Three months later
Teya sat on her bed, tapping away at her laptop and thinking of the man she’d spent the past three months with. He sat across from her, watching her work in silence. He’d kept all of his promises. He went back to her after he’d left the hell-house. And most importantly, the affection had never stopped. He tried to find new ways to show he cared for her each day.
It was a bit unreal for Teya. He was way too perfect. It was winter now, so Ken bought a car to drive her to and from work, as well as other places around town. How he could afford it, she didn’t know. She’d asked him several times about it, but he would only kiss her and promise to explain someday.
As for Ken’s daily tasks, he continued to seek the vampire hunters, gathering as much information as he could. At night, right before dawn, he would report his findings to Allen and come back to Teya. He would kiss her like she was the only woman in the world.
Teya yawned. “Ok I’m done for tonight,” she said sheepishly. Ken wrapped his arms around her, pulling her down playfully.
“Have I told you how beautiful you look when you’re sleepy?” he asked, kissing her softly as she smiled.
“I’m sure you have, but you can remind me again,” she teased, making him laugh.
“Well, you’re very beautiful to me. I wouldn’t trade you for the world,” he told her. Teya sat up with a serious look on her face.
“Don’t go to Allen tonight. Stay the night, and report back to him tomorrow,” she pleaded, squeezing his shirt. Her nightly fears were causing her to lose sleep. The more they cared for each other, the worse she felt with the deal he’d made. He kissed her again.
“You know I have to uphold this deal to have my time with you. I can’t risk Allen coming after both of us. I’m afraid,” he confessed. “I’m afraid I won’t be able to protect you if he did.”
Teya grabbed his cheeks gently, looking him in the eyes, and said, “You are strong, Ken. You’ll beat him. What has Allen done to you to make you so afraid?” Ken remained quiet, and Teya released his face.
“Why won’t you tell me? I won’t look at you differently. I pro—” she started to say, before he stood up abruptly.
“Never promise something if you don’t know the extent of it. I have to go, but I promise I’ll return,” he said, as he began to walk toward her balcony, ready to just jump off, and hoped she would forget. This was Teya he was talking about though – his Teya. He knew her well enough to remember how stubborn and willing she was. She would not let this discussion go. He sighed, his hand resting on the doorknob.
“I’ll tell you everything once I return,” he said, and with that he opened the balcony door and was gone in an instant.
“I’ll be up waiting!” Teya yelled, knowing he could hear her from outside.
Ken looked around the house, somewhat worried. There was no one there. He checked every room in the house – all but one. Salina opened her bedroom door seconds after he knocked.
“Ken. I was hoping you would show up tonight,” she said. Ken tried not to roll his eyes at the fact that out of everyone in this house, he was alone with Salina.
“Where is everyone?” he asked, sniffing the air. “I don’t smell hunters. Shouldn’t they be back from feeding by now?”
Salina walked fully out her room, swaying her hips in her lingerie, which consisted of see-through panties and a bra. Now he really wanted to roll his eyes.
“They’re fine. They left for Paris,” she said, grabbing some wine from the kitchen. Ken continued following her for information. She offered Ken a glass, but he declined. “You remember how Allen and Rosa loved, Paris don’t you?”
Ken remembered those times. He only went with them to Paris once. It wasn’t a good time for him, as Allen killed over a thousand men and women within the weekend, but he enjoyed the scenery. He’d even considered taking Teya there one day.
“Yes, he does love Parisian blood above all else,” Ken replied, lost in thought. “Maybe I’ll leave him a note or something, to tell him I stopped by,” he half-joked, knowing that Allen would sense he was in the room whenever he walked through the door. Salina placed her glass down.
“You can’t sit and chat with an old friend?” she said, seductively sitting on a stool with her legs open for Ken to see. Ken choked back a laugh.
“I’m sorry, Salina, but when were we ever friends?” he asked. Salina smirked.
“I’ve known you since you were ten. I practically raised you.”
“And that makes it even more wrong,” he exclaimed. He was getting annoyed now, being forced to remember his childhood. “I know Rosa had to make you stop touching me,” He confessed with a shiver, “And I saw you with a different guy every night before you started fucking Allen. So how dare you sit here and say that we were friends?”
Salina stood up, remaining calm over Ken’s accusations, and said, “It’s that human bitch filling your head with silly dreams. She’s been telling you I’m the bad guy, am I right?”
“She doesn’t know about any of this. I don’t want her to know my dark past,” he said. She sniffed.
“I know she isn’t giving you any,” she said, walking closer, still trying to persuade him. He grabbed her wrist before she could touch his chest. It was then that he managed to smell her. Besides the expensive perfume she wore, he could smell Rodney fresh on her body. His face contorted into anger. He twisted her wrist behind her back and pushed her against the wall, grabbing her throat with his other hand. He squeezed as hard as his strength would allow.
“What have you done?” he roared. She heaved for air. “Where is Rodney?”
His voice had become demonic. He flipped her around so she was now facing him, but remained pinned to the wall.
“You’d better start fucking talking, Salina! I swear to whoever you pray to, I’ll rip out your fucking throat! Where is Rodney? What have you done?”
*******
Teya laid herself down on the bed, watching the balcony. Ken was late, and she couldn’t stop herself from worrying. Somewhere down the line, she knew she loved Ken. It was so sudden, though. She’d just lost her best friend three months ago, and now she was drooling all over this half-human, half-vampire guy. They barely knew each other, but her heart felt bereft and lost whenever she thought about what she should and shouldn’t do. How she should and shouldn’t feel. Did the rules apply for the situation they’d found themselves in?
As she wondered, a sudden breeze entered the room, and the balcony door burst open.
“Ken?” she called, standing up from the bed and looking around the room. She saw no one. Her heart began to pound loudly, and she began to panic. Before she could back away from the door, a force pushed her against the wall. The blow knocked the wind out of her lungs, and she quickly hit the ground. She tried to move towards her knife in the dresser, but her body wouldn’t cooperate. She tried to get to her feet, but her efforts failed.
“Going somewhere?” a masculine voice asked. The stranger began to climb on top of her. She gasped, trying to figure out an escape. “So you’re the one that Ken’s been wearing like perfume? Although I must say, you do smell delicious.”
Teya remained quiet. She didn’t know what to say even if the words could come out. “Don’t worry. I already know,” he snarled. He grabbed her arms and placed them above her head.
“What do you want?” she asked, her voice cracked, and tears fell down her face. His head cocked to the side evilly, and his mouth watered.
“To give you what Ken hasn’t,” he said. His grip tightened on her wrists, and his fingernail pierced her skin until small drops of blood ran down her arm. He licked the blood clean, moaning as he did so. “I’m going to enjoy this.”
He held her down on the floor and placed his knee on her thighs, forcing them open. Teya tried to scream, but he grabbed her throat.
“Too bad Ken didn’t have the guts to change you when he had the chance. He’s been too busy fucking Salina,” the stranger jeered as he ripped her pants apart. He pressed his cock against her leg, causing Teya to clench and try to move away from him.
“Stop, please!” she cried. Hot tears ran down her cheeks. The stranger smiled evilly, and he licked the side of her face. He squeezed her breast roughly, tweaking and pinching her nipples. Fresh tears burned her eyes as she gave up hope.
“I love you, Ken,” she wept, realizing that the vampire stranger was going to kill her. She closed her eyes tightly as the stranger continued with his invasion.
It was then that the balcony door swung open with a forceful thud, shattering the glass. Teya opened her eyes to see the beast that was Ken.
“Through already?” The stranger laughed, but his chortles quickly turned into chokes.
“Rodney!” Ken growled, throwing the vampire off Teya and leaving a dent in the wall. He pulled the stranger back to his feet and punched him continuously until blood spat out his mouth.
“I’m going to fucking kill you!” he growled, low and dangerous. He grabbed Rodney’s arm and twisted it out of place until it made a cracking noise. Rodney screamed as Teya gasped and looked away. Rodney attempted to fight back, kicking his leg up and aiming for Ken’s stomach. However, Ken stepped back slowly, and he managed to catch the leg Rodney had tried to attack with. He elbowed his kneecap, breaking it in half. Ken grabbed Rodney by the throat and walked toward the balcony. His other hand reached for his heart.
“You can’t kill me! Allen will see this as your betrayal, and he will come after the both of you!” Rodney exclaimed, forcing Ken to pause. Rodney laughed at the hesitation, before adding, “And you know you can’t kill him.”
Ken’s mouth twitched. His eyes were bloodshot, and filled with anger and revenge. He then ripped Rodney’s leg from his body.
“You’re right. I can’t kill you today. But if you dare come here again, I’ll rip off your fucking head and shit down your throat!” he roared, before throwing Rodney off the balcony. He landed with a hard thud, and soon found that his leg had followed.
“Now limp back to Hell before the sun scorches you and satisfies me,” he shouted, before turning back toward Teya, his eyes wide with concern. He was by her in an instant, his rage never faltering as he inspected her body. His heart pounded against his ribcage once he saw the markings on her chest, red with Rodney’s handprints. He snarled before he could contain it. His fist clenched until his knuckles went white.
“I’m going to rip that fucker’s head off,” he growled, low and vicious. Teya shuddered.
“Who was that?” she finally asked. Ken didn’t answer. Instead, he stood up and went to the bathroom, gathering ointment and a warm towel. He returned and gently lifted the cami top’s strap, and causing Teya to jump back, her eyes going wide. Ken’s eyes were still deadly, squinted, and dark.
“Teya, I’m not going to hurt you,” he said, trying to sound as calm as possible, but he couldn’t help the snappiness in his voice. Teya shivered as she looked down at her breasts. They were sore and badly bruised, turning blue-black on her caramel skin. He lifted the rag to her breast again, releasing the cami strap. Tears formed in her eyes as Ken gently patted the towel against her chest. She hissed as the hot water stung her flesh. He remained quiet until he’d finished her chest and back, at which point he carefully picked her up and slowly laid her on the bed. He looked down at her, brushing the hair back from her forehead lovingly.
“I’m sorry, Teya. I feel this is all my fault. I was careless about hiding your scent from them, and they—” he stopped short, clenching his fist and becoming angry all over, before adding, “I shouldn’t be so careless with you.” He sat on the bed beside her.
“Who was that?” she asked again, faintly.
“Rodney,” he said, snarling the name in disgust. “One of Allen’s outside flunkies. Let’s get you back to health first.”
He inspected her body again, observing her back as she tried to turn herself over.
“Is anything else hurting you? I’m taking you to the hospital,” he declared, and he started to pick her back up before she hissed and groaned.
“No, I’m fine, really. I’m just a little sore,” she mumbled. Ken tightened his lips.
“You will not argue with me about your safety. Do you realize how important you are to me? How it felt to see that asshole touching you? Hurting you? I vowed that I would protect you, and I’ve failed miserably. I’m taking you to the hospital now,” he said, grabbing a blanket and a coat, and wrapping them around her. He sped to the car, being careful not to hurt her worse.

“Well, it could’ve been worse. There are no broken bones or signs of internal bleeding. I still want to keep her overnight, just in case the swelling doesn’t go down. We will give her pain meds, and she should be ok by tomorrow morning,” the doctor said, taking a brief pause before continuing on. “How did this happen again?”
Ken sighed. “A man broke into her house and attacked her. That’s all I know.”
The doctor raised his eyebrows. “Did you call the police?” he asked. Ken shook his head.
“No. I’m fine. I don’t want the police involved just yet,” Teya replied, weakly. The doctor frowned.
“You should Miss Daniels. But I’ll leave you two alone for now,” he said, before walking out the room, and leaving Ken grateful for the minor injuries. He held Teya’s hand as she tried to get comfortable in the hospital bed.
“It’s not safe for me to go back home, is it?” she asked. Ken lowered his eyes, not wanting to lie to her.
“It’s not. Until I can get things taken care of with Allen and fix this, you will have to move in with me,” he said. Her eyes went wide.
“I need to be close to the school. I can’t just up and leave the apartment,” she replied. He patted her arm, trying to soothe her.
“I’ll pay for the apartment, and for whatever you need. Don’t worry. After we leave here, we will stop by your house and get your things,” he stated.
Teya wanted to protest. That place was her home. To have it taken away so quickly was devastating. However, that was the least of her worries. She looked up to see Ken pulling off his jacket and his shoes. He gestured for her to move over on the small bed. She wanted to laugh, but knew it would hurt.
“You won’t be able to fit,” she said, laughing anyways. Ken smirked.
“Try me,” he replied. She inched over as far as she could in order to give him space to lay beside her. He wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her close to him.
“What’s wrong?” he asked, concern filling his heart. She sighed.
“Were you really with Salina?” she asked. Ken cupped her chin.
“Look at me, Teya. See the truth in my eyes. I have never found Salina attractive, not even a little bit. She tried to seduce me so I couldn’t come to save you,” he told her. Teya looked confused.
“They want to kill me? Did I do something wrong? I didn’t talk to the police. I—” she was interrupted as Ken kissed her chin, right below her bottom lip.
“She’s jealous of you, Teya,” he explained. Teya tried to remember the woman.
“The one at the party?” she asked. She pictured her, and couldn’t fathom a model-looking woman like that being jealous of her. Teya didn’t know what to feel about that.
“Beautiful,” Ken said, nibbling her bottom lip now. Teya blinked.
“Huh?”
“I called you beautiful,” he said, smiling. “Were you listening?”
Teya shook her head, saying, “I’m sorry. I was thinking.”
“About?” he asked. Teya’s eyes looked away.
“How Salina looked. How you could choose me over her,” she said. He kissed the corner of her mouth.
“My heart chose you, Teya. There’s been no competition since the moment you kissed my cheek. I want and love you,” he declared, pulling her even closer in his embrace. Teya tried to pull away, hoping to look him in the eyes.
“What?” Teya asked, smiling as he caressed her cheek.
“I love you. No one is going to take you away from me now that I found you,” Ken said, leaning in close and kissing her until she felt faint.
“You saved me, Teya,” he whispered, inches from her face. “So you deserve to know who you are giving your heart to. My soul is corrupt. I’ve done things I’m not proud of. Things that should make a man go crazy.”
Chapter 5Seventeen Years EarlierKen ran through the dark streets. Even at his young age, he already had the eyes of a man who’d seen too much. He was hoping to find someone who could help him get away from this madman. All he wanted was ice cream, but that was a mistake he knew he couldn’t afford to make again. His face was already bloody from one too many hits. He ran into the store and immediately headed for the freezer aisle. He was opening a jug of water when the store clerk caught him and began yelling. Thankfully, an older couple saw the poor kid being screamed at by the store clerk.“Hey, I’ll pay for whatever he takes. Just leave the kid alone,” the older man yelled back at the store clerk. The older woman walked closer to Ken.“Oh my gosh! Harold, he’s hurt! We have to take him to a hospital!” she screamed. Ken turned around, his eyes widening
Chapter 6“Thank God you’re alright,” Markees said, wrapping his arms around her as soon as she opened the door. Startled, she just patted his back, comforting him.“Why I wouldn’t I be?” she asked, confused.“I heard you were in the hospital,” Markees said, releasing her to inspect her neck for bite marks. “Was it that boyfriend with the blonde hair? He’s dangerous Teya. You can tell me if he—”“He didn’t,” she blurted out angrily, jerking away from him. “He wouldn’t do anything to hurt me.” Markees sighed, relieved.“How’d you know I was in the hospital?” she asked. Markees ran a shaky hand through his hair.“We’ve been watching you, of course. Ross and I,” he told her. Teya firmly tightened her lips. “It popped up in the database that someone had attacked you. I thought it was
Chapter 7Ken allowed the hot, steaming water to caress his body and soothe his soul, as he thought about the events of the past, and those to come. He knew he couldn’t trust Allen. He slammed the wall, but tried to refrain from breaking it. Teya was in even more danger now, but luckily, no full-blooded vampires could take him. Except Allen, he thought, growling. He had to be stopped somehow. Ken just knew that something wasn’t right, that something was off.Teya woke up searching for Ken. She looked around the bedroom, only to find him standing by the balcony door, watching the sunrise.“Hey, you,” she said, clearing her throat. She noticed Ken sway as he began to walk towards her. He was only able to accomplish three steps before his knees collapsed, sending him falling to the floor. Teya rushed out of the bed to help him.“Ken! What’s wrong?” she cried, panicked. He closed his eyes with frustra
Chapter 8Ken waited patiently as Teya showered, contemplating the events that had transpired. The vampire hunters, Allen, his past, and how they were all connected. Markees had investigated his house on a hunch that he was a vampire, but he’d still seen Ken in daylight. That didn’t make sense. They couldn’t have associated him with the vampires.Hell, he didn’t even want to be associated with them. He mostly hated vampires, so what could’ve possessed the man to send hunters to his house? Was Markees’s small detector buzzing worth the home invasion? What the hell were they looking for? Nothing made sense. Nothing was adding up.The shower stopped running, causing Ken to become alert. He sat up on the bed, anxious for her to walk out. He could smell her already. The vanilla soap she used invaded his nose. He was holding his breath without even realizing it. She opened the door to reveal her sexy lingerie: a see-through nightg
Chapter 9Teya moaned as Ken’s hands massaged her back inside the tub. She sat between his legs while he rested his back against the tub. He had insisted she take a bath instead of a shower, as he knew that she was sore from his persistent love-making. He wanted to learn as much as he could about her body during their first time. He noticed how she liked a slow, hard pace instead of just a fast one. She was more sensitive on her right breast than her left. He learned where her G spot was, which caused her to come all over the bed at least five more times. He pulled her against him so she could rest against his chest. He was hard again. She blushed.“Again, Ken? We’ve done it like five times already,” she said, although her body was already on fire. She melted against him.“I know you’re tired, baby. I’m just addicted to you. I don’t think I will ever get enough of you,” he replied, nibb
Chapter 10Ken waited for Teya, pacing the floor anxiously. Those damn nerves were back, and it was driving him crazy. The outfit she’d bought was even more nerve-wracking. He would have to punch out the eyes of every man in attendance tonight.Worse still, the fear of the night consumed the both of them. Allen was sure to be out wreaking havoc, but hopefully he would be somewhere far away from the club they were attending. After heavy persistence, he’d finally persuaded Teya to go, as long as he was with her. Dressing up was important to her, but not to him. He went for a simple look - a pair of jeans and a long-sleeved shirt.Teya, on the other hand, felt she had to look as beautiful as she could if she was going out on Ken’s arm. Many women found him stunning, which made Teya feel like she didn’t measure up. She looked at her face in the mirror, fixing her hair.“Sexy man of mine, what are you doing?” s
Chapter 11Ken thanked the heavens that Markees didn’t ask any more questions. Teya was still in her dress, and he knew that Markees was looking at her when he spoke about the club, but he didn’t push them any further for answers. He knew that Markees had only done it for her. He undressed Teya painfully, as his cock was so hard he had to stop and readjust his pants. The smoothness of her skin was so addicting, and the curviness of her body amazed him more than anything. Her scent, pure and innocent, mixed with his, dangerous and wild. Unable to help himself, he started to lick at her nipples. He watched her stir and arch as he continued his sensitive movements. He smiled at the knowledge that she was still so responsive even as she slept. As he dressed her in his T-shirt and adjusted her comfortably on the bed, he pondered whether he should continue being with her.Thinking of everything that had happened only made him angry, and he kn
Chapter 12Ken opened the hell-house door, his heart pounding and anger boiling. The only logical explanation he could find was that Allen had betrayed his own group; his own people. The house was cold and empty. Water leaked from the walls where he had fought with Allen. The place looked abandoned from the inside as well as the outside. He sniffed the air and growled.“Hunters,” he snarled. They had definitely been there, and their scent was strong enough for Ken to determine they’d left recently. He sighed as he walked Grams’ room and stared at her closed coffin. He reluctantly opened the coffin, only to discover the remains of her burned body. He gasped, jumping back in a stunned silence. She’d clearly been shocked by several guns, and her heart had been ripped out. With great haste, he ran to Goslin’s room, only to find it in shambles, and the bright wallpaper was torn with claw markings. It was clear that sh
Chapter 15The wind picked up under Teya’s feet and soft whispers of Syfa were guiding her way down the maze trail to freedom, back to her lover. It was saddening that Sia was set on pleasing these people that exiled her mother. Something Teya wouldn’t be able to understand or relate too. These witches weren’t her family. No one there knew anything about her.Once she finally admitted to herself though, she was one of them, it became easier to accept in her heart and it seemed the medallion opened up more to her, showing her incredible things that she could do. The medallion led the way as she ran from the past to the present touching the shrubs to guide her way. The exit was on the other end of the field. Freedom so close she could taste it. Before she could reach her hand out Dean blocked the way with Sia beside him.He tsked while shaking his head. “See Miss Daniels how special you are. How did you find out about the emergency exit d
Chapter 14A soft chant covered Teya’s ears as she woke, not sure how she fell asleep or when. All she remembered was being in the car with Dean and Sia feeling hurt by her betrayal. The car ride must’ve been extensive and the mere ride alone including the anxiety must’ve knocked her out. Her body felt warm though under the chanting and it was surprisingly soothing. There was something on her stomach, warm liquid and maybe something crunchy as she struggled to open her eyes.“The baby will be healthy and ready for us, Enchantress. She has returned.” An older woman said in what seemed like a whisper in Teya’s ear. She struggled to open her eyes, but seemed paralyzed under the chanting.“Tell me Dean since you found her how did this come to happen? A vampire and a witch mating is unheard of amongst us. How is it this child has come to be?” Now a more majestic like being spoke and Teya could feel the power flow from
Chapter 13A roar of impatience shook Ken’s home as he screamed out a primitive growl as he, Kenneth, and Emil waited in the living room for their return. Regret reared it’s ugly head as Ken already had a bad feeling about the whole thing. In his gut he knew something was going to happen at the club because Mekhi wasn’t an idiot.“They will be back soon I’m sure Sia…” Emil spoke but was caught off by Ken grabbing his collar and lifting him off the ground.“It has been two hours now, Emil. Fucking two hours. They have either been captured by Mekhi or possibly dead. Something went wrong. It was the prick Dean. I knew we couldn’t trust him.” Ken knocked over the coffee table in his rage as he released Emil.“Dean is a witch and they for all tense and purposes look out for their own. If Teya is truly one of them she is safe.” Kenneth explained, arms folded wanting to give them the good
Chapter 12Once the plan was made and the date was set they all disbanded to get some sleep. Ken refusing to leave Teya in bed alone now under the dark black comfort holding her close. Of course he wanted to hold her to him, but she already voiced she didn’t want to be left out of anything involving the women. His mind was racing enough as it was believing her to be a witch and this breeder as they called it. When did they’re world become so complex?“Ken?” Her soft voice caused Ken to snap out of his thoughts and pay attention to her. “Our child…she needs to have both parents around. Not like we did. I use to wonder about my mother and father every day when I was little. I use to cry to my grandmother asking why I didn’t have parents like my schoolmates at least one of them. I don’t want that for our child. No matter about this mystical bullshit.” She paused trying to contain her emotions. “No matter what
Chapter 11Teya’s eyes were puffy and swollen and she knew without looking into the mirror she looked horrible. She felt horrible. Her stomach hurt, but she showered and watched her hair like a champ no matter if her legs felt like giving way. It was apparent she was weak and needed to eat something. Eating for two people now she knew she couldn’t afford to miss any meals. As careful as possible she walked down the stairs holding the railing and her stomach on the way. As she got to the last stair the doorbell rang. Her head snapped up in fear, but then realization kicked in. If it was a killer they wouldn’t ring the doorbell, but who could be at the door this early? Her feet slid across the floor trying to get her legs to obey her command, but they wouldn’t. She peeked out the door hole to see Sia and another person to tall for her to see the face. She opened cautiously.“Morning.”Teya’s eyes widen. &ld
Chapter 10 Kenneth’s eyes widen then as well shocked donned on both of their faces. “Your son survived?” Ken took a step forwards as more betrayal and lies filtered his mind. What was really real? Ken had heard her mention being pregnant once before which made sense as to why she clung so tightly to him, but the story went that Allen killed the baby before she could even conceive by turning her. Atleast that’s what was assumed since Allen always said how dead he was. The Allen offspring stepped closer to Ken then, a bit older than him and a bit broader. Ken stared deadly into his eyes feeling a scary sense of excitement that he would get the chance to kill Allen twice. The resemblance was uncanny. Allen’s dark piercing cold gaze must
Chapter 9 Teya, Emil, and Sia took a sigh of relief as they escaped Salina and Rosa’s grasp. Teya sitting down on the couch holding her stomach afraid for the baby in her current state. Her heart beat too fast and her pulse was accelerated. Emil placed a hand on her shoulders to try and comfort her. “This is your home, Teya?” he asked, sitting on the coffee table in front of her making causal conversation to help calm her. She could only nod. Emil and Sia both looked at each other with a glance. Sia sat beside him on the table, placing a hand on her leg. “Teya,” She spoke sweetly. “You need to calm down.” But she couldn’t. Neither one of them
Chapter 8 “I think I speak for everyone when I say the shit is getting all kinds of mystical and fucked.” Markees said as he paced the living room of the Santanna house. “Teya’s medallion glowed this bright light like what the fuck is that about. How did you even do that?”All eyes were on Teya now as she just shrugged and held the medallion in her hand just as confused as Markees. It was becoming a habit that now all they seemed to do was fuss at each other as Ken sat at the table looking in one direction trying to piece the puzzle together in his mind as well. He lost control something he pride himself on having the most of.Kenneth had joined them and they informed him what was going on. “It’s possible, Ken, that you gave in fully to your vampire nature once you thought Teya was in danger or possibly once you assumed in your mind you couldn’t b
Chapter 7Ken walked into his home with confusion and in need of multiple drinks. His heart dropped when he walked into the house with no Teya. After a quick look around the house Ken walked into the kitchen to see Markees sitting at his table.“Relax she is still at work.” Markees said with a huge glass of alcohol. He was going through it for sure. Ken’s face contorted as anger took over.“What?” Markees held his hands up. “I tried to talk some sense into her, but she won’t listen.” Ken believed him.He knew his stubborn woman. He grabbed a glass and poured him some alcohol. “I’m sorry about the men you lost last night. It’s never easy losing people you were meant to look after. Especially after the Club 89 scene. Can’t say I didn’t play my part in that.”Markees scoffed, holding his forehead. “Please don’t remind me about that. Ross you to say
