PRECIOUS

My head suddenly became fuzzy and I felt my legs go weak under my weight. Emily's father's murder brought the incident of that day to my memory and my body racked with sobs.

I felt my throat run dry and an intense feeling to throw up right there and then. It didn't help that I had to stay in the same place as those who had made my life a living hell and breathing the same air like they do made my tummy knot in disgust.

With my head buried into Damon's chest, I heard him call his brothers and father. I heard gasps from them before I heard footsteps in our way.

"What happened here? When did you arrive and did you catch that criminal?" Alpha Rodriguez's voice rang out loudly as he reached where we were. Lifting up my head, my eyes met with his briefly and I saw the concern reflecting in his eyes. His fatherly love brought the fresh tears back to eyes and I did nothing but allow them to fall down my face.
