Anita’s Pov

“Anita, what’s going on?” Zach's voice broke through my thoughts. He stood at the foot of the hospital bed, arms crossed, his expression a mix of confusion and concern. He could see the worry on my face, even though I tried to mask it.

I glanced down at my phone, then back up at him. “I need you to take me somewhere.”

His brow furrowed. “Where? You’re not exactly in shape to be going anywhere, especially after what happened.”

“I need to go to the bar where Alpha Hades is.”

Zach’s face shifted from confusion to annoyance in an instant. “What, again? Is he drunk?” He ran a hand through his hair, clearly frustrated. “Anita, you know you’re not his babysitter, right? You work for him, you’re not sold to him.”

I sighed, already anticipating the conversation that was coming. “It’s not like that. He’s… He’s hurting right now.”

Zach snorted. “Hurting? Hades is an Alpha. He doesn’t get hurt. He gets angry. And if he’s angry with you, Anita, you should quit while you’re ahead. You d

Hadas’s PovBefore I could continue with my statement, Damian's face made me pause. He gave me a not-so-subtle nudge as I struggled to stand, my body heavy with the effects of too much whiskey. His eyebrows raised, and with a sly grin, he glanced over at Anita.“Why don’t you help him get home, Anita? He is weak and tired” he suggested, his tone laced with an amusement I didn’t care for. Then, with a wink which Anita didn't see at me, he added, “He could use the support.”I shot Damian a look that could have turned him to stone, but in my current state, I didn’t have the energy to argue. Anita hesitated for a second, her eyes flickering between Damian and me, before finally nodding.“Alright no problem,” she said softly. “Let’s get you home.”Anita stepped closer, her arm wrapping around my waist as she helped me steady myself. The warmth of her touch, the way she carried me tenderly hit me like a jolt and I cursed inwardly. Why did she have this effect on me?“Thanks,” I muttered u

Anita’s PovAs soon as I felt his hand gripping mine, I pulled away, my motion quick and reflexive. My heart pounded, and my breath caught in my throat. What had I been thinking, allowing myself to get so close to him? This wasn’t right. I was his assistant, not someone who could blur those lines, especially not interfering with the mate bond between him and his mate.Alpha Hades’ eyes flickered with something—maybe regret, maybe confusion—before he quickly cleared his throat. His voice was rough but awkwardly polite as he spoke. “Anita… it’s late. There are patrols around the packhouse tonight. You shouldn’t be out, especially after everything that’s happened. It’s not safe.”It's true though. I didn't even think of it this way? Hell no!But why did I behave that way? Oh my God!How do he look at me right now? Like a girl who catches feelings at the slightest trigger? Or?I frowned, feeling my cheeks heat up at the mention of my mate. I knew Alpha Hades wasn’t suggesting anything ina

  • Flash marriage with the Alpha King   Chapter 62

Anita’s PovI drifted down the stairs, still caught up in the remnants of my restless night. Memories of Alpha Hades, the quiet intensity in his voice, the rare moments of vulnerability he’d allowed me to glimpse—they all clung to my thoughts, making it hard to focus on the present. I replayed the way his gaze had softened last night, how he seemed to shield his true self, letting only hints of it slip through the cracks. Despite everything, there was an undeniable pull between us, something electric yet maddeningly difficult to describe.Just as I reached the bottom step, a soft voice came from behind.“Good morning, Luna,” the housekeeper greeted, her voice gentle but carrying that unmistakable weight of respect.I spun around, blinking, my heart skipping a beat. “Oh! No, no,” I stammered, feeling my cheeks flush. “I’m not… I’m not his Luna. Just his assistant.” My voice wavered slightly, sounding far more uncertain than I’d intended. The housekeeper tilted her head, observing me wi

Anita’s PovI felt the housekeeper’s question still lingering in the air, her curious gaze expectant and warm. I hadn’t been prepared for this line of questioning, nor for the intensity with which it seemed to impact Alpha Hades. He kept his expression guarded, but I noticed the slight tension in his jaw as he waited for me to answer.Summoning my composure, I offered her a smile. “Actually, I already have a mate,” I said quietly, hoping my voice didn’t betray the heaviness that came with that admission. The housekeeper’s face fell slightly, her eyes dimming with a flicker of disappointment. “Oh… I see,” she murmured, recovering her polite smile. “Well, forgive my assumption, Miss Anita. I only meant to say that you seem to bring such a warmth and liveliness to this home. I thought… well, perhaps I was mistaken.”“No, no, it’s all right,” I replied quickly, my cheeks heating under the weight of her gaze. “I appreciate your kindness, really.”The room fell into a brief silence, and I c

Damian’s PovI watched them from a distance, joining them in their steps, my eyes following Alpha Hades and Anita as they made their way down the hall. They seemed oddly well-matched, their strides in sync as if they’d walked side-by-side for years. It was hard not to notice the strange connection between them, one I hadn’t seen in Alpha Hades before.I couldn't help but smile sheepishly, “They’re such a good match,” I thought to myself, a pang of regret filling my chest. “Why did she have to be married?”Just then, an employee hurried toward us, holding a stack of documents. I recognized him as one of the new hires—young, eager, and a bit too outspoken. His gaze shifted from me to the Alpha, and then, when he spotted Anita, his face twisted into an expression of anger.Without a second’s pause, he marched over to her, his voice rising with a heated accusation. “You!” he spat, pointing a finger at Anita. “You’re nothing but bad luck, a rogue. Hades’s PovI took the dissolution documents from the employee’s trembling hands, suppressing the surge of anger that roiled within me. My gaze shifted to the employee, my expression hardening as I realized the depth of his insult. The lack of respect he’d shown was inexcusable—not only for questioning my judgment but also for attacking Anita’s character based on rumor and assumption.“Let me make this clear,” I said, my voice low and deadly calm. “No one—no one—has the right to criticize or disrespect anyone under my protection. Whatever you may have heard, it’s irrelevant, and it has no place here.”The employee paled further, his shoulders drooping. “I… I apologize, Alpha. I didn’t mean any disrespect. I just… I thought…”“That’s precisely the problem,” I cut him off, my tone laced with irritation. “You thought. Next time, think twice before spreading or acting on baseless rumors. And,” I continued, my gaze unyielding, “you owe her an apology.”He turned immediately to Anita, his f

Anita’s PovI kept my expression calm and my posture relaxed, even as Amara’s words rang in my ears like nails on a chalkboard. She blocked my path, her arms crossed and her mouth twisted into a smug grin. It was clear she enjoyed every second of the tension she was stirring up. I fought to hold my temper, taking a slow breath, reminding myself that nothing she could say would rattle me. I had been through far worse than petty insults. With a tilt of her head, Amara’s eyes gleamed with a cruel, satisfied glint as she leaned in closer, her voice a low, venomous whisper. “Oh, please,” she sneered. “Look at you, standing there like you belong. You must be delusional if you think you can just waltz back into this pack, pretending to be one of us, when you’re nothing more than an outsider—a parasite clinging to the edges.”I kept my gaze steady, refusing to give her the satisfaction of a reaction, but her words sliced into me all the same.“You’re pathetic,” she continued, her tone drippin

Anita’s PovI watched Alpha Hades’s expression, his gaze unwavering, as if he was trying to convey something that I couldn’t quite grasp. His words—“Have you forgotten what I told you?”—echoed in my mind, but I struggled to make sense of them. My first thought was that he might be displeased with my work, but there was no sign of frustration in his eyes. Instead, there was a certain disappointment, and that only made me more uncertain.“Did I do something wrong in my duties, Alpha?” I asked, hoping for clarification. “If I missed something or didn’t meet your expectations, I’ll make sure it doesn’t happen again.”Alpha Hades sighed, his expression softening, though there was still a firmness in his voice. “No, Anita. It’s not about your work. I simply don’t want you to tolerate disrespect from anyone, especially not someone like Amara. Your place here is as secure as any member of my pack, and I expect you to hold yourself accordingly.”A wave of relief washed over me, though I couldn

Alpha Hades’s POVI couldn't believe what was happening. The man, Zoe, who had been stirring the pot, spewing lies about Anita, was now standing in front of me. His arrogance was thick enough to slice with a knife, but as I took a step toward him, it seemed to dissolve into something else—fear, uncertainty, maybe even guilt. The man was not one of us. I could feel it in my bones even as he had lied earlier. Immediately, I lunged at him, grabbing the collar of his shirt and yanking him up, his legs shaking defensively in the air. Looking him straight in the eye, I asked, "Who are you?" My voice sharp and low. "How come I've never seen you around the pack before? Are you even one of our people?"The man’s eyes darted around the room as if he were looking for an escape route. His gaze briefly met mine, but then quickly dropped to the floor. He stuttered, “I... I’m one of the people here... from the clan.”I didn’t believe a word he was saying. Something didn’t add up. If he had truly be

Hades's POVI could feel the pressure building inside me, my thoughts scattered, and my blood simmering with frustration. The walls of the office seemed to close in on me. At this moment, I feel like my head is about to explode. First, it was that damn woman causing trouble at the banquet, trying to disgrace Anita with her lies. Then, I had to face the elders—each one of them demanding that I divorce my mate. And now, the clansmen were at the door, shouting, furious, and demanding that I cast Anita out of the pack. How is this possible? How did everything turn into a whirlwind of chaos just because of one woman’s slander? My mate, my beloved, the one who was chosen for me by Moon Muse herself, was being torn apart by false accusations. She did nothing wrong. She didn’t kill her father; she didn’t start the fire that took the life of the old Alpha. But here they were—clansmen who didn’t know the truth, elders who were too quick to judge, and a pack that was ready to turn its back on

  • Flash marriage with the Alpha King   Chapter 118

Anita's POVThe moment Alpha Hades' words fell, an urgent knocking echoed against the office door. It was rapid, insistent, and the annoyance it carried was unmistakable. Alpha Hades' expression shifted, a flicker of irritation crossing his features as he waved his hand dismissively, signaling Beta Damian to open the door. Beta hesitated for only a second before pulling the door open. To my surprise, several elders stood in the doorway, their eyes sharp with authority. When they saw me, their brows furrowed immediately, the tension in the air was thick. They exchanged a few brief looks before one of them—an elder with silver hair and a scowl to match—spoke, his voice deep with disdain. "Let’s talk about the conditions," he began, his eyes never leaving me. "What do you want to divorce Alpha and leave our pack?" The words stung, slicing through the silence. The question seemed so out of place, and yet, I knew exactly where it was coming from. The elders were clearly unsettled by the

  • Flash marriage with the Alpha King   Chapter 117

Anita's POVThe air around me was thick with tension, with whispers, accusations, and the overwhelming weight of eyes that drilled into me like daggers. My throat was tight, and my chest ached as though a great weight was pressing down on me. I barely noticed when Amara stepped forward, her expression cold and calculating, her eyes fixed on me like a predator hunting its prey. I only had a split second to brace myself before the words spilled from her lips. "You were kicked out of the pack, then turned around and deceived Alpha Hades," Amara spat, pointing a finger directly at my nose. "Relying on your means to make him marry you. Do you want to ruin this pack again?"Her voice cut through the already tense air like a knife, sending a shockwave through the guests. The room, already rife with doubt and suspicion, erupted once again. The murmurs, gasps, and shocked exclamations crescendoed into a chorus of disgust. My heart pounded violently in my chest, and my breath came in shallow g

  • Flash marriage with the Alpha King   Chapter 116

Anita’s POV The impact of my stepmother’s words was immediate and catastrophic. Like a bomb dropped into the heart of the banquet hall, the shockwaves reverberated through the guests, shaking the very foundation of what I had fought so hard to build here. The murmurs began like a ripple on the surface of a pond, but within moments, the room was filled with whispers, gasps, and unrestrained exchanges of questions. “What is Alpha Hades talking about? Has our Luna killed anyone?” “Wait, she’s the princess of that pack? Then why is she working as a rogue in ours? Did they kick her out?” The shock was obvious. Eyes turned toward me in disbelief, eyes that once looked at me with a certain degree of respect now clouded with doubt, confusion, and a hint of suspicion. The words my stepmother had thrown at us felt like daggers, and I could feel each one of them sinking deep into my skin. My body went numb, my heart racing as I tried to keep my composure. It was like the world was spinning o

  • Flash marriage with the Alpha King   Chapter 115

Anita's POVThe moment my stepmother, Evelyn, and stepsister, Amara, stepped through the doors of the banquet hall, the atmosphere shifted. It wasn’t just the weight of their presence. It was the way the room seemed to contract, like air being sucked out of a space too small to hold it all. My eyes met theirs across the room, and a wave of cold dread washed over me. Evelyn, with her perfect but destructive smile, and Amara, who had a calculating gleam in her eyes that made my stomach twist in knots. They didn’t have to say a word for me to feel the venom they carried. Their gazes met mine, then swept dismissively over the other guests, as if we were beneath them. I swallowed hard, feeling my throat tighten, a cold shiver creeping down my spine. The murmurs around us began almost immediately, like an undercurrent that started low but quickly grew into something more dangerous.“This is our pack’s banquet. Why would Alpha Hades invite them?”“I heard the elder is pushing for Amara to

  • Flash marriage with the Alpha King   Chapter 114

Anita's POVThe clink of glasses, the hum of conversation, and the low murmur of the crowd faded to a complete hush as Alpha Hades led me onto the stage. His hand, warm and steady in mine, was the only thing comforting me as I stepped into the glaring spotlight. The eyes of the pack were upon us, and though the room was filled with familiar faces, the weight of their gaze made me feel like a stranger in my own skin. I tried to swallow my nerves, but my throat felt dry, and my pulse raced faster with every second that passed.I could hear the shuffle of feet as guests shifted in their seats, their curiosity intense. The eyes of the pack, elders, warriors, and betas, all locked onto us as we took center stage. I glanced up at Alpha Hades, his broad frame standing tall beside me, exuding a confidence I could only dream of having. His expression was stoic, his features set in their usual hardened mask. But his hand, wrapped tightly around mine, told me everything I needed to know: he was

Anita's POVThe atmosphere in the makeup room had shifted from electric tension to something lighter. I couldn’t shake the memory of Alpha Hades’s kiss, and every time my gaze flickered toward him, I felt the heat of it all rushing back to me. He had this way of looking at me intensely—that made my heart race every time. But then, as if to ground me, he calmly turned to the makeup artist who had been standing silently by, waiting for him to give the go-ahead."Could you touch up Anita’s makeup?" Hades’s voice was low and controlled, but there was an edge to it, as if he was trying to maintain a sense of normalcy after the intimate moment we’d just shared. The makeup artist, a young woman with short auburn hair and gentle eyes, immediately noticed the smudge of lipstick on my lips. Her gaze flicked between Hades and me, and I could feel the blush creeping up my neck, coloring my face even more. It was ridiculous, but I couldn’t help it. The intensity of the moment was still so fresh, a

Anita's POVAlpha Hades walked toward me, his presence so commanding that the room seemed to shift with his every step. People around him, sensing the intimacy that was about to unfold, tactfully retreated, leaving us alone in the quiet of the dressing room. The air felt different now, charged with something unspoken, an electric tension that hummed beneath my skin. I stood frozen for a moment, unable to move, my breath shallow as I stared up at him. His eyes, dark as the night, met mine with an intensity that made my heart race faster than I could comprehend. There was a calm confidence in his every move, but something in the way he looked at me, something in the predatory gleam in his crimson eyes, made the space between us seem impossibly small. My pulse quickened. I wasn’t sure if I was more afraid or excited, but the emotions mixed together in a cocktail that left me breathless. As he drew closer, his hand brushed lightly against my back. The sudden coldness of his touch made m
