Telling Aaron The Truth

I felt the weight of exhaustion and weariness pressing down on my eyelids as I struggled to open my eyes. A harsh ray of sunlight pierced through the window and stung my eyes forcing me to squint. The vivid and horrifying memories of the previous night hit my senses like thunder and I sprang up with a sudden jolt.

Oh my god! I was kidnapped by Edrick yesterday. Wait! My hands and feet are freed and I am also wearing a floral patterned top with a chiffon skirt. Did he do something perverted to me after I had fallen asleep? But I don't feel any pain or discomfort in my body. Whenever we used to do it before, I'd wake up the next morning with intense pain throughout my whole body.

A wave of terror washed over me when I saw Edrick nonchalantly getting ready in front of the dressing table. Our gazes met in the reflection of the mirror and a petrifying chill crawled down my spine.

"Why are you looking at me like I am going to eat you up?" Edrick teased in his seductive voice, a flicker of mischief in his eyes. The madman who tried to assault me viciously like a beast yesterday was replaced by the gentleman whose bewitching unearthly beauty and intoxicating gaze would always ignite a flutter of butterflies in my stomach in the past.

But why the hell is his eyes reflecting such tenderness now? It felt like an ominous and deceptive calm before the storm.

"Let's go. Let me drop you to your husband. Though Aaron has sold his wife to me, I don't have an appetite to take a girl against her will", Edrick said arching one of his dark eyebrows playfully.

"What nonsense are you blabbering? Aaron will never do such a thing. He is not a despicable person like you who treats women like nothing but a toy and disposes them when you are done playing", I couldn't help but raise my voice at the disgusting accusation Edrick made about my husband. How dare he!

"I didn’t know I had such a vile impression in your heart. I will see if you feel the same for your so-called good husband after he chases you out of your own research center," Edrick alleged sternly with a creepy look on his face before darting out of the room.

I don’t have time to linger on the rubbish things he said about Aaron when I am the one who hid my shameful past from him before marriage. Lord have some mercy on me! What on earth will I tell Aaron if Edrick has spilled our past to him? I don’t want to be left abandoned again. I felt my vision blur as tears welled up in my eyes. With a trembling hand, I wiped away the tears with the palm of my hand. I can't give up.

If Edrick has exposed my disgraceful history, I will confess everything to Aaron. He loves me immensely. Even though I didn’t agree to date him at the university, he persistently persuaded me like a gentleman and became my closest friend and biggest support over time. When my mom died leaving me completely alone in the whole world, he stood like a pillar by my side, thanks to him I could overcome the sorrow of losing her. He will surely understand why I had to become Edrick's mistress.

The distant sound of a horn echoing through the courtyard snapped me back from millions of my thoughts. I ran towards the floor-to-ceiling window and saw that the car's engine had started. I don't have a cellphone with me now and I have no clue about this secluded place. How will I go back if Edrick leaves? There is no way that he will drop me to Aaron after kidnapping me. Judging from his personality, he will perhaps kill me and dump me somewhere for disobeying him yesterday!

I practically bolted towards the stairs and hurriedly got down. I scanned the spacious dining table with my eyes and saw a knife there. I took the knife and hid it under my skirt. If Edrick tries to take me somewhere else, I will use it at the right moment. I was literally out of breath when I opened the car door.

"I thought you had changed your mind and didn’t want to return to your husband after almost having a steamy night with me", Edrick whispered in my ears motioning the driver to start.

I pushed him back and looked at him with threatening eyes.

"Oops! Don't tempt me if you don’t want to get laid in the car. Don't you know I always end up getting a boner when you give me that look?" Edrick said shamelessly while suggestively licking his lips.

Bastard! If I could give him a hard slap across his face at this moment, maybe I would feel a little bit relieved. But I restrained myself with much difficulty clenching the knife tightly over my skirt. I can't anger Edrick now. I need to go back to Aaron as quickly as I can.

The car was quiet the whole way. I kept looking outside the window anxiously ignoring Edrick's burning gaze over my back. Nothing as I presumed happened. The car drove for one hour and stopped before Aaron's company building. A week ago, I came here with Aaron to go through the legal process of merging my mother's institution with his. But has he come to the office today? He might have gone half mad trying to find me.

"Will you not even say goodbye before leaving?" I looked back listening to Edrick's sarcastic tone.

"Go and die, you freaking lunatic!" I cursed at him and ran at the speed of light without looking back. I got in the elevator hurriedly afraid that Edrick would follow me and chop my head from my body. The lift reached to twentieth floor and stopped. I walked to the reception desk to find Aaron's secretary to call him. The secretary stared at me like she had seen a ghost.

"Ma-dam, yo-u are here-

"Has Aaron come to the office? " I asked hurriedly.

" Yes but..

I ran to Aaron's office room before letting her finish and swung the door open -

"Aaron...ah....give it to me harder..yeah... ah..like this...

I found my legs rooted to the ground witnessing the scene in front of me. I wanted to shout but I was not able to make a word out of my throat as if I lost my voice. Aaron was sitting on his chair and a blonde was straddling him naked while riding on his c**k swiftly. "Aaron..." I couldn’t ask him anything because I didn't know what he would say. Perhaps I didn’t want to know. Eliza gave me a hostile look and darted out of the room.

"Why don’t you finish Aaron? Where should I be if not with my husband whom I married just yesterday? " I couldn’t keep my sanity anymore.

"Come to think of it, the car was yours, right? Why would the driver follow Edrick's command? Please tell me whatever Edrick said about you selling me to him is not true," I felt a heavy weight pressing down on my chest.

"It's just for a few days babe. He just finds you fresh and innocent, he will get tired in no time. Try to understand, I did it for both of our future. Look, I wanted to tell you beforehand but you would not have agreed. Can't you just sleep with him only for a few days to support me, please?" Edrick put his both hands on my shoulder trying to convince me affectionately but I only felt nauseated the more I listened to his bullshitting.

"Incredible! My beloved husband sold me to a stranger and is fucking his childhood sweetheart in his office just after the day of our marriage," a sense of despair enveloped me as I looked at Aaron with tears shimmering in my eyes.

"Eliza broke up with his boyfriend recently. She was utterly heartbroken. I was merely trying to console her and mistakenly we ended up....you know...But I promise you it won't happen again." Aaron attempted to give me a lame excuse.

"Are you kidding me? You said that your family business is not doing well. You must have done this out of pressure. Aaron, you don't need to curry favour with Edrick for the improvement of your business. We will work hard together and make it work out. I will forget everything I saw today, just don’t do this to me," I tried to calm down and pursue Aaron.

"Ha! There are many things you don’t know. Let's go to our family mansion. Grandpa has planned a big reception party for us tonight. I will explain everything to you after the party will be finished," Aaron sighed.

None of us talked the whole way and there was an awkward silence in the car. I need to sort out my turbulent emotions first. We will sort this out. I know Aaron's love towards me can't be fake.
