CHAPTER 105

She tried to make herself comfortable on the couch while occasionally taking small gulps from the bottle. We all want the good thing to last forever but it never does.

“What about them? Twenty years are enough to live with a person and get to know them”

“Yet people die without even knowing themselves even though they had spent lives inside themselves.” This time she did not look up at me but just said “fair enough”

“But promise me I want the truth”

“I do not make promises anymore. Look where promises have landed me. You just have to listen and decide whether to believe or not”
