Chapter 74

As we finished eating breakfast, I noticed that Lena had a faraway look in her eyes. I nudged my mate and mind linked, “It looks like our daughter is having an oracle moment.” I put a notebook in front of her and a pen in her hand. I asked, “Would you like to write it down?”

Lena gripped the pen and touched it to the paper. She started writing, still in a trance-like state. I watched as she continued to fill three pages of paper, then it was all over. She silently read what she wrote and her face became pale. She lowered her gaze and I watched a tear fall from her eyes and land somewhere in her lap.

I asked, “What is it, sweetheart?” She shook her head, “Mom, I’m sorry, but I can’t tell you or dad. It has to do with your future and I am not allowed to tell you anything that will change your destiny. I want you both to live a long and happy life with me and my brothers and sisters.” I gaped at her while my mate chuckled, “Are you saying we will adopt more children?” She smiled and nodd

I apologize for the wait. I had an issue with how this chapter was going to go, but I think it's developing nicely. I did make this one a little longer than usual. I couldn't find a good stopping point. I do hope you like it.
