It was horrible to have to observe Barbara all the time occupied on the monitor. The woman's fingers moved over the keyboard without the slightest intention of abandoning whatever she was doing. Moreau did not understand her mother's thinking. She had forbidden her to be involved in the office; anything, for the company that was, at the moment, being run by her late father's right-hand man for a predetermined period of time.

For Moreau, Barbara's attitude here was revealed to be quite excessive as a business owner. In fact, she harbors an odd sense of something pointed. Yes, something about a will had been written long before Jeremias Riveri breathed his last:

With her as the sole heir; Moreau would continue the family company at the age of 28. However, it seemed too improbable after what Barbara had controlled through Jeremias Riveri's permission back then. Instead, Moreau was required to take dance lessons as a child.

"There is no need to do so, Moreau. I'm not hungry." Moreau's body jerked, so surprised was she to find her stepfather suddenly looming an inch away from the bar. The man was still in the white shirt that was revealed to be sexy and fitted, while this time the gray suit was hanging on the bent arms, looking so solid that Moreau struggled to choose the best words to judge. But... she really wasn't going to say anything outright. Abihirt seemed to be holding something back and Moreau felt sorry for him. She wasn't thinking about the offer the man had made, but felt sorry for how Abihirt had to be more patient with her mother. She wasn't sure she wanted to let the man go, now, after the shocking, perhaps even devastating, events of this afternoon. Abihirt was unlikely to ask Barbara for help if the man was doing well. Moreau pursed her lips subconsciously realizing that soon her stepfather would be leaving the kitchen. "Did the accident this afternoon make your shoulder hurt?" She

"Alright, where's your injured shoulder?" The corner of Abihirt's lips twitched slightly, whether it was satisfaction or a habit Moreau had never known. She swallowed harshly at how her stepfather's arm reached out to simply grab the coat on the bed, then reached for something there. The situation spiraled out of control as the man undid one button after another on the white shirt, then stripped the work clothes off to clutch them in the palm of his hand. Moreau is still unable to say anything as she watches Abihirt half-naked with muscles bulging in the abdomen, the biceps on the man's arms looking solid, even the butt that looks solid and sexy finally sticking to the edge of the bed. How horrible it would be if Moreau was lulled by the slim hips, especially at the vestiges of bluish veins creeping up, hiding in one place under the man's work pants. She had to remember who the man she was observing was.

After finishing the rest of the pending work. Barbara was in the mood for some esophageal relief, but a bit of irony... found her husband still in his white shirt busily removing a plate of dinner with a puff of smoke wafting into the air. A beautiful sight. Barbara loved the clay-hungry body, and it was tantalizing. Something inside Barbara throbbed just remembering how firm Abihirt was in bed. It was quite regrettable that she had turned down the honeymoon invitation from the man who currently seemed to have no interest in talking despite being aware of her existence. Too busy. But thankfully it was only a few moments when Abihirt had chosen to sit down, then those gray eyes glanced over briefly just to be sure. "Why are you heating up your own dinner, Abi? Where is Moreau? Didn't I ask her to do this for you?" Barbara asked while adjusting their seating positions facing each other at the dining table. Her eyes never left every action Abihirt took. The man was unaffected, ca

"Ever since your mom got married, I think your life hasn't gotten calmer, it's gotten more chaotic." Moreau almost held her breath in response to Juan's statement before her. She gave a skeptical glance. Not knowing whether the man's conjecture was right or wrong, the various feelings that were stirring were too complicated to decipher. At one time Moreau tried not to think about it further, but on the other hand she refused to acknowledge Juan's judgment. Still wishing, wishing... she had never had a one-night stand with the man her mother was bound to. Marriage, for Moreau, is not a playful relationship. The commitment, the decisions made between the two, the parts of the real goal, and all the things involved; had its own level of responsibility. Moreau almost unconsciously chuckled at the thought of Abihirt's invitation some time ago. An offer that conveyed an absolute statement. The man was even passionate about Barbara. How sad. Would Abihirt also have a hidden passion fo

[Where are you, Moreau?] "I'm at the restaurant with Juan." Moreau responded with a look that caught the expression on Juan's face, which would occasionally raise one eyebrow high, especially when the man's name was mentioned. But that was not what Moreau was thinking. Barbara was not used to contacting her at this time of day, she felt a little suspicious. [I might be working late, can you prepare dinner for your father?] It was expected that there would be an order, never mind a silly request. Moreau thinned her lips involuntarily. It was hard to think that she and her stepfather would be stuck under the same roof together. However, how could she refuse? The need was demanding that Moreau say something immediately. Her moving lips had prepared an important excuse, and suddenly the phone line was cut off unilaterally. Barbara's habit never went away. That woman always had an in

Moreau deliberately let the water splash as she tried to calculate, how long would it take Abihirt to leave the restaurant? She suspected something, that if it involved Froy in such a place, it meant that the uncle and nephew's need was to talk about something important, perhaps. Moreau wasn't too sure. Just felt like, really wished Abihirt would leave the restaurant, but should she intentionally keep Juan waiting for a long time at their table? It was a complete choice. Not one that was ever implied, though Juan would understand. Yes, Moreau probably could have waited longer. Already confirmed her resolve. However, she was forgetting something. The cell phone. How would she know Abihirt had finished with Froy, when she wasn't carrying a handheld cell phone all the way to the bathroom? There was nothing Moreau could do but stare at her reflection in the mirror. The miserable feeling was clear

"You're my mother's husband, Abi. Understand." Not knowing how many times Moreau reminded Abihirt. There never seemed to be a day when she had to stop. Here, in one humid room, having to face even the saddest of despair, but by all means Moreau tried to take the bravest resolve, after some silence unfolded following the man's mouth that was still so close there. Tendrils of warm breath tried to seduce the recesses of her neck. Moreau swallowed harshly— not wanting to give in to the situation, and slowly... stealthily reached out so that the man's chest would not ambush the need to breathe. There was no denying that Abihirt was like an ancient artifact, so hard and solid when asked to leave. There was no reply, in fact it seemed the man was only interested in watching the worry creep around Moreau's shoulders. What kind of beautiful impression could one imagine? She wondered. Irony. Only to find that Abihirt was not exactly filled with contentment. Suddenly the man's two hand

Thinking Juan would give in to the secrets around. He didn't. Moreau was wrong to assume the man would forget everything that had made the least impression between them. With his curiosity piqued, he deliberately contacted her at a certain time, in the kitchen after Moreau had almost finished preparing dinner for Abihirt. Indeed, exactly what Barbara had requested at the restaurant moments ago. She wasn't too sure, but the same menu as last night didn't sound too bad. [Hurry up with the story, Amiga. How did your ex-lover turn out to be the nephew of your stepfather?"] Moreau snorted for a moment, then stared at her phone screen with half-interest. Juan's face was still revealed so closely there, as if deliberately showing how much the man needed a quick answer. There was nothing Moreau could say for sure. Some things were out of her control. Just as she was so surprised to learn for the first time that Abihirt was married to Barbara, the man she'd actually had a one-night stand w

  • Forbidden Agreements   He Made It

"You have to be careful." Don't know why, but that's what Moreau said. She looked longingly at Abihirt's face. The first brief reaction was a faint nod. There was nothing else to do when she only needed to observe her stepfather's body was out of sight. Abihirt dived. Moreau did not expect that she would be waiting for quite some time. That was surprising. There was no clue about her stepfather from the start. Abihirt's method was definitely not like Froy's who often popped into the air, though this made Moreau feel very scared as she further examined the calm surface after a few puddle runs. Abihirt was completely unpredictable about appearing, and then... at times she would daydream—the sound of splashing water immediately drawing her attention closer. Moreau straightened her shoulders. Unfortunately, she would not immediately find Abihirt turning his head towards her. The man presumably just wanted to scoop up some oxygen and dive back into the water.

  • Forbidden Agreements   Taking Over

Moreau's body suddenly stiffened at the sight of the water splashing, while Abihirt had gotten closer to Froy. The man offered help to his nephew and there was some relief that they were slowly swimming to the shore. She and Gabriel instinctively ran to the lip of the lake. It wasn't Froy Moreau was thinking about. Only her stepfather. Let Gabriel take the remaining action by welcoming the man—who seemed to be panting—to be laid down on the grass with a groan. The cramping was painful. The feeling could be imagined so clearly in her mind. Moreau winced, but also looked over to find that Abihirt had climbed to the ground. Now the man towered over her soaking wet. Staring at his nephew half annoyed, though saying nothing but letting Froy calm down a bit more. Slowly... at least it had subsided. There was still no conversation. However, Gabriel again offered to help when Froy tried to get up from his seat and looked up hesitantly. "I can't find the necklace."

Moreau continued to watch her stepfather. The unpredictable handsome man was now at least trying not to be incensed at any form of resistance from Froy. "You know that throwing something small into the lake will make it difficult for you to find, so why do you keep doing it? You keep throwing Moreau's necklace for no reason." Abihirt's question was simple enough, but it more than made Froy almost faint. The man's eyes moved restlessly. It took a few moments of pause to actually find an answer. "I was out of line, Uncle. I was angry at the attitude you gave Lewi and the way you gave the necklace to Moreau instead!" That was like a huge protest. Froy's voice boomed loudly. The man was lucky, because it seemed like Abihirt had paid with money to make people leave the park, which Moreau only realized when she looked around. Not a surprise. She should be used to it. "What's wrong with that? Didn't I replace Lewi's necklace with a new one?" Abihirt's statement this time made Fro

  • Forbidden Agreements   Back to the Lake

Moreau thought that Gabriel's involvement in the trip to Sierre De Guadarrama National Park was something that made it an unfair prospect. However, it turned out that she was wrong to include such a notion, as Abihirt's wishes were more understandable when asking her to move to Gabriel's car, while the man walked into the building—quite a flashy place there. Moreau had been to this place before; it was where Froy got married and she ended up asking for permission to leave early. It was a little odd to think that Abihirt had actually come to the man's nephew for some sort of accountability. Now she found her stepfather forcing Froy to walk. Although it seemed forced, Froy would have no choice. The man's body had disappeared in the car. Only a tendrils of shadow remained, then she also had to watch Abihirt's body get into the driver's seat. The car engine started and that's when Gabriel understood to bring them up behind. "Abi wants to ask his nephew to dive

Moreau shook her head for a while. In the end, she decided to lift her face. She was almost surprised—of course, because this was not what she wanted to find; the smallest hint of disappointment on her stepfather's handsome face, no matter how much Abihirt tried to keep every detail of the reaction between them brief. The necklace left to her was indeed a lasting memory and Moreau was sure it was very-very precious. "I apologize." She still could not take it for granted that Abihirt did not want to prosecute anything at the moment. There was an impact where her heart felt like it was being crushed. Staring at the man made her eyes sting and heat up. To the time that kept crawling forward... would soon be accompanied by seepage of water and Moreau would not be able to hold back. Perhaps Abihirt understood how worry controlled the fear in her mind, so the man hugged instead of saying angry. Hugging after letting her tremble as if this was an unexpected outburst of trouble. • Forbidden Agreements   Attention

There was only one step left, so Moreau should have been able to finish this sooner. She swallowed harshly. A moment of staring at the doorknob with great fear before finally being overwhelmed by the determined action of pressing and pushing inside. Perhaps she did so in such a hurry, that the sound that broke the surface immediately attracted someone there. Who would have thought that Abihirt would be towering in front of the translucent glass, while the man's gray eyes were assaulted by the view from outside. There was something Moreau couldn't quite put her finger on. She felt—then—Abihirt was daydreaming, because after all... detecting the man's response; little could be expressed in the odd way that Abihirt acted oddly upon realizing her presence. There were no words. No sentence was even close to being uttered. Silence. And yet, in those moments of near—closeness, Moreau felt how her heart rumbled loudly. Like it didn't want to stop. It was still hammering and sh

"Why don't you come with me, Juan? I'm afraid to go in alone." Everything was supposed to be fine—no; actually—a little fine, until Juan's shocking confession almost made the whole stability of Moreau's mind and how she had desperately fought for, now suddenly fall apart. Juan's decision seemed so absolute, though Moreau still hoped the man would suddenly change his mind and then they could settle this whole matter quickly. Unfortunately, the faint shaking response was something so real. It had such an impact that Moreau almost forgot how to breathe properly. She turned her face out the window, glancing around the place. Not ready to go down yet. Almost desperate at the thought of being so close to Abihirt. What was the man currently doing in there? Busy with some important business? "Just accompany me for a moment." Once again Moreau tried to persuade. This time really craving how Juan would agree. She looked up at the man, but was always met with the

Technically, the necklace was hers. Yet, no matter how cynical Moreau's voice had become, Froy still showed no intention of correcting his wrongdoing. Instead, he chuckled, as if there was no need for corrective behavior for an intentional mistake. "Who do you think you are to tell me what to do?" Now that one question almost made Moreau thin her lips faintly. She simply restrained herself, then made sure the tips of her fingernails dug deep into the surface of Froy's arm like she often did to Abihirt, though this was clearly a different concept; not pure insistence; she wanted Froy to agree immediately or at least until the man jumped into the water. "It doesn't matter who I am. Make sure you return the necklace to my hands. I don't care which way you do it either, but one thing's for sure... I won't hesitate to tell Abi everything you've done." It wasn't just a threat. Froy should have understood. Alas, the man did not care. "You're his favorite gir

"Juan, we should go home," Moreau said, really not wanting to look at Froy's annoying face. She pulled the ends of the cloth over Juan's body. The man understood easily. They should walk, in any direction, to leave this place as soon as possible. However, only one step was taken. The next, a touch on Moreau's hand was tight. "I'm not done yet." The man hissed almost too close. How insolent, as if Froy had deliberately left the pain until Moreau winced faintly. "I have nothing to talk to you about. Let go!" A slight rebellion from Moreau. Struggling hard to brush off Froy's pathetic behavior, but it was useless. Even the actions of Lewi and Juan left no good prospects. Froy would really go crazy, if it continued like this. "I don't know what you're trying to talk about, but this necklace was given to me at your uncle's wish and also with my mother's consent. My mother herself isn't angry, so why are you bothering with a matter that you obviously don't k
