PRECIOUS

I was sitting in between Richmond and Nate in the sitting room, while the rest sat opposite us. The tension in the room was high and I linked my arms with the two of them.

I laid my head on the chair and shut my eyes, trying to shut the pain away. I was still in pain over the loss of Rare but there was nothing I or anybody could do about it.

Everyone had told me not to think about her again but you know people, they will never understand another person's pain unless they are in the same shoes.

Even godmother Ruth had come to stay with us in the past three days, and I appreciated her comfort because since the loss of Rare, I had been craving for my late mom and she somehow filled that vacuum.
