The interrupted kiss.

It was already morning and they were all set for the day’s activity. It was hide and seek game. Everyone was ready for the game apart from Enola. She seemed little bit weak and exhausted.
“Guys, I can’t come along, I feel really weak like I will fall sick. Let me just stay back and rest”, she Enola notified them.
“Hmm, sounds so suspicious”, Michelle whispered to the hearing of Ekaris.
“I don’t even wanna think about that, he whispered back and continued aloud… let’s just leave her behind and go ahead with the game”.
They all left her behind like she insisted, Bruno was the last person to leave the area because he wanted to make sure that she was in good situation before joining others. Now, they would have to play the game in singles instead of pairing in twos.
“You guys already know the rules of the game, we will spin a bottle, whoever gets spotted by the angle of spin will be the one to seek whereas, the rest hides”, Bruno instructed.
“Please, let’s not go too far to avoid one missing”, Ella advised.
With that, they started the spinning. Firstly, it got to Clinton. He was the one to seek where others hide.
“Clinton, you are up”, Michelle said with a playful laughter.
“On counting to 10, everyone must have dispersed and after then, I will start seeking”, he said as he closed his eyes to signal the dispersal.
Everyone ran and hid where they were able to find hidden space and just then, Clinton started seeking. The job wasn’t an easy one though. You will undergo the stress of walking through the whole place in search of the scape goat. That was exactly what he did…..to some extent he became tire of searching not until he heard some faint noise. He managed to trace the direction of the noise and unfortunately, what he saw blasted his memory. He peeped inside the tent and saw Bruno and Enola making out. Well, it looked like they just started. That was when Clinton realized the reason why Bruno made a certain statement when they were about started the game. He said that when a seeker gets any of the hider, he makes a loud shout to signal the others to start coming out. Anyone that didn’t show up sooner should be disqualified from participating. If he doesn’t come back after the second search, the whole players would look for him. These statements of Bruno made sense to him when he saw the reason for the statement. Actually, Bruno had a plan, not only Bruno, both of them must have cooked that up during one of their lovely night discussions. They were naked, already in the midst of ecstasy. Clinton didn’t bother to perturb them, he left the same way he came and definitely found someone else.
He made the mighty and loud shout with the highest pitch his voice could produce. Everyone came out as expected apart from Bruno.
“Where is Bruno”, Ekaris asked.
“He is probably uninterested again, let’s forget him and continue with the game”, the reasonable Clinton covered him up by lying.
“What do you expect, when the precious lover is not participating”, Ella chipped in..
“We definitely have the same thing in mind,….maybe they have gone to continue from where they stopped”, Ekaris added and Clinton looked him guilty eyes; of which Ekaris wasn’t able to notice. Not anyone did and he just maintained like he didn’t do anything or whatsoever.
That was it, they started the second round of the game. Actually, Clinton caught Michelle during the first round…..so, she was the one to do the seeking for second round while others do the hiding. Coincidentally, Ekaris and Ella found themselves in the same hiding place. The place was too right that they had to rub each other in order to attain certain level of comfort. Funny enough before then, the both of them had something we needed to know.
Ekaris and Ella had something of which others weren’t aware of. Let’s crack it down a bit. Before Enola came into the picture, Ella and Ekaris were having stuffs together but it was a topmost secret between the both of them. It all happened one day when Ella visited him in his house, he was all alone and the parents weren’t around too. They had a long discussion about how they feel about themselves. Considering the fact that she was pretty as well, but not to compare with that of Enola. They had an unprepared romance, an affectionate kiss and a baseless touch. The condition of being alone gave them the motivation to take their affection to the next level. So, they had an unprepared affair. One they say about sex and affection was that it reoccurs whenever the two master minds behind it decides to make it happen. After their affair, which on the other hand was well satisfying and cool. Maybe they had wanted it to happen again. They decided to hide it from every other person and also avoided things that would bring suspicion. Actually, they do had affairs from time to time to the knowledge of no one. Trust Ekaris, a snake in the eagle’s shadow. This was how confused it was, Michelle and Bruno had affairs even before Enola surfaced, likewise, Ella and Ekaris had too even after Enola’s relocation. But another confusion emerged; Enola was having a hidden thoughts for Ekaris which was unknown to anyone even Ekaris himself, Bruno still wants an affair with Michelle but didn’t know how to place priorities, as Ella and Ekaris already had stuffs……Ella still admired and crushed on Bruno maybe as a result of his appearance and wealth. He seemed to be the richest amongst them. Then finally, Ekaris was jealous over Bruno and Enola’s relationship but still had thoughts for Enola. Just imagine how group of friends were just circulating unnecessary affairs and thoughts that was uncalled for.
“Don’t you think that this is an opportunity for me to kiss?” Ekaris proposed.
“Shiiii, she will catch us please”, she said using one finger to cross her mouth vertically to demonstrate what she meant.
At the moment, approaching footsteps of the seeker made them to almost freeze like people that were being controlled by remote. Michelle knew she had some screeching noise, like Someone or something ran into the woods or probably, something was trying to hide on noticing her presence. She restrained her fast moving steps, she went slower trying to figure where exactly the noise was coming from. She walked round the whole observable areas surrounding the event spot trying to see what she could but was very unfortunate to see anything. As everywhere had already calmed down, they waited a little to make sure that calmness was prompt, to avoid being caught by any seeker or worst still, by any of the hiders. Everywhere seemed calm then, their eyes gazed on each other probably thinking what no one knew. They came close enough slowly bringing their both lips together. It was already going to be a very sexy and succulent kiss as their minds would be telling them. They almost had the kiss before a voice interrupted.
“I got you guys”, and it was behold the seeker.

The smart Ekaris who always knew how best to get what he wanted has done it again. After he had successful inculcated the news to Enola, he really fought very hard to fix himself somewhere. To the extent it had gone, the both of them were already speaking on the phone regularly. It was one phone call on a faithful day that changed courses. On the other side, Bruno was already giving her less attention and more to Michelle. She didn't bother to query him or did anything wrong. She also had someone to give her time and attention to. Though, Bruno noticed that things weren't flowing like before, but he didn't bother just like I said earlier, he was really occupied with someone else. So, aware of what has gone down, it became a necessity to keep matters secret at all cost. But why is it that when someone tries even harder to conceal something, that’s when it forces itself out from no where. Enola knew about Bruno’s affair with Michelle but Bruno wasn’t aware of hers with Ekaris. Clinton was the only one that knew. You might wonder why he was just out of all the mess, but like I have said earlier in some part of this book, he wasn’t that kind of person that appreciated love and affection. He was just there and those stuffs didn’t trouble him. Maybe, that might also be the reason why none in the circle went for him because he wasn’t romantically favored. He was comfortable with the fact that no one approached him for any attachments or feelings, he was comfortable not having a serious relationship like Bruno, he was comfortable being out of the picture entirely. Bruno couldn’t live with the pain and disheartening effect of what Clinton had earlier told him. He was confused on the actual thing to do whether to confront Enola first or Ekaris. He was very uncertain how to go about that and as he was contemplating on that, the time for them to meet came. Sorry I didn’t mention this earlier, the Paragons had a meeting day. A day when everyone ought to be free. It was usually Friday evenings that most times, escalate to late in the night. So, that evening’s meeting, there supposed to gather at there normal joint unless they made a joint decision to gather at any of their houses.
