1...go, go, go!’Jumping up, Me, Chris and his brothers decided to tackle the guards while the others made it inside. As soon as we were seen, it was like things went from 0 to 100 in a second, There were many more guards than we first thought, but we were ready.Throwing my first punch, I noticed the others got inside.Thank god!Ginny’s P
Chapter One Hundred and SevenCole’s Point of ViewEveryone was talking among themselves and I decided to take a minute. I wandered over to Chris and asked if I could talk to him for a moment. As soon as we were away from everyone and their ears, I turned and looked at him.‘How are you feeling?’ He nodded.‘I’m good, Don’t worry’.‘Good, I’m glad. Listen... I told Millie about our night together’. His eyes popped open wide. I could already sense his concern. ‘Don’t worry, she’s not going to tell Nick and we worked through it. She’s not going to cause any problems, OK?’
Chapter One Hundred and Six***A Few Days Later***I couldn’t believe it. I mean, Obviously, my ex-wife was alive, I’ve spoken to her, but, I’d only just sort of, Wrapped my head around it and now here we were, sitting opposite each other in a coffee shop.I got here first and waited for her and I can honestly say, The second she walked through the door, I almost SHAT myself. Part of me thought this was all just a complete wind-up and she wasn’t really Corinee, but there she was. Here she was sitting.It. Was. Corinee.‘So, Are you going to speak? You were the one who wanted to meet me’. She spoke first, her voice tugged on old heartstrings, but that
Chapter One Hundred and FiveI dropped Chris off at my house so that he can relax and get a bit better before I take him home to Nick. Nick was still pretty poorly himself, I didn’t want him to have to worry or deal with Chris when he should be focusing on his own health. I text Nick to say that Chris would be home that evening or the next morning.Sighing, I got back into my car and headed towards Kane and Ginny’s House. I need to try and save my marriage now everything is going back on track.I need my baby girl and son home with me.Something I realised on the way over to my brother's house to see my wife is that Orian was going to be one In less than 3 months. I’ve missed so much of his first year already, I didn’t want to
Chapter One Hundred and Four‘Wow, You actually remembered my name, I’m shocked’. I just couldn’t believe this. Was this actually.. Seriously happening? She was dead… She died. I know she did. I sold her and her new master worked her to death. I was told this.. I-I knew this. ‘Are you actually stuck for words?’It was strange to hear so much hate in her voice, she was always such a sweet, happy girl... Now venom dripped from every word she spoke.I looked up at Ginny, She was just as shocked and confused as I was.‘I’ll leave you to it’. She mouthed. I nodded and she vanished into the night.‘Cole?’
Chapter One Hundred and ThreeCole’s Point of View‘Seriously… you’re this amazing Vampire-Killer. You?!’ He just grinned and he continued to walk towards me...‘Surprised?’ He asked‘Well... You don’t exactly look like a Killer’.‘Don’t underestimate me. Your pathetic side-piece did’. I was confused by that. What did he mean, ‘’My Side-piece’’? Sensing my confusion, he grinned again. ‘Christopher Knight’.‘Chris?’ Anger boiled up inside me. ‘What the fuck have you done to him?, He hasn’t done anything to you!’ Throwing his
Chapter One Hundred and TwoMillie’s Point of ViewIt had been months since I’d actually seen Cole. I wasn’t lying when I said I was done. He sees Orian a couple of times a week, but it's my parents who take him over and pick him back up again. He’s made no attempt to contact me, and I haven’t tried to contact him either.Rumour has it, He’s seeing someone else now anyway, I guess he never loved me as much as he says. I haven’t been wallowing in self-pity though, I have a baby boy who relies on me staying strong and I do...I stay strong for him.Mum and dad constantly give me updates about what's going on. To be honest, it's nice, but it just makes me f
Chapter One Hundred and OneDays turned into weeks and weeks turned into months and still no sign of my daughter. I feel like I'm the only one who cares about trying to find her, I don’t even have my best friend now. Since the night me and Chris cheated on our partners, we haven’t seen or spoken to each other. I understand why, I’m his daughter's husband, his husband only just came out of the hospital, but sex-aside, he was my best friend.I’m living apart from my wife and son. My daughters missing and now I don’t even have my best friend to confide in.Life truly fucking sucks right now.I have ‘’gone off the rails’’ recently. I figured, If t
Chapter One Hundred!!!!Melissa’s Point of View*** A few Weeks Later***I wandered through the house with Orian in my arms. As he’s getting older and older with each passing day, I’m really noticing changes in him. He’s started smiling and now when something makes him happy, you can’t wipe the smile off his face. With him sitting on my hip, We bounced around, He was giggling... It melted my heart.Days passed… and then weeks and there was still no sign of Maggie.Cole was killing himself looking for her, So were the rest of the family and now even the police, but no one has had any luck.
