Chapter five

Tiana was late for her morning classes because she kept an eye out for Christoph. She just wanted to make sure he was okay and that only made everything worse because he was no where in sight. Soon it was lunch time and they were seated in the school café, having a late breakfast with her two best friends and some of their other friends, Ryan, Avery and Micha.

"Did you guys get the news?" Ryan asked looking at everyone expectantly.

"What news?" Asher quired with a month full of bread.

"We have a new Dean, his name is Eros--" Ryan answered their curiosity but was cut off by Avery.

"Eros? What a weird name", she commented looking very bothered by the name.

"I know right! That's what I said", Ryan countered.

"Wait is he the guy that was standing next to Mr Douglas the other day", Micha asked her eyes focused on the coffee in her hands.

"Yes, him", Ryan confirmed snapping his fingers eagerly.

"Isn't he too young?" Micha quired.

"Well I don't know Mahn but his the new dean", Ryan replied shrugging it off like it wasn't as important.

They continued to chatter when Angel walked up to their table. "Excuse me guys", he said grabbing their attention at once. The guy looked worried and restless and that's what got Tiana's full attention. The look on his face was exactly what she was feeling. And him being Christoph's room mate ment something was wrong.

" Has any of you see Christoph?" And that was the million dollar question that got Tiana's heart beating faster. She immediately stood up not even knowing why.

"What do you mean?!" She voiced out her question louder than she intended making everyone in the café go quiet.

"Tiana calm down I'm sure his fine", Jess said trying to get her friend to stop freaking out.

"And Angel what do you mean by "have you seen Christoph?" ".

"I mean that since last night he hasn't returned. We were studying in the school hall and he left to get a bottled water and since then I haven't seen him", Angel replied. Tiana started freaking out.

"Oh my god Jess! Oh my god!" She said trying to break out of her hold. "I knew this was going to happen, I told you guys but you didn't believe me--" she cried.

"What does she mean?" Angel asked. Tiana tried to explain but Jess kept sushing her.

"It's going to be fine Ana it was just a dream", Jessica cooed trying the best she could to stop her friend from having a panic attack but as far as anyone could see, it wasn't working.

"I... can't....breathe", Tiana said, managing to get out only three words before her throat closed up.

The drama at their table caught everyone's attention including that of Eros and he sprung into action the minute he heard her say those words.

"Move!" He commanded grabbing Tiana by the hand and pulled her out into the cool afternoon breeze bridal style.

She was gasping for breath and if they don't get her out of it soon she was going to pass out. "Hey...hey hey hey hey. Tiana listen to me, everything is going to be alright. I'll find Christoph and bring him back to you safe and sound, okay?" she nodded showing that she was listening. "But you got to breathe baby girl. Take one slow breath after the other, through your mouth and out through the nose. You can do it baby, breathe", he stroked her hair and slowly she began to calm.

He hummed a sweet melody into her ear and as silly as it may sound it was calming her faster than his words, slowly she was breathing properly but neither of them wanted to pull away. He felt safe, lovely and gosh he smelled so good that she took a deep breath in and felt all the tention leave her body. He was still huming the sweet tune and this time she paid attention to every high and low, the curves and every other little details of the song, when she realised he was haming the sweet melody of closer by tove lo and Nick Jonas.

When she pulled away to take a look at his face she was shocked to see that he was indeed gorgeous, her cheeks reddening at the realization. That and a tinge of familiarity sparked as she held his gaze. She swore she recognized that fire in his gaze but couldn't quite place where she had seen it.

The entire café erupted in applause drawing them back to reality. She immediately broke the staring contest when he got up pulling her up with him. Jess was squeezing her the minute they let go of each other.

"Omg I thought you were going to be taken to the ER!" Jess said sadness evident in her voice.

"I'm fine now", she assured her squeezing her best friend tightly when another set of arms wrapped around them. Asher.

"Don't ever do that again", he sniffed. Tiana and Jess pulled away to look at Asher and surely he had tears in his eyes.

"I wasn't going to die you big baby", Tiana said pulling him into a hug. When they broke away she began Searching for her saviour but he was no where in sight. He had left soon after he let go of her not wanting to linger about any longer than he had because he had a boy and sister to find. He also had one lead, where his sister was surely the boy was there. He hoped only that she hadn't killed him yet. Tiana returned into the café with her friends hoping to find him inside but little did she know he was looking at her through the tinted windows of his black BMW. He stepped on the gas pedal and was on his way back to his place to grab some few things.

He walked into his apartment and grabbed a bag full of weird looking weapons, a gas mask, four bottles of some greenish blue powder and lastly a gun. A few months ago his sister was cursed by the ancient tomb of Sekhment and she was turned into a wild beast. Killing her in his world was hard so he transported both of them here so that the magic she could harness was limited and it would be easier to kill her. But the down side to his plan was that he was also at a disadvantage with his powers and the longer he stayed the harder it got.

Now more than ever he had to find her because she has located his mate and as infuriating as it is he must protect his mate as well as her friends.

"Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck...fuck!!!" He exclaimed kicking at the bag he just filled to the bream with weapons.

"Hey hey.... Raphael!" Brandon said running into the room to rescue the bag from his best friend.

"Not now!" Raphael growled.

"Okay, but please while you're at it try not to destroy my precious weapons, okay?" Brandon said hugging his precious bag of weapons like a child with a bag of candy.

"She's here", Raphael said plopping down on the couch and barely making a sound. The couch though was old and couldn't hold his weight so he ended up going right through it. "Fuck", he growled slamming his fists on the armrest and completely demolishing it.

Brandon chuckled and helped him up when he his fits of laughter subsided. " I think we already established that fact", Brandon said amused.

"No, not my sister my mate", Raphael clarified making someone in the house gasp. He shot a glare at Brandon who just shrugged. Raphael got up and followed to where the voice originated from. Her sent hitting his nostrils the moment he rounded up the corner.

"You brought your girlfriend into our secret mission?!" He was upset enough already and having to handle another problem wasn't helping.

"Actually", Zara started popping out of Brandon's room all cheerful and bouncy. " I came by myself", she clarified.

"Why?" Raphael asked.

"Because you guys need me to kick butt", she made a ridiculous kick motion to back up her words.

"Oh dear Anubis kill me now", Raphael prayed, heading for his room. He slammed the door closed behind him and roared into his pillow praying for patience. And he got it, in the form of memories of how his body fit so perfectly around her. Her, his Tiana.

Soon he had drifted off to sleep.
