NATE

I whispered my plan in her ear and she beamed with smiles. "Terrific!" She jumped and we high-fived.

She looked up at me, her face a little flushed, and said, "When do we start?"

I thought for a moment and then came up with an answer. "Maybe in an hour or so. We just had lunch, so I suggest everyone should rest for a while. I need to call Dad, by the way, so after an hour, pretend like you are bored and we will gather together."

Her smiles lit her face up, and she looked more beautiful than ever. "You are amazing, Nate. I am so sorry for treating you the way I did this morning." Her eyes had guilt in them, and I held her hands, trying to reassure her.

I shrugged. "It's nothing. Besides, I was an asshole and deserved whatever you claim you did to me because I don't actually know what." I looked confused for a moment, and then she smiled. "Stop teasing now, please."
