The next day, Isaac and I went to the pack house early and let Lena sleep. We had been out late the night before and Lena was wired for sound with excitement when we got home. Wendy informed us that she didn’t go to sleep until four a.m. I laughed, “I did the same thing. The first shift and run in wolf form is a real adrenaline rush. She will probably sleep most of the day.”

When I got to my office, Kyra knocked on the door and I invited her in. She stepped in and smiled, “I have a surprise for you.” I smiled, “I would love a surprise.” Kyra reached out her door and guided someone into my office. When Kyra stood aside, I gasped, “Elena! Oh. My. Goddess! You look beautiful!”
