Letitia hemmed and hawed, not sure if she took what he said to heart, but said, "I'll be going now if there's nothing else."

 "Yeah."

 Before he left, Samuel slapped his head and suddenly remembered something, "Oh yes, give me the umbrella, I'll go and return it."

 "Wait." Letitia knew that there was no umbrella shop around the school, and the umbrella was not a new one either, so he must have borrowed it from someone.

 Letitia sat there for a while, waiting for Samuel to get his umbrella, but as she sat there she felt that the first floor was a bit empty, with no living thing but him.

 She didn't seem to have met Samuel's parents today.

 She hadn't seen them at the school call, and she hadn't even seen them when she entered his house.

 Letitia felt a bit strange, but didn't ask any questions. She waited for Samuel to bring her umbrella and left.

The shape of her fingers could be seen in the white areas of the umbrella.
