Fenrir and the others finally make it to the outpost and realize that everyone is preparing the defenses. Guards and archers are lined up on the walls that surround the outpost, newly driven spikes surround the gate entrance. The evacuation of women and children has already begun, a soldier approaches to inform them of what's going on.
"Where were all of you? We are on red alert. There are powerful mages heading towards the outpost as we speak."
"Don't worry about it." Fenrir says in a cocky tone. "I won't let them kill anyone here."
The soldier looks at him with dismay. "I'm afraid you are too late. Lokota went ahead with a small army of volunteers, we haven't heard back from them yet. If anything, they bought us some time to prepare out defenses."
Fenrir looks over at Skoll who seems to be shaken up by this news. 'Wasn't Lokota his mentor? I barely knew the guy, but I know he was strong enough go handle himself in a fight. In any case, Skoll
'Why am I doing this? Why do I desire to become stronger? Is it to protect those who can't protect themselves? If that's the case, then why do I feel the need to kill humans? Why do I only feel the need to protect my species from harm? Oh, that's right, they fight among themselves because they can't put their differences aside. Only coming together when they can't fight the battle alone. But after the battle has been won, it starts all over again. To keep them in check, there needs to be constant conflict. The suffering of others benefits those who provide the suffering. In the end, there needs to be a sacrifice, but only one needs to be provided.'Fenrir blocks out all needless distractions from his surroundings and only focuses on the enemies in front of him. 'These two will only bring us closer together temporarily, they are not the sacrifices that we need. The true sacrifice needs to willingly volunteer for it. They are just pawns in this game of life.'Esyn
"Fenrir!" Delmar shouts. "We need to stop him before he has a chance to attack."Skoll is up to the challenge as well taking his place alongside Delmar. "I'm guessing we should distract him while Fenrir goes in for the kill?"Delmar nods in agreement as he sees Auron building up a massive amount of energy. "Let's attack both sides, Fenrir can catch him off guard by teleporting behind him. Lucia, try using your illusion spell on him. There's no guarantee it will work, but at least it might distract him."While the others are preparing to attack Auron, Fenrir is still shaken up a bit. After he gets back his composer, he pulls out a piece of paper and writes something on it before wrapping the ring of teleportation inside it. Arkad looks at him curiously wondering what he is doing after Fenrir teleports it somewhere. "It's a backup plan just in case." Fenrir says after he notices Arkad looking at him.Delmar and Skoll begin their assault on
Fenrir smirks. "I thought that might be a possibility, that's why I made it impossible for Auron to find them. He can try if he wants, if they followed my instructions, there's no way he would be able to get to them.""We will see about that." The butler says as he starts walking down the stairs. "Right now, I need to know if you would be willing to join us. We can do this the easy way, or the hard way.""I need to know what your goals are. Everyone I care about is safe, so I'm not completely opposed to joining you now."The butler stands only a few feet away from Fenrir. "I sense deception in your voice. Could it be that your planning to kill Auron when you become strong enough? The fact that you have no defense against illusion magic makes it clear that you have no hope to kill him. Auron knows that you can be a great asset to complete his goals. You have morals, but you're willing to do what you must, even if that implies doing what you think is w
Fenrir struggles to breathe as Auron continues to strangle him. Just as Fenrir feels like he is about to pass out, Auron lets go of him letting him fall to the ground. Fenrir continues to cough as he slowly recovers from nearly being choked to death. "That damn Butler sure likes to take his time. I'll ask only one more time. Where are they?"Fenrir manages to stand up while still rubbing his neck. "Even if I told you, there's no way you could get to them. Besides, you got what you wanted, they're no longer in this realm.""I see. But that doesn't change the fact that they are still alive. The point was to kill them, it would have symbolized a renewal of Suriel's plan.""That sounds like something out of a fictional story. Listen, I don't care about what happens to this world anymore. There's nothing in this realm that I care about. So I'll take you up on your offer for me to join you."Auron isn't completely convinced by his will
The group of wolves are lead through a portal that takes them into a different spatial dimension than where they began. This time, ahead of them is a large city with strange architecture. "Allow me to clear a few things up before we continue." The elf says. "This city is strictly for magical creatures only, its main purpose is to get you used to the outside world that the humans control. For this reason, we have decided to build a city with one of the most popular designs in the world today. This particular city uses Corinthian architecture popularized recently by the Greeks."Scias rushes out of the group to get the best view of the city below. "This is very interesting. I can't believe that I have the opportunity to study cities from other realms. What kind if architecture did you say it was again?"A guard pushes Scias back from the ledge of the cliff overlooking the city. "The tour isn't over yet.""Before we continue into the city, I need
Fala stands knee-deep in a nearby river pondering what life would have been like if she had previously gone with her brother in the first place. Ria had lived a full life here, made a family of his own, and she wasn't there to see it. Just like life, the river keeps on flowing no matter what happens. Life is cruel that way, things die and everything around keeps on flowing ahead. Time stops for those who lose a loved one, but the world around them doesn't stop. Even though its been a week since Ria died, Fala's wounds still have not healed. She looks over her shoulder when she hears someone walking towards her. Fenrir approaches slowly knowing exactly what she is going through. "They told me that I would find you here." He says in a calm and caring voice. "I understand how hard it is to let go. They say time heals all wounds, that may be so, but just like physical wounds, they still leave a scar."Fala faces the river again not wanting to talk. Fenrir take
'My dearest Fenrir, the moment I saw you I knew I had to have you. Seeing someone like you take pity on some lowly humans who have had their lives ruined by the system, I just knew you were the one for me. At that time, I couldn't muster the courage to talk to you. I hid in the shadows and waited for the perfect opportunity to drink out of the same cup you did. I didn't know if it would work, but I wanted you to be the one to turn me into a wolf.' Cloven keeps trying to think of things to say to Fenrir to get him on his side while following him.'Your recruitment process to bring the wolves back to Fura isn't doing well. Following you throughout the day, so far I've seen that not a single one has accepted your proposal. If I wasn't the leader, I would follow you back in a heartbeat. Perhaps if I don't come off too strong this time, maybe he will be more fond of me.'Cloven returns to his duties after following Fenrir for the majority of the day. The paperwork the
Two days later in the human realm, the council elder elves who are in charge of making rules and act as a Supreme Court, call in Cloven for questioning. An insignificant matter to say the least, but one that could put Cloven's reputation. on the line. The council building is at the capital, a spatial dimension consisting of housing and offices for those in high power controlling and enforcing the laws put in place many years ago. Only those with clearance or invitations can enter such a space. Without it, it is almost impossible to enter.Cloven enters the council courtroom where he is surrounded by a half-circle table of council members. Guards line the room in case something happens, and all those who enter the council room are escorted by at least two guards as well. The elves primarily stick to the laws from their homeland, however, they have become more inclusive to this world and recognize the importance of cultural diversity in a world that doesn't b
Daren starts to fade in and out of consciousness. The pain is becoming too much for his body to handle. He stops screaming, and his body becomes numb. His brain severs the pain receptors. He lays there, getting sodomized to death. Dying this way never crossed his mind. How much damage has he done to her to make her this way? To even think about doing this to someone. Unforgivable. But these things happen all the time. We just choose to be ignorant of them for our sanity. "He's had enough." Fenrir says after seeing his body go limp. Alice is about to interject, but then she sees the same thing. He's dead. "Do you feel any better?" Fenrir asks her, already knowing the answer to that. She was enjoying herself, too much for Fenrir to be comfortable with. Then again. If he was in her position, he might have done something similar. Cloven comes to his mind. He still wonders why he let him live. "So soon?" Alice kicks his body to see if he is still alive. There's no sign of any life. "It
Despite all of the kicking and screaming Daren does, they continue to drag him outside and head for the river. "You brought this upon yourself." Alice berates him. "Bad dogs need to learn to shit outside." "Stop calling me that." Daren tries to hold back his anger. He doesn't want to make the situation worse. Then again, how could he? They're just going to kill him either way. "You know what? Fuck you. I should have beaten you harder when I had the chance." "This is what you get for going through life half-assed. If you're going to abuse someone, you might as well finish them off." Alice keeps berating Daren to get a reaction out of him. But Daren won't fall for it. He won't stoop to her level. He'll take this punishment like a man. This is nothing compared to getting his arm chopped off. What's a little cold bath going to do? When they reach the river, Fenrir asks Alice if she minds if he were to take a bath as well. He hasn't washed his fur since he came here. And she probably do
"What are we doing here?" Skoll says to Lucia and Fala, who have been coming to this bar every day after finishing their daily activities. "Shouldn't we be doing something?" Skoll takes a drink of his beer. He's on his seventh one. "You keep following Lucia and I. No one is forcing you to be here. In fact, we want you to leave." Over the past several days, Skoll has been getting on Fala's nerves with his excessive drinking. Always complaining about Fenrir. At this rate, she hopes he drinks himself to death. That would at least solve one of her problems. "Am I not good enough to fight the demon army by myself? Everyone thinks Fenrir can." Skoll orders a couple of shots, trying to drink himself into a drunken stupor. "I train hard every day, but I feel like I'm always one step behind him." "Skoll. Can Fala and I drink in peace? I understand where you're coming from. But this is getting ridiculous." Lucia tries not to use a harsh tone, but it comes off that way. She knows Skoll better
Fenrir bobs and weaves their fruitless attacks. Far to slow for any to hit him. Instead of going for the killing blows, Fenrir focuses on maiming them. Mainly going after the tendons in their legs so that they can't run away. One by one, they fall to the ground, screaming in pain and yelling for help. Fenrir is about to take out the last human of the group, but he stops short when he smells a familiar scent on him. Alice's scent. Then it hits him. This must be the guy she was talking about, the one who abused Alice in the first place. The one that caused her so much pain and suffering. The thoughts that race through Fenrir's mind are nothing short of sadistic. Wanting to see this human suffer more than the others. But this isn't his fight. Alice should be the one to take her revenge. He'll save him for her, to do what she deems necessary. A proper punishment for unforgivable crimes. This human just stares at him wide-eyed, scared that this violent creature might have something else mo
After two hours of walking, they reach their destination. Some old ruins that strangley resemble that of an old stone fort. Might have been a better option for the rest of the humans to take refuge in, but the crumbling walls are in need of a ton of work. Alice jumps up and down in excitement. Her dream is coming true. Becoming a werewolf, and maybe spending the rest of her life with one. Fenrir, on the other hand, doesn't find this place suitable for living in the long term. There's too much work to be done in a hostile place like this. It's overgrown with plants, on the verge of collapse, and their enemies are too close for comfort."We'll stay here for the night." Alice says enthusiastically. "I want you to impregnate me." If it wasn't for all the fur, she could easily see how much Fenrir is blushing. 'I thought she would be a little more classy than this. Women don't talk like this to guys they just met.'"Alice." Fenrir's voice shakes, still caught off guard by her words. "I thin
"What do you mean by that?" Fenrir asks, not understanding how a human doesn't find their own species attractive. "I guess that I'm just different from everybody else." She looks away from his eyes, trying to think of the right words to say as her heart flutters. "I've heard stories about werewolves, and I've always wanted to meet one since I was a kid." She looks into his eyes once again. I always wanted to be one.""Are you sure? Because I can turn you into one right now." Fenrir regrets saying that so soon. Her mind might not be in the right place. He'd rather wait until they are in a safe place where her mind is at ease. Then again, it would help her survive the storm. "After I do this, there is no going back." She hugs him tighter. She's made up her mind. 'Everything about him is comforting.' She doesn't mind that he has killed people, probably out of cold blood. This is something she has dreamed about since she could remember. Everything about this feels right. "I know." It's
"Come back here, Alice." One of them yells at her as if she would obey a command like that in a life or death situation. "We just want to play." Fenrir keeps chasing after them, trying to think of a plan. He wants to save Alice, but can he do it without giving himself away? He may not have a choice. Alice keeps running as fast as she can. She is running out of breath, but she knows that she can't stop. She knows that she is going to have to fight back or hide. She glances over her shoulder to see where they are. She quickly ducks behind a tree as she gets her bow ready and shoots it off quickly in their direction before taking off again. The arrow hits one of the men in the stomach, causing him to fall to the ground. As he screams in pain, the two other men stop to help him. "Don't pull it out." One of them yells. "We need to get him back to the doctor." "He won't make it." The other one says while the man keeps screaming. "We need to catch up to her. He's just going to slow us do
Lords of the fallen, great kings who had once held positions of power to become kings of nothing. Everything comes to an end at some point, but no one thinks that far ahead. Nor would they want to. No one would have thought that an entire world would succumb to a fate such as this. Whoever the survivors are that survived the tragedy, you can be sure that they didn't learn the lessons their ancestors did. Foot tracks. Fenrir stares at them, wondering if it is still a good idea to contact them. They might have been bombed into the stone age. They might be a cannabilistic tribe. Not like he cares, they can't do anything to hurt him. He decides to keep following the tracks, hoping that they will lead to their settlement. Light snow starts to fall, and it's not enough to cover the tracks, but he doesn't want to take his time either. He needs to find this place before the snow gets worse. If he can get there before the sun rises, he will be able to scout the area better without getting no
"It's been a long time." Cloven says to Fenrir after staring at eqchother for what seems like an eternity. "I just want to say that I don't blame you for what you did." Cloven's tone comes of as genuine. "I realized that I'm not a good person. I can't interact with others until I get better." Fenrir looks at him, confused by how he worded that. "So, are you saying that you aren't better yet? What have you been doing here?"Cloven wastes no time answering him. "I thought I was going to die from dehydration until I found that cave over there. Sometimes, the animals that live in their venture outside, that's how I found it."Fenrir rubs his face out of frustration, knowing where this is going. He wants to know if it's true, but he also knows that he is going to regret asking. "Let me guess. The reason that you know that you're not better is because you are having sex with the animals?" Cloven pauses for a moment, and Fenrir sees this as an admission of guilt. "Let me explain!." Cloven
