Third Person's POV
Dean feels Tamara breaking the bond with the Pack, which upsets him more than he will admit. Dean can feel that his wolf is upset as he withdraws from him. There is a knock on his door.
"Come in," Dean says. Martin, his best friend, comes walking in.
"Alpha Dean, I don't know what happened, and I do not understand why my sister did not get her wolf. I will get behind it and tell you what the hell is going on as soon as I know," Martin says. He can see his friend is upset.
" It is not your fault that Maureen did not get her wolf. You do not have to feel guilty about your sister not having a wolf. I just wished I knew about her not having a wolf before I turned down my true mate. Tamara is stronger than we think, and I think she knew long ago that she had an alpha wolf. You know that Alphas turn at sixteen for the first time. Tamara must have known, since she was sixteen, that she was an alpha wolf. And she had to protect herself from me. That is why she never told anybody that she got her wolf. Tamara must have thought I would have killed her if I discovered she was an Alpha. I don't know what I would have done. I regret chasing you away. Tamara is my fated Luna. An Alpha she-wolf! It is unheard of. It is very scarce for Luna to have a black wolf like her Alpha. What have I done? Why did I think that Maureen was more powerful than Tamara? Even though we tortured Tamara, she never said a word. We were awful to her. And what she said was true. Her parents did give their lives for this Pack. I feel like a fucking idiot. I should have just looked at her parents and realized she was much stronger than Maureen. No offense, but your father is not as strong as your uncle was. Your uncle was even stronger than my father, although my father was the Alpha. Your uncle was the one that trained me because my father could not train me as he was not strong enough to train me," Dean says.
"Alpha Dean, what will we tell your father and mother when they wake up? You know they were not there last night because they thought you would accept Maureen as your mate. Let's ask my parents why Maureen does not have a wolf. I believe there is more behind all of this, and my parents are not telling us everything. I know my mother was always jealous of my aunt," Martin says.
"Let us just leave this one now. Maybe Maureen is a late bloomer and can also have a strong wolf. Who knows? She is their cousin of Tamara. I know your wolf is also strong. You are her brother, after all. I will have to go and talk to Maureen. I cannot accept her as my mate if she does not have a wolf. What was supposed to be the best night of my life turned out to be the worst. The woman I thought I love is not my mate. She does not even have a wolf. I am pissed off. I need to figure this out, and I need to find Tamara. I know she's my mate. I cannot get past that fact. Once I accept Tamara as my mate and the Luna of the Pack, I must stay faithful to her. My wolf will not allow me to have a mistress, so I must break it off with Maureen. My wolf is so upset with me that he is withdrawing from me, and I wouldn't say I like the feeling. He wants to meet, and I will have to go and find her. I do not want to lose my wolf. Now leave me alone. I need to talk to Zeron," Dean says. Martin leaves the office and does not feel good about everything that happened last night. He needs to go and talk to his parents. He needs to found find out what the truth is. He knows that Alpha Dean has not slept at all last night.
"Zeron, you can not leave me. I know I've made a mistake. But you were all on board and did not want a pathetic mate. You cannot leave me now. We will find her. Even if it is the last thing we do," Dean says to his wolf.
"I'm not upset with you. Dean. I am upset that we could not figure out that she had a strong wolf. I am upset that she was hiding her wolf from us for so long, and we did not even realize it. Is she that strong? Did she have out hiding her wolf? I wouldn't say I like that we did not even know she was an Alpha. How stupid could we be? We need to find her, you are right. We need our strong mate by our side. I do not like the fact that she said that we are going to regret this. What is she planning? Will she reject us when we find her? I think she will. I don't think she wants us anymore. We hurt her, and we hurt her wolf. We should have made sure before we even thought about having a Luna. Maureen and her beauty blinded us. We never saw the natural beauty among us. Why was she always wearing that bloody hoodie? I do not understand Tamara. Maybe if we had taken the time to understand and get to know her, we would not have been in this situation. Her parents were strong wolves. We should have known that she would be strong as well. I feel your mother and father were more than we thought they were. But it is still like feeling sorry for ourselves now. We have to go and find our mate. She cannot be that far away. And if we start looking today, maybe we can find her before the week is over. I am not afraid that any rogue or anything will be able to do anything to her, as she is an Alpha and powerful. My only problem is that we never taught her how to fight, although her father taught us how. I feel that we let our mate down, and I wouldn't say I like that feeling. I cannot blame her if she hates us and does not want anything to do with us," Zeron says.
While Dean is talking to his wolf Tamara and misfits pack is cleaning the house they moved into. The old place is dirty and falling apart. Tamara looks at the so-called Pack. Oh boy, does she have her work cut out for her? How the hell is she going to train this clumsy lot? She smiles as she feels sorry for them. Start laughing and playing around as they are cleaning the house.
"Wait. I can try my magic to clean the house," Miriam says.
"No, I think we can do without your magic. You know everything goes wrong when you try to do your magic," Mikey laughs.
"I will never be able to practice my magic because none of you believe in my magic," Mariam complains.
"You know, she's right, and we all must start practicing anyway. Go ahead, use your Magic Miriam," Tamara says.
" Water come, water go, clean the house as you know," Mariam says. The next moment, everybody has to grab onto something, or they will be flooded out of the house. Tamara is hanging on to a door. It looks like a river coming through the house. The house is old, and it seems like it would come down on them. As fast as the river appeared, it disappeared again. But everything is a mess.
"Oops," Miriam says, looking around at the chaos she just created.
"Well, Alpha, we tried to warn you. Miriam is not good at doing magic," Mikey says. He pushes back his glasses and tries to rinse out his wet clothes.
"Wow, that was like a tsunami. Actually, Miriam, your magic is powerful—no need to say oops, if you have just created a river. Do you know how much this will help us if we have to fight the enemy?" A very wet Tamara says.
"I never thought of it that way. I always felt that I just made mistakes and that everybody would blame me when everything went wrong," Miriam says.
"Remember that spell when our enemies are attacking us. Just don't use it in the house again. I don't think this house will be able to take another tsunami," Sharon says. She looks at her twin brother and laughs. It was fun.
"H... H... Holy shit!" Stephen says.
"Steven, you can talk!" Aron shouts.
"O...O...Of course, I... I... I... ca ..can t..t..talk," Steven says.
"He has a stutter, so he does not want to talk. The more you practice, the better you will speak, and we will help you. I am sure your wolf will also help you," Tamara says. Stephen nods as he does not want to talk again. He fears someone will make fun of him because of his stuttering. I have been bullied enough in school, so he does not want to talk and let everybody know he has a stutter.
"Well, I am sure we will get past all our insecurities. I guess we will have to clean up this mess again. Unless you know a spell that can clean up the house," Tamara says.
"No, no, it's fine. We will clean up the house ourselves," Mikey says. Mikey does not want any more of Mariam's magic around him. One never knows when she will kill you with a spell.
"Ha ha ha. You are all afraid of my spells. Broom of doom cleaned this house, and I don't want to see a mouse," Miriam says. The next moment, a broom attacks everybody in the room, and the wolves must duck and dive to avoid all the broom hits.
"Okay, damn, enough! No more spells. We had enough magic for one day," Tamara says as soon as the broom falls to the ground. She's rubbing her head where the broom has hit her twice.
"I think you only know attack spells. Every time you say a spell, whatever is happening is attacking us," Mikey says.
" I swear I'm going to be blue and black tonight. You're much more dangerous than you look, Miriam," Kevin says. He looks at his friend Tom and laughs because Tom has a big bump on his forehead. They are busy cleaning the house when they hear somebody calling for them from outside. It is an old friend of Tina's.
"Elise, what are you doing here?" Tina asks.
"I came to warn you the alpha is looking for Tamara," Elise says.
"If he knows you are here, he will kill you. You cannot go back. Do you have nothing to go back to anyway? Elise, you might as well say here with us," Tina says.
"Okay, she can stay here, but I think we will have to go. We cannot stay so close to the pack. If the Alpha is looking for Tamara, it means he wants to kill her or he wants her as a mate. And then we will not have an Alpha. You cannot leave us, Tamara. Please promise, as she will not leave us," Mikey begs Tamara.
"How can you be so selfish, boy? If Tamara loves Dean, she must go to him," Tina says.
"He can look all he wants to, but I am not going back to him, even if he wants me as his mate, and I don't think he wants, I will not go back to him. He has humiliated me enough, and I wouldn't say I like the thought of him coming close to me. He may be your Alpha, but he's not mine. Forget about them. Forget about the Red River Pack. The best place to hide is right under their noses. No one ever comes this far, and I do not think he will even think about looking here. He will believe that I have gone to the city because everybody that does not have a back goes to the city," Tamara says.
Dean, indeed, does not know where to start looking for Tamara. All the pathetic wolves I chased away last night have disappeared, and nobody can find a trace of them. He knows he will find the Tamara if only he can find them. He has a feeling that she will not leave the poor pathetic wolves all alone by themselves.
Dean's POVI am furious at myself for making myself think that Maureen is my mate and that I must vent my frustrations on somebody or something. I have not talked to Maureen or her parents or even spoken to my parents. I want to be left alone. I called my warriors together because a pack has been giving us a lot of trouble lately. I think it is time that we take them out. Those of them that want to join us and join us. And those that don't want to join us can go to hell. I call Martin into my office and tell him to get out of our warriors ready. We are going to war. The Silver Moon Pack is frustrating me, and the Alpha is cocky. Today, I want to fight. I want to get my mind off Tamara. We have been looking for the last week. I could not find one sign of her. I could not find any indication of the other wolves that left with her. I don't eat with the other wolves. I eat in my office. I try to ignore everyone. I wonder if Tamara even has food. Where is she sleeping at night? Is she safe
Tamara's POV"There is a fight at the Silver Moon Pack, and Alpha Dean and his warriors are there. He killed their Alpha and let the weaker wolves go and those who did not want to join him and his Pack. What shall we do about the wolves, Alpha?" Mikey, who is now officially my beta, asks me."The house is big enough for everybody, and we might as well go and fetch the poor things before they end up in the hands of the vampires. Stay in the trees again. We cannot leave our scent on the ground. As long as we do not touch the ground, I do not think the wolves will find us because they only look for us on the forest floor. I don't think they will ever think about us moving around in the trees. How many bows and arrows do we have? I hope we have enough. At least we have the silver your uncle was hiding in his house. Now let's go and see if we can save the poor wolves that had been chased away," I say. We do not wait because we know how dangerous these wood can be. If they go and look for s
Dean's POVEvery day that goes by and I do not find my mate makes me angrier. My parents tried to talk to me, but I didn't want to talk to them now. I do not wish to speak to them about Maureen or her family. The only one in her family I'm still talking to is Martin. I am sitting in my office when my father knocks at the door. The door is open, so I show him to come in. I know I cannot avoid everybody. I will have to talk about what happened that night when Maureen was supposed to become a mate. My father looks at me as he walks into the office."You have become very quiet. Your mother and I hardly see you. Maureen cries daily because you don't want to talk to her. We all know what happened and that Tamara is your mate. Maureen thinks you blame her for not having a wolf. You know, you cannot ignore her for the rest of her life here. We'll have to go and talk to her. Her mother and father are also driving me crazy. They want to know when you will become mates, and they do not understan
Dean's POVI am waiting for Morris and Doreen Brown to come to my office the following morning. We have a lot to discuss. I hope they did not run away from the Pack during the night. If they did, I would know that they are guilty of something. I will go after them, and I will find out the truth. They better be here this morning, or else they will regret it. It is almost ten o'clock when they arrive. Morris and Doreen look as if they are coming to fight with me. I am not in the mood for them and do not want to talk to them. But I know I have to, and I have to find out the truth. They will not lie to me. I will know when they lie to me."Good morning, Alpha. We are here as you requested. We do not understand why you want to see us, but we cannot let you chase our daughter out of the Pack. Maureen was crying last night and told us you broke your relationship with her, and we do not understand why because she will get her wolf eventually. You know that everyone doesn't get their rules at
Tamara's POVI have gained a lot of new members to my Pack. As Dean is attacking the other Packs, more and more are coming to join us. We are making new friends every day. We have made friends with the gypsies that are living around us. And we are supplying the food while they supply us with clothing. I love the gypsies as they can provide us with clothing that will not tear when we shift. They used their magic to help us do that. The gypsies are very friendly and have become great friends with us. We do not think they are not cunning, and many people do not trust them. We trust them because we believe that they are some of the best allies you can have. Our gypsy friends have only been good to us. They are also children of the Moon Goddess. The gypsies are also helping Mariam with her magical wolf. We are all glad that her magic is not as chaotic as it used to be. We were afraid that Miriam would hurt us whenever she did magic. Now we are not that afraid anymore. She still gets her ma
Dean's POVI got up with the Rogues. It is not a long fight, and we kill them fast. I feel happy that I have killed the Rogues that killed Tamara's parents. She is gone when I return to where Tamara, her uncle, aunt, and cousin are waiting. I was sure that Tamara would wait for me. Why did she leave after I ran after the Rogues that killed her father and mother? I have so many questions I want to ask her. I thought that she would like to be my mate. But like, I feared, she did not want to, and she ran off again. It makes me angry that I cannot pick up her scent."Where did she go?" I ask Morris. "She went ..." He starts, but before he can answer me, a silver arrow hits him between the eyes. The other two are too afraid to talk. Doreen starts to cry as her mate falls dead at her feet, and Maureen stares at her father's body. I know the arrow came from Tamara, which was a warning shot to the other two that they should not talk, and it seems like the arrow has come from the treetops. I
Tamara's POV I know that Dean now knows that we are moving around in the treetops, and it does not help us to do that anymore. However, it is handy when you do not want other creatures to find you or your Pack. He will soon pick up on my scent and will follow me to my Pack. I must find another way to protect my Pack from Dean and his wolves. I do not know if Dean wants me back because I am strong. Or if he thinks that he loves me as a mate. I never thought that I would be the mate of Dean Smith. I know my Pack, and I will have to run from him. I cannot let him get a hold of my wolves because I do not know what he will do to him. I wonder if he realized already that Maureen is not a werewolf. She is only a human. "Perhaps we should move the Pack and into another area. I do not believe that Alpha Dean will want us. He only wants you. Maybe you will kill us to be with you. He knows you will never leave us to be with him and the Red River pack. I know it sounds harsh, but that is how Alp
Tamara's POV I have been searching the woods to see if I can find the stronghold of the vampires. I cannot let them rule our area and not know where they are or what they want. I am taking a considerable risk by wanting to talk to the originals. I have been running with my wolf at night, but it is as if the vampires are trying to stay out of my way. I do not know why. I have to find them and find out who or what they want. I am running through the woods tonight to see if I can find a vampire. They have been elusive lately, and I do not know why they do not want us to see them. I see a big black wolf running close to me as I run. I know who it is. I have seen his wolf before. I am angry that Dean Smith thinks that he can follow me. "What do you want from me?" I growl. "What are you doing out here alone at night, Tamara? Do you know how dangerous it is?" Dean growls back. "What I am doing out here is none of your business, and I do not want you to follow me. What are you doing out
