The word rang in her ears, but Tessa could not register it.

Even Leena was surprised, though she had somewhat expected it.

Tessa widened her eyes. Trembling, she asked, “Come again?”

“When I woke up, there was a letter.” “She told me not to find her, take care of you, and that she would come back,” William said indifferently, masking his emotions.

“Why?” She asked, barely suppressing her cries.
