A scream died in my throat as my eyes wrenched open.
The room was dark, the slightest slither of light from the moon streaked through a gap in the closed curtains, but with our advanced sight and natural night vision Tristan's worried face was as clear as it would have been at midday.
I felt his hands shaking my shoulders before his words registered in my sleep shrouded brain.
"Cali. Wake up baby. You're safe." His tone was soothing but loud in the otherwise quiet room.
I groaned as I shifted on the bed, my throat was sore, and embarrassment coloured my cheeks as I realised, I must have been screaming in my sleep.
