CHAPTER FIVE

Ericka ran to her room. A sudden type of anger flaring up inside of her. She slammed the door tightly behind her before sliding to the ground. She tugged at her hair so tight that some fell out but it was not even half of the pain she felt right now.

She was so confused, she had no idea of what to do anymore. At that moment, a text came into her phone. Thinking it was from Tony, she ignored it but another text came in. Slightly frustrated, she picked up the phone and found it was from her best friend Freya.

[Hi Ricka, What's up?]—Freya.

[Why aren't you replying?, I can clearly see your mobile data is on.]—Freya.

Ericka sighed. She had totally forgotten to contact Freya because of everything happening.

[I'm so sorry...]

[You better be(￣^￣). By the way,i'll be returning tomorrow.]—Freya.

[Really?. I thought you had just gone some days ago?, it usually takes you up to a month before you return.]

[Well..yeah. The client had canceled the job at the last moment, so there was no use of me staying there anymore.]—Freya.

[Oh..sorry about that.]

[Nah. I'm happy she canceled it. That woman is such a pain in the butt. It would have been a night mare working with her.⊙︿⊙]—Freya.

[And by the way...you don't mind picking me up right?.]—Freya.

[Of course not. We could even chat a little.]

[Yes. About Tony *wink wink*.]—Freya.

[Silly. Just tell me the time I'm meant to pick you up.]

[1pm maybe?.]—Freya.

[1pm it is. Now go to bed. Goodnight.]

[Good night.]—Freya.

The next day.

Ericka woke up early as usual. She dipped herself into the bathtub, allowing the warm water soak her. After that, she applied her body cream and tied her hair into a neat ponytail.

Once she arrived downstairs, she saw that everyone was sitted on the dinning table except Xander, he must have gone to work already, she thought. She greeted everyone but the only ones who responded were grandpa Hart and Frederick.

Dianna and Jessica ignored her existence.

She quickly ate her breakfast since she was quite late before rushing out of the house.

"See grandpa, she just came yesterday and now she's already going out, I bet she went to see a ma-"

"Will you shut up!." Grandpa Hart cut into her sentence. "Unlike you, she had asked for my permission before going out."

Jessica instantly lowered her head not expecting to be shouted at by her grandpa. 'You'll pay for this Ericka.' She mumbled to herself.

Ericka waited patiently at the airport, but 1, 2, 3 hours past and there was still no sign of Freya. Ericka was getting a little worried so she decided to call her but as she was about to bring out her phone, she spotted a woman dressed in an all black outfit and she instantly knew who it was.

"Freya!."

Freya smiled sweetly at Ericka before enveloping her in a tight hug.

"Oh Ricka, i've missed you so much!."

"F-f-freya!, you're strangling me!."

"Sorry..."

Freya finally released her from the hug/stranglement.

Ericka led Freya into the taxi.

"Delight's spot please."

Freya told the taxi driver and he nodded before zooming off.

"Why?." Ericka asked with a slightly confused expression.

"For food duh. I'm really hungry, aren't you?."

"Nope, not really, I just ate."

Freya shook her head in disappointment.

"Tsk. No wonder you're so skinny."

Ericka:"..."

At Delight's spot.

"Gosh, I love the food they serve here!, it's so tasty!."

Freya exclaimed in between her munching making Ericka shake her head. "Don't choke on your food."

"I wouldn't mind choking if the food I ate everyday is as tasty as this."

Ericka:"..."

She was spouting such nonsense.

"Look who is here."

Ericka and Freya both paused hearing that unpleasant familiar voice.

"What do you want?." Freya asked with a slightly irritated tone.

"Awwn, little Freya has grown wings to talk to me in such a manner, remember were you stand girl!."

Freya looked up at Juliana Smith with dagger like eyes.

"You are just five years older than me but that does not give you the right to talk to me like that!."

"You-. I can easily get you kicked out of this place if you don't mind the way you speak to me!."

Juliana threatened.

"Oh, I'm so scared. Let me tell you something since you're too dumb to know. It's only the boss of this restaurant who has the right to throw me out and apparently, you're not!."

Juliana smirked at Freya.

"And that's were you're wrong because you are currently looking at the owner of Delight's spot."

"I would like if you repeated that."

They heard a deep voice speak from the door and they all fell silent. Xander's gaze swept over the woman who had claimed to own this restaurant.

"I said i am the owner of this restaurant."

Juliana spoke with an air of arrogance. A small laugh escaped his thin lips.

"How can you possibly be the owner when i am also the owner?. Isn't that an unusual coincidence?."

Juliana gulped, finally realizing who was in front of her.

"A-Alexander Hart?."

Xander ignored her and instead called the security.

"Take this woman out of here!. And you're band from ever stepping into this place, got that?!."

Juliana eyes widened in surprise, she looked around and saw people whispering, some threw her a look of disgust and she felt like sinking into the ground.

"P-please forgive me, i-it won't happen again, please." Juliana begged as the two bulky men effortless dragged her out. Xander just dusted his clothes and walked over to Ericka's table but he didn't even glance at her once, instead he took Freya's hand lovingly in his before placing a kiss on the back of her palm.

This action pierced Ericka's heart deeply and she didn't know why.

Meanwhile, Freya who had no idea that Xander was Ericka's fiance blushed scarlett red.

"And who are you handsome?." Freya who had a flirty nature asked. Xander who was only doing this to hurt Ericka put on his most charming smile.

"Ericka's fiance."

Freya:"..."

There was a moment of silence. Freya turned to Ericka with a shocked expression.

"Tony-"

Ericka pressed her hand under the table and shook her head slightly.

This action made Xander look at Ericka suspiciously.

"Who's Tony?."
