Unknown POV
For a while, the reporters in the conference room remained glued to their respective seats. None of them could believe what just happened. How could the Flameheart chairman use them just to convey a message to a woman? What exactly did he take them for? Most of the reporters were ruffled by his arrogant nature. To make it worse, the whole interview was broadcast live, nationwide, on all the major platforms. They all felt the scorn and mockery in the esteemed chairman's voice. Although some were just workers, most of the reporters here were the owners who had come in person to cover the story. They could not stomach it. As they left the majestic Flameheart Towers, they were disgruntled. They swore to bring him down. However, one man remained quiet amidst all these discussions. He was deep in thought. This man was Dante Graham. He could not help but feel troubled. When the Flameheart chairman looked at him, he felt as if he was a predator eyeing his prey. Although he pulled a brave front and asked his questions, he was, in reality, scared stiff. When the Flameheart conveyed his message, he could not help but shudder. In his heart of hearts, he felt as if there was a very subtle threat in his message. The most daunting thing was that it felt as if the message was directed at him. Dante raked his brains, trying to think back to see if he ever crossed this dreaded mogul's path but nothing came up. Frustrated, he got into his car, completely ignoring the other reporters. He needed some time alone. He needed to think. Flameheart's message was like an encrypted code to him that he needed to decipher. Even though he spoke of a woman, he also stated that he was like a Phoenix rising from the ashes. Who the hell is he? No matter how Dante tried, he still could not shake off the feeling of imminent danger. Before he could drive off, another car blocked his path. He peeked and noticed that it was none other than that shrewd lady, Donna. He cursed under his breath before alighting from the car. "To what do I honor this pleasure, Miss Kays?" "Cut the sarcasm, Dante. We both know that I am your least favorite person. I just have one question for you. Did you, at one point, cross Chairman Flameheart's path? I know how despicable you can be, so spit it. What did you do to the chairman?" Donna was unrelenting in her attack and Dante was rendered speechless. He was awed by her ability to read situations but he felt wronged. As far as he remembers, he never once dealt with the formidable chairman. Then why did the chairman target him? Even he had no answer for that. Sighing heavily, Dante leaned on his car and lit a cigarette. "Miss Donna, even though I have no idea what I did, I am sure the chairman holds some kind of grudge against me. Unless I touched a distant relative of his..." Dante trailed off and Donna scrutinized him. She concluded that he was being truthful and she turned to leave. When she got near her car, she turned and decided to warm Dante. "Consider this as me just being humane. I did some digging on the chairman and what I found was not pretty. The guy is ruthless and he kills without mercy. What he abhors the most are people who exploit women and children. He is the one who single-handedly cleared up the Hans empire. All because he discovered that they were into human trafficking. I suggest you lie low for now. You might have to consider closing down your brothel now that he has decided to set base here in Sunshine City." Dante was flustered. He thought that he covered his traces well but Donna seemed to know everything. Driving off, he decided to go report to his father. Senior Graham was also the chairman of the Elite Alliance, of Sunshine City. Anyone who understood, would know that to succeed in this city, one has to be under their protection. Dante wanted his father to make things difficult for Flameheart to operate his business in their city. The feeling of being oppressed did not sit well with him. Meanwhile in the far land of Sussexville**** Athena was flustered after watching the evening news. As their time zones are different, it was nighttime in Sussexville. She had been spacing out since her daughter brought up the man on the news. Immediately, she switched on her 85" TV to watch the prime news. And she was just in time to hear Dante's questions and the Flameheart chairman's response. She did not know whether to laugh or cry at the turn out of events. She recalled that on that fateful day, she did not scrutinize that boy's features. When those goons came to take him, Dante was also there but she was too tired and sleepy. All she remembers are the boy's eyes and the pain buried deep within them when he made a promise to return for her. She had been defeated but when she learned she had fallen pregnant, she made a choice to keep her babies. The truth is, subconsciously she hoped that the boy would keep his promise. She needed him to be stronger and return for her. Athena had made a vow when she was younger. She had vowed that she would only allow one man to see her nakedness. For her, relationships were sacred. True to her word, she has never allowed another man to touch her since. She busied herself with work and building a name for herself. Even though she tried, she could not supress the happiness swirling in her heart. She understood the message quite well. The scrawny boy adorned in rags has risen to a rich and formidable man, swimming in riches. And he only returned for her. After a lot of deliberation, she decided not to hurry back to Sunshine City. She did not want to appear helpless. After all, he had promised to find her. Why should she make it easy for him? There was still time. Besides, she had decided to return home in the next six months during the festive holidays. That is what she will do. Unless of course, Flameheart found her earlier. Leaning back into her plush couch, Athena laughed gleefully. She knew that her time has come. She will show everyone that they glorified her in their bid to taint her. She gained more than she lost. The kids looked at her baffled but did not say anything. At the majestic Flameheart Towers, Dean paced around his office lost in thought. He could not help but laugh at how shameless people were. Gunther had told him that over a hundred women from all walks of life and of all shapes and sizes, had gathered at the front desk requesting to see him. Sitting in front of his CCTV monitor, he just scoffed. None of them was the woman he wanted to see. He refused to see any of them. He realized that it might take time, but soon he will find the one to whom his heart belonged. After all, she was his fated soulmate and bore his mark.Flame heart As far as I remember, I have always been alone. Although I grew up in an orphanage on the outskirts of Sunshine City, I never felt like I belonged. Let's just say I was always the black sheep of the lot. For some reason, even the patrons and matrons of the orphanage detested me. It was hard to live like that but somehow, I managed. At the age of seventeen, I had to start working odd jobs. I had to do this to save up for the following year. The orphanage would have no place for me once I turned eighteen. Everywhere I went, because of how tattered I was, everyone would hurl expletives at me. Ha! Mine was indeed a sad life. There seemed to be no way out for me. I also had lost hope. Little did I know that fate would present a way out for me in the cruelest way ever. I had to lose so much to obtain freedom. In losing, I still gained much more. That was the birth of the Flameheart Consortium, a globally recognized company. It had branches in almost every part of the worl
Athena (Seven Years Ago) The twins, my younger siblings, Jack and Lilly were laughing so hard they could barely stand. Without having to ask, I knew that they had played a role in my predicament. I felt betrayed and humiliated. Although my body was aching, my heart felt as if it was being pierced by a thousand glass shards. My breath hitched and my chest felt constricted. Of their own volition, my eyes discharged the salty wetness, only utter pain induces. I did not scream, yell or sob. I just sat there quietly watching as the twins mocked me. As if that were not enough, another group of people entered. Just like the twins, they also seemed utterly pleased to see me in such a humiliating state. The worst thing is, I recognized all of them. They were the children of the richest families in Sunshine City. The one who was at the forefront was Dante, the first scion of the Grahams. Followed by Daryl, his younger brother. I am also shocked to see the person I considered a friend be p
Athena After my father disowned me, I was shattered and lost. How would I make it out there without his protection? However, Donna did not leave me to wallow in sadness. She stood by me until I was ready to move on. My mother thought it was the right time to disclose the fact that I was not her child. Adding insult to injury. Her voice was laced with scorn, mockery, and disgust. "I should have never nursed you back to health eighteen years ago, when your weak slut of a mother died. I should have let you join her in the netherworld, you disgusting wench! Just like your mother, you have such disgusting wanton behavior. Ptu!" She spat at me, not bothering to conceal her repulsion. She went on to scream about how my mother trapped my dad with her beauty and snatched him from her. It turns out my mother got pregnant with me, whilst my dad was already in a relationship with Violet. It hurt me so badly to know that my mother, though she got married, was considered to be the other wo
Flameheart My people have been suppressed for too long by the darned witches. Seeing that I have not made a move on them, their queen assumes that either I fear them or I am not aware of their malice. What they do not know is that I am a true predator. I stalk my prey until I am assured of victory. Unlike other predators, I am calculative. I just do not go around pouncing recklessly on my prey. That will only alert it and give it a chance to run. I am like a python. I move slowly, so much so that if one does not look carefully, one will assume that it is stationary. It is this attribute of a python that ensures that it's always well nourished. The way it moves is almost hypnotic. The one watching gets mesmerized and remains glued to the spot. Only when they feel their body being constricted do they realize that they have fallen prey to the most dangerous predator ever. By then, it will be too late to do anything. They watch helplessly as the python devours them whole. All they
Flameheart It has been over a fortnight since I conveyed my message, to the one woman whom my heart beats for, through all major news channels. I feel as if a huge load was lifted off my shoulder. What I never expected was to be pestered relentlessly by some shameless women. They came in large numbers and in all shapes and sizes. Each one, claiming to be the woman from seven years ago. Each time, I refused to meet any of them but they kept pestering. From the little I remember about that girl, she is quite dignified and composed. Although I was drugged, I clearly noticed how much she wished to forget about me and everything that transpired on that fateful day. Apart from that, if she heard my message, I know she understood me. The information that my subordinates gathered about her, has given me a better understanding of her. One outstanding attribute of hers is intelligence. She is a genius. Thus, she managed to make a name for herself even after being left with nothing. The m
Gunther(Supreme Beta)Flameheart is the true epitome of leadership. Nothing can corrupt him. Neither money nor fame has made him change or discard his principles. The moment his wolf awakened, he ascertained dominance over all supernatural and human beings alike. In fact, his dominance amongst humans had long been known before Emberwing, his wolf awakened. He is strong-willed and passionate about everything he does. When I got to know him, I was intrigued by his story. This guy literally rose from the dead. This is why when I look at all these people relentlessly trying to scheme against him, I just scoff at their useless tactics. The human population may not be aware of his identity as the alpha king, but surely his identity as the overlord of the corporate world should speak volumes. This is the challenge with humans. Instead, they like treading on dangerous grounds. Looking at the women who frequently crowd the front gate of the Flameheart towers, I cannot help but fear for the
Gunther The first part of the interview progressed pretty well. Almost every lady that came through, left with something to benefit from. All thanks to my alpha's magnanimity. The only reason Alpha Flameheart is this generous is because of where he came from. His childhood and teenage years were anything but happy. He understands poverty and suffering, more than anyone I know in this world. Therefore, when he emphasized his desire for honesty and the ladies who adhered to it, they attained merits from him. This can be attested by the number of people that he just hired today. As a werewolf, it is easy for me to detect even hidden emotions. At this moment, the emotions emanating from these ladies are all positive. Their positive energy has swamped this whole conference room and it is a good thing. The positive energy is like a breath of fresh air. Hardly do we experience such optimism in human territory. Usually, the air is thick with negative energy so much so that it becomes de
AthenaMy heart has been unsettled since the day I watched the Flameheart Consortium's chairman being interviewed. His message has successfully made me feel connected to him. Not only that, but I have been struggling to sleep peacefully since then. The only thing that seems to calm me is if I watch the clip over and over again. It is as if he has become an antidote for my sanity.Luckily, my little girl recorded that interview on her tablet and I am thankful. Now, I have no idea whether this guy is some sort of magician but the drastic change in my emotions is quite baffling. Whenever I touch this bite mark turned tattoo on the crook of my neck, against all logic, I yearn for his touch. It is not as if I feel a need to be with just any man. No. Only him. Besides, I have noticed over the years, that whenever a man tried to get close to me, I would be repulsed. I have never been able to accept any other men in my life. Neither have I ever felt the need to accommodate other men in my l
Author's POV Years later, Flameheart stood atop a majestic mountain, the winds whipping gently around him as he gazed out over the sprawling lands of the New Royal Crescent Moon Pack. The terrain below was a breathtaking panorama of lush forests, rolling hills, and glistening rivers that danced in the sunlight. It was a land transformed, flourishing under the care and unity of their pack.Beside him stood Athena, her presence as grounding as the earth beneath their feet. Her hair flowed in the breeze, catching the light like spun gold, and her eyes sparkled with a fierce pride that made Flameheart’s heart swell. Their children played nearby, their laughter echoing through the valleys like a sweet melody, a sound that filled him with an overwhelming sense of joy.“Look how far we’ve come,” Athena said, her voice filled with emotion, as she watched their children chase each other, their spirits as wild and free as the wind. “From the ashes of our struggles to this beautiful life we’ve
Flameheart A grand ceremony was held to celebrate my victory over Ambrosia, and the atmosphere crackled with excitement and reverence. The air was thick with anticipation as beings of all kinds gathered under the twilight sky, their diverse forms shimmering in the fading light. Witches in flowing robes, vampires with their elegant demeanor, and shifters radiating raw energy filled the clearing, creating a vibrant tapestry of unity. Lanterns adorned with intricate designs hung from trees, casting a warm glow that illuminated the faces of the gathered crowd.I stood at the center of it all, flanked by Athena and our children, who beamed with pride. The sight of my family brought a swell of emotion to my chest. “Today, we honor not just my triumph, but the resilience of our pack,” I proclaimed, my voice ringing out clear and strong, echoing through the gathering. My gaze swept across the crowd, taking in the hopeful faces and the understanding nods. “Our future shines bright because of
Author's POV With the pack thriving, Flameheart and Athena stood atop a newly built platform, a sturdy structure crafted from timber and stone that overlooked the gathering of their kin. The platform symbolized not only their resilience but also the promise of a brighter future. Below them, the landscape was alive with energy; the air buzzed with excitement as pack members animatedly shared visions for their future, their voices blending into a harmonious chorus of hope.Flameheart surveyed the crowd, a sea of familiar faces, each one reflecting the journey they had undertaken together. He felt a swell of pride in his chest, knowing how far they had come. “Unity is our strength,” he declared, his voice booming with conviction, resonating through the assembly. “Together, we will forge alliances with the other factions, witches, vampires, shifters. Our diversity is our power.” The words hung in the air like a promise, igniting a fire within the hearts of those who heard him.Athena sto
Athena Under the twinkling stars, I stood by the tranquil lake, the moon casting a silvery glow that danced across the water’s surface. The gentle lapping of the waves against the shore created a soothing rhythm, and the cool night air carried the fragrance of blooming night jasmine, filling me with a sense of calm. Here, I felt Seraphim’s spirit, gentle yet powerful, enveloping me in a warm embrace, whispering secrets of strength and wisdom that transcended time.“Athena,” Seraphim’s voice resonated through the night air, ethereal and comforting, “All your children are destined for greatness. Embrace the gifts they will inherit.” The words echoed in my heart, igniting a fire of determination within me. I closed her eyes, allowing the warmth of that connection to wash over me. It was a bond that transcended the physical realm, a reminder that I was never alone. The legacy of my ancestors flowed through my veins, a lineage of strength and resilience. As I turned, I found Flameheart a
Flameheart With the sun setting in a blaze of colors, the pack gathers for a moment of reflection. I lead them in a howl that echoes through the valleys, a sound that speaks of our struggles, our victories, and our unyielding hope for the future. As the howls intertwine, I feel a surge of determination. We will thrive, we will remember, and we will rebuild our legacy together. I know that as long as we stand united, no darkness can extinguish the flame of our spirit. As the last echoes of our howls fade into the twilight, the pack settles into a serene silence, the kind that often follows a shared moment of unity. I also feel the weight of our collective experiences hanging in the air, a reminder of both the past and the promise of the future. I turn to Athena, who is standing beside me, her face illuminated by the soft glow of the setting sun.“Do you think they’ll remember this day?” I ask, my voice barely above a whisper. Athena nods, her eyes glistening with unshed tears. “They
FlameheartAs dawn breaks over the remnants of the New Royal Crescent Moon Pack territory, golden rays illuminate the scars of battle, now slowly healing. The landscape, once a chaotic tableau of destruction, is beginning to show signs of renewal. Flames that ravaged the forest have given way to budding green shoots, and vibrant wildflowers, like nature's confetti, celebrating the resilience of life. I stand amidst the pack, encouraging them as we work together to mend our home. My heart swells with pride as I witness the determination in their faces, each member embodying the spirit of renewal.“Every brick we lay, every tree we plant, is a step towards our future,” I declare, my voice unwavering, resonating with the strength of my conviction. I can see the weariness in their eyes, but it is overshadowed by the glimmer of hope. Athena joins me, her presence a comforting balm against the morning chill. Her hair catches the sunlight, shimmering like spun gold, and her smile radiates
Flameheart With the crumbling of the desolate realm, I ignore my fatigue and injuries as I cradle Athena in my arms, feeling the weight of her exhaustion against me. Her body is limp and the glow of her powers is still flickering like a dying ember after the fierce confrontation with Ambrosia. With each step I take towards the portal, I feel a mixture of relief and anxiety tightening around my heart. Luckily, the desolate realm, wit its twisted shadows and haunting silence fades behind us but the dread of what might have been looms large in my mind. My heart skips a beat as I glance down at her pale face. What if she hadn’t awakened in time? What if I had lost her to that malevolent witch? The thought slices through me, cold and merciless. I can never bear the idea of a world without her, of standing alone against the darkness that threatened to engulf us both. “Athena,” I murmur, brushing a strand of hair away from her forehead. “Please, hold on. We’re almost there.” As I appro
Author's POV The air was thick with anticipation as Flameheart stood tall beneath the silvery light of the moon, flanked by his elite warriors. Shadows cloaked them, their armor glinting like starlit skies against the darkened landscape. Each warrior was a master of their craft, trained to fight in perfect harmony, ready to unleash the fury they had held back for far too long.“Prepare yourselves!” Flameheart's voice sliced through the stillness, firm and resolute. “We strike at dawn!” With a synchronized nod, the warriors tightened their grips on their weapons, the tension palpable. The plan was set; they would launch a surprise attack on Ambrosia and Damon’s hideouts, striking at the heart of their malevolence before the first light of day could reveal their presence. As the attack commenced, chaos erupted in a symphony of clashing steel and anguished cries. Flameheart watched as his warriors moved like shadows, swift and deadly, cutting through the minions that had stood guard. T
Flameheart The moon is hanging high in the night sky, bathing the New Royal Crescent Moon Pack’s sanctuary in a silvery glow. Whilst I'm lying restless in my bed, my thoughts are tangled in a web of worry and determination. The recent reports of Ambrosia and Damon’s relentless rampage are weighing heavily on my heart, and sleep has eluded me, leaving me tossing and turning in the soft sheets. In the depths of my weary mind, I feel the call of a vision, a whisper from the Moon Goddess, that is beckoning me towards understanding. Suddenly, I am was enveloped in darkness, standing in a realm where the screams of the innocent echoes around me. The sight is horrifying. I clearly see Ambrosia and Damon, their forms twisted with malevolence as they unleash their fury upon humans and werewolves alike.“Flameheart!” The Moon Goddess’s voice breaks through the chaos, her presence both calming and commanding. “You must not engage with them openly, or innocent lives will be lost.”Frustration s
