Chapter 91
Amber
I had made three trips to the safe zone over the last 2 days. Each one worse than the last. And it was just about killing me seeing Roman in such a state, knowing that it was my own father that had caused the damage.
I had tried not to think too much on my dad’s injuries, my mum would patch him up fine and I knew Roman wouldn't go too far, wouldn't hurt him beyond repair. Besides, I couldn't help the anger that overwhelmed me anytime I thought about my parents.
I still couldn't believe they had done this, that my own father had put me in this position.
I had just settled in bed on the second night when Roman forced a link, I hadn't felt an attack and he didn't seem to be in pain, so my mind was clear and relaxed when I responded.
"Hey." I greeted. "You okay?"
"Yeah, just missing civilisation. Its fucking freezing out here and I hate eating as a wolf but it's too cold to shift."
