Anita’s POV

I let out a frustrated sigh, dropping into the chair by my desk. The drawers were still half-open, files and papers scattered around me. Martha perched on the armrest, her brow furrowed in concentration, while Zach stood by the bookshelf, his hands on his hips.

“This is ridiculous,” I muttered, running my hands through my hair. “I’ve looked everywhere, and I still can’t find the contract or the proof of contract. They’ve just… vanished.”

Martha gave me a sympathetic pat on the shoulder. “Are you sure you didn’t misplace them somewhere weird? Maybe shoved them in a book or between folders without thinking?”

“I’m not that careless,” I said, though doubt crept into my voice. “I remember putting them in the drawer after going over them a few days ago. They were right here.”

Zach turned to face me, his arms crossed. “Let’s backtrack. You’ve already got the new residence certificate, right?”

I nodded. “Yes, and it’s valid for three years. I’ll officially join the pack in six mon

Hades’ POVThe car rolled to a stop in front of the pack office. Outside, staff moved snappy, their chatter filling the air. It was a typical day, but there was an undercurrent of tension I couldn’t quite place. I adjusted my cufflinks as my gaze swept across the scene before me. Near the entrance, a few employees had gathered, their voices lowered to murmurs. Their eyes flicked toward my car, stiffening as they recognized me. The Alpha. The driver, sensing my intent to step out, moved to open my door. I raised a hand to stop him. “Don’t,” I said curtly. I wasn’t one for unnecessary formalities. The less fuss, the better. As I exited, the cool afternoon breeze brushed against my face. My boots hit the gravel with a crunch, and I adjusted my jacket, scanning the area. A group of staff near the entrance caught my attention. Their heads were close together, their voices low but clear enough for my heightened hearing to pick up. “She’s really pushing hard to finalize the contract this

Hades’ POVI stared at the photograph in the file for a long moment, my fingers gripping the edges of the paper with a barely controlled intensity. The edges creased slightly under the pressure, but I didn’t care. All my attention was locked on the face staring back at me—Anita’s face. Confident. Poised. Undeniably hers. Even captured in the photograph, she glowed with a life and energy that no mere image should possess. She was stunning, radiant in a way that made my chest tighten with emotions I could no longer suppress.A low growl rumbled in my chest, not of anger but of something unspoken. Satisfaction. Possession. My wolf stirred restlessly, clawing at the edges of my consciousness. His voice was clear, concise, and echoed in every fiber of my being.“Mine.”The word surged through me like a battle cry, reverberating in my mind, my heart, my soul. It was loud, insistent, and utterly persistent. There was no room for doubt, no space for second-guessing. The bond was undeniable. S

Anita’s povI strode into the office building, the noise from the ongoing activities immediately halting as I stepped into view. Conversations died mid-sentence, and the sound of shuffling papers abruptly ceased. The atmosphere shifted, thick with unease. It was something I’d grown used to—being met with uncertainty and hesitation wherever Hades’ influence lingered. My heels clicked against the floor, each step strong as I approached the central desk. The staff exchanged sneaky glances, none daring to meet my gaze directly.“Where is he?” My voice was firm, unwavering, as I addressed the cluster of employees hovering nearby. They stiffened, their reactions immediate and telling. It was clear they knew exactly who I was talking about. The silence stretched uncomfortably long. Finally, one of them, a young man whose name I vaguely recalled as Eric, stepped forward. He adjusted his glasses nervously, his Adam’s apple bobbing as he swallowed hard. “Uh… Alpha Hades is… unavailable at the

Anita’s POVI stormed down the gravel path leading away from the pack offices, my footsteps quick and forceful. The echo of my words from earlier still buzzed in my ears. Stubborn, arrogant, impossible… a jerk. My hands clenched into fists at my sides as I replayed the encounter with Hades. My Mate.“Unbelievable,” I muttered under my breath, my frustration spilling into the open air. “Completely, utterly unbelievable. He thinks he can just decide for me—dismiss my choices like they don’t matter. Like I don’t matter.”My voice rose slightly, carrying on the wind, but there was no one to hear me—not that I cared if anyone did. The anger boiling in my chest was all-consuming, leaving no room for caution. Yet, beneath the heat of my rage, there was something else. A pang of guilt? No. That wasn’t it. Confusion, maybe. I shook my head, pushing the thought away.I continued walking, muttering to myself. “Irresponsible. A jerk. A complete control freak who can’t even—” I stopped mid-sentenc

Anita’s POVThe exhaustion clung to me like a heavy fog, seeping into every corner of my being. I glanced back over my shoulder, where Alpha Hades stood several paces behind me, his expression a mixture of concern and frustration. His eyes, now muted from their earlier intensity, softened when they met mine. It wasn’t enough to thaw the lingering tension between us, but it made me pause.“I’m going back,” I said softly, breaking the silence. “I’m tired. I can’t… deal with this right now.”Alpha Hades stepped closer, closing the distance between us cautiously, as if afraid I might bolt. “Do you want me to come with you?” His voice was low, hesitant. I hesitated, staring down at the ground as I considered his offer. I opened my mouth to reply, but the words never came. A sudden wave of dizziness crashed over me, and the world tilted violently.“Anita?” Alpha Hades’ voice was sharp with alarm. The edges of my vision blurred, darkening into blackness at once. Hades’ POVI noticed the thick folder clutched in Damian's hands as he entered. His expression was grim, his jaw set tight as though bracing himself for the weight of the conversation to come.I straightened in my chair as Damian approached. The hesitation in his step told me this was no ordinary report.“Alpha,” he said, inclining his head respectfully as he approached my desk. His gaze flicked briefly to Anita, lying motionless in the hospital bed. Concern flickered in his eyes before he turned his attention back to me.“What is it, Damian, Any news?” I asked, my tone calm but laced with an edge of urgency.Damian hesitated for a beat, his lips pressing into a thin, grim line before he spoke. “I’ve found something you need to see,” he said with a heavy voice. I extended a hand, the tension in my chest tightening further. Damian placed the folder in my grasp, his movements careful, almost reluctant. “What is it about?” I asked, my voice low but steady, though I already had a sinking

Anita’s POVI could feel the soft warmth that surrounded me. The kind that filled the spaces between my bones, saturating my mind with a strange, comforting heaviness. I blinked, groggy, as if emerging from a deep fog. The world around me was blurry, but I could make out a familiar shape—a hulking silhouette, broad and imposing, standing by my side. His scent wrapped around me like a blanket, a mixture of pine and earth, the calming presence of Alpha Hades. My fingers twitched, and the movement was so small, so faint, I wasn’t sure it had even happened. But then, I felt it again—a slight tremor, my hand brushing against something firm. I tried to lift it, but my arm felt as if it had been weighted down by a thousand invisible chains.“Hades,” I murmured, my voice hoarse, barely a whisper. It felt like a dream, like a faint whisper of a thought hovering just out of reach, lingering on the edges of my mind. “Hades?”The moment the name escaped my lips, I heard a sharp intake of breath,

Anita’s POVThe silence in the room after Damian had left the room felt heavier than the blankets on me. Damian’s words still echoed in my ears. ‘He’s afraid of how he feels for you. He doesn’t even realize he’s already started loving you.’I couldn’t help but steal a glance at Alpha Hades. He stood by the window, his broad shoulders rigid, his fists clenched. He looked like he wanted to say something but didn’t know where to start.I cleared my throat, forcing an air of nonchalance as I smoothed my hair awkwardly. “My mate's contract hasn’t been terminated yet,” I said, trying to keep my tone light. “Even if… even if I liked someone, I can’t talk about it. I don’t want anyone to think I’ve betrayed my mate.”Alpha Hades flinched almost imperceptibly at my words, his jaw tightening. He turned to face me, his green eyes locking with mine for a brief moment before he looked away. “Damian…” he began, his voice rough. “He was being silly. Don’t take what he said to heart.”His words were

Alpha Hades’s POVI couldn't believe what was happening. The man, Zoe, who had been stirring the pot, spewing lies about Anita, was now standing in front of me. His arrogance was thick enough to slice with a knife, but as I took a step toward him, it seemed to dissolve into something else—fear, uncertainty, maybe even guilt. The man was not one of us. I could feel it in my bones even as he had lied earlier. Immediately, I lunged at him, grabbing the collar of his shirt and yanking him up, his legs shaking defensively in the air. Looking him straight in the eye, I asked, "Who are you?" My voice sharp and low. "How come I've never seen you around the pack before? Are you even one of our people?"The man’s eyes darted around the room as if he were looking for an escape route. His gaze briefly met mine, but then quickly dropped to the floor. He stuttered, “I... I’m one of the people here... from the clan.”I didn’t believe a word he was saying. Something didn’t add up. If he had truly be

Hades's POVI could feel the pressure building inside me, my thoughts scattered, and my blood simmering with frustration. The walls of the office seemed to close in on me. At this moment, I feel like my head is about to explode. First, it was that damn woman causing trouble at the banquet, trying to disgrace Anita with her lies. Then, I had to face the elders—each one of them demanding that I divorce my mate. And now, the clansmen were at the door, shouting, furious, and demanding that I cast Anita out of the pack. How is this possible? How did everything turn into a whirlwind of chaos just because of one woman’s slander? My mate, my beloved, the one who was chosen for me by Moon Muse herself, was being torn apart by false accusations. She did nothing wrong. She didn’t kill her father; she didn’t start the fire that took the life of the old Alpha. But here they were—clansmen who didn’t know the truth, elders who were too quick to judge, and a pack that was ready to turn its back on

  • Flash marriage with the Alpha King   Chapter 118

Anita's POVThe moment Alpha Hades' words fell, an urgent knocking echoed against the office door. It was rapid, insistent, and the annoyance it carried was unmistakable. Alpha Hades' expression shifted, a flicker of irritation crossing his features as he waved his hand dismissively, signaling Beta Damian to open the door. Beta hesitated for only a second before pulling the door open. To my surprise, several elders stood in the doorway, their eyes sharp with authority. When they saw me, their brows furrowed immediately, the tension in the air was thick. They exchanged a few brief looks before one of them—an elder with silver hair and a scowl to match—spoke, his voice deep with disdain. "Let’s talk about the conditions," he began, his eyes never leaving me. "What do you want to divorce Alpha and leave our pack?" The words stung, slicing through the silence. The question seemed so out of place, and yet, I knew exactly where it was coming from. The elders were clearly unsettled by the

Anita's POVThe air around me was thick with tension, with whispers, accusations, and the overwhelming weight of eyes that drilled into me like daggers. My throat was tight, and my chest ached as though a great weight was pressing down on me. I barely noticed when Amara stepped forward, her expression cold and calculating, her eyes fixed on me like a predator hunting its prey. I only had a split second to brace myself before the words spilled from her lips. "You were kicked out of the pack, then turned around and deceived Alpha Hades," Amara spat, pointing a finger directly at my nose. "Relying on your means to make him marry you. Do you want to ruin this pack again?"Her voice cut through the already tense air like a knife, sending a shockwave through the guests. The room, already rife with doubt and suspicion, erupted once again. The murmurs, gasps, and shocked exclamations crescendoed into a chorus of disgust. My heart pounded violently in my chest, and my breath came in shallow g

  • Flash marriage with the Alpha King   Chapter 116

Anita’s POV The impact of my stepmother’s words was immediate and catastrophic. Like a bomb dropped into the heart of the banquet hall, the shockwaves reverberated through the guests, shaking the very foundation of what I had fought so hard to build here. The murmurs began like a ripple on the surface of a pond, but within moments, the room was filled with whispers, gasps, and unrestrained exchanges of questions. “What is Alpha Hades talking about? Has our Luna killed anyone?” “Wait, she’s the princess of that pack? Then why is she working as a rogue in ours? Did they kick her out?” The shock was obvious. Eyes turned toward me in disbelief, eyes that once looked at me with a certain degree of respect now clouded with doubt, confusion, and a hint of suspicion. The words my stepmother had thrown at us felt like daggers, and I could feel each one of them sinking deep into my skin. My body went numb, my heart racing as I tried to keep my composure. It was like the world was spinning o

  • Flash marriage with the Alpha King   Chapter 115

Anita's POVThe moment my stepmother, Evelyn, and stepsister, Amara, stepped through the doors of the banquet hall, the atmosphere shifted. It wasn’t just the weight of their presence. It was the way the room seemed to contract, like air being sucked out of a space too small to hold it all. My eyes met theirs across the room, and a wave of cold dread washed over me. Evelyn, with her perfect but destructive smile, and Amara, who had a calculating gleam in her eyes that made my stomach twist in knots. They didn’t have to say a word for me to feel the venom they carried. Their gazes met mine, then swept dismissively over the other guests, as if we were beneath them. I swallowed hard, feeling my throat tighten, a cold shiver creeping down my spine. The murmurs around us began almost immediately, like an undercurrent that started low but quickly grew into something more dangerous.“This is our pack’s banquet. Why would Alpha Hades invite them?”“I heard the elder is pushing for Amara to

  • Flash marriage with the Alpha King   Chapter 114

Anita's POVThe clink of glasses, the hum of conversation, and the low murmur of the crowd faded to a complete hush as Alpha Hades led me onto the stage. His hand, warm and steady in mine, was the only thing comforting me as I stepped into the glaring spotlight. The eyes of the pack were upon us, and though the room was filled with familiar faces, the weight of their gaze made me feel like a stranger in my own skin. I tried to swallow my nerves, but my throat felt dry, and my pulse raced faster with every second that passed.I could hear the shuffle of feet as guests shifted in their seats, their curiosity intense. The eyes of the pack, elders, warriors, and betas, all locked onto us as we took center stage. I glanced up at Alpha Hades, his broad frame standing tall beside me, exuding a confidence I could only dream of having. His expression was stoic, his features set in their usual hardened mask. But his hand, wrapped tightly around mine, told me everything I needed to know: he was

  • Flash marriage with the Alpha King   Chapter 113

Anita's POVThe atmosphere in the makeup room had shifted from electric tension to something lighter. I couldn’t shake the memory of Alpha Hades’s kiss, and every time my gaze flickered toward him, I felt the heat of it all rushing back to me. He had this way of looking at me intensely—that made my heart race every time. But then, as if to ground me, he calmly turned to the makeup artist who had been standing silently by, waiting for him to give the go-ahead."Could you touch up Anita’s makeup?" Hades’s voice was low and controlled, but there was an edge to it, as if he was trying to maintain a sense of normalcy after the intimate moment we’d just shared. The makeup artist, a young woman with short auburn hair and gentle eyes, immediately noticed the smudge of lipstick on my lips. Her gaze flicked between Hades and me, and I could feel the blush creeping up my neck, coloring my face even more. It was ridiculous, but I couldn’t help it. The intensity of the moment was still so fresh, a

Anita's POVAlpha Hades walked toward me, his presence so commanding that the room seemed to shift with his every step. People around him, sensing the intimacy that was about to unfold, tactfully retreated, leaving us alone in the quiet of the dressing room. The air felt different now, charged with something unspoken, an electric tension that hummed beneath my skin. I stood frozen for a moment, unable to move, my breath shallow as I stared up at him. His eyes, dark as the night, met mine with an intensity that made my heart race faster than I could comprehend. There was a calm confidence in his every move, but something in the way he looked at me, something in the predatory gleam in his crimson eyes, made the space between us seem impossibly small. My pulse quickened. I wasn’t sure if I was more afraid or excited, but the emotions mixed together in a cocktail that left me breathless. As he drew closer, his hand brushed lightly against my back. The sudden coldness of his touch made m
