An alpha comes to visit.

Senses training had slightly improved. We were now having to try and use our senses whilst under water. We were currently training in the swimming pool in the pack house tower rather than the murky swamp in the wooded part of the pack, near the top field. Blake was quieter than usual, she was clearly missing Trey and I could tell worried about Alpha Hansen attending a meeting with her cousins today. The distance between her and Trey was also affecting her training. The mate bond was playing tricks and she was struggling to concentrate on the task in hand.

“Why don’t we go out this weekend?” I offer to her to cheer her up.

“Really?” She beams at me, squeezing my arm with excitement as we step out of the pool.

“Yes, I’ve not really been around have I? Plus I would like to spend more time with Nyah, perhaps she could join us.”

“We could do the Italian, I doubt Lance will let you leave pack grounds so that might be our best shot!” She suggests tapping her fin

I’m so in love with these lycans. From the beginning they welcomed and adopted their future princess. I’ve never been so enthralled with a book as this one. You’re one badass writer!! Your work is really inspiring!! Thank you so much!!

He can not be serious has he lost his mind? I hope he takes her suggestion that would be the smartest and best thing for the pack.

Six Silver Bullets. Lance’s grip on my hand is strong, possessive. He pulls me away from the car and through his guards into the stronghold of his apartment. He bolts the door behind us and pushes me up against the door. He starts to shift, teeth elongating and I can see in his eyes, just how desperate he is to mark me, for me to wear his mark, branding me claimed for all to see. His nose touches my inner neck and my legs give way by his seductive added growl. He catches me, his arms strengthening out to ensure I do not fall, never in his presence. “What did he want?” He seethes as he touches my hair and checks me for any remaining scent of Alpha Hansen, any place he might of touched me. “He said he mentioned a trade…” I decide to only tell him what Lance already knows. My father’s health is a threat to the pack if leaked inadvertently. “You are mine!” His wolf roars, cutting me off. He lifts me up, swooping my legs from under me and carries me like newlyweds into his bedroom. He

A protective lie. I hear Lance screaming for me as he runs towards me. Whoever fired the bullets has been tackled to the ground and restrained already. I’m in too much pain and covered in too much blood to make out who it is. I am struggling to focus on the scene in front of me. My eyes become blurry.“Aida…Aida stay with me!” Lance shouts as he cups my face. His voice seems far away. I resort to lip reading to make out what he is saying to me. “Axel….not me, Axel.” I croak out with the little strength I have left. Axel was still on top of me, suffocating my lungs, preventing me from taking deep breaths of oxygen. “Aida…..” Lance starts to gently tap my face to keep me awake but he is pulled off me so that medical help can attend to Axel and myself. Once Axel is removed from on top of me I take a deep breath of air to refill my lungs. Someone touches my bullet wound and the excruciating pain forces me to let out a high pitched scream. “She’s got one…” Someone says. “He’s got five

A traitor’s punishment. “Where is he?” I growl at Mav. This is out of character for Spike. Yes we’ve had issues in the past but to try and kill me with silver bullets is rather extreme, even for him. “He’s in the cells. Like I said, Lance is sorting it.” “Sorting what?” “Extracting information.” His eyes glaze over, probably informing Lance that I was awake. “Take me to him!” I command. “No Aida, you are to stay here.” “Axel is fighting for his life…I need to understand why, why this has happened.” I scream out in frustration to Mav. “Please…” I whimper out to him. “He’ll have my head!” He sighs out. “He won’t, I won’t let him!” I promise. I make it to the cells behind the training base’s courtyard which I had the pleasure of experiencing myself. It was now close to midnight. Mav refused to drive me or carry me. He said if I couldn’t walk it, I shouldn’t be going. He expected me to collapse on the ground half way but he underestimates the hell fire circulating in my stomach.

Trying to understand. I am covered in a large hoodie by his mother, donated by a lycan male. Lance doesn’t want me naked in front of other males and she is just as aware of this as I am. The crowd disperses and everyone goes back to their beds. His grip on my hips is strong as he walks me to his apartment. We are followed by Ricardo, Lorrel, Mav, Blake and Tucker. He growls as they enter his apartment, he wanted to claim me again through sex. “Knock it off Lance!” Lorrel orders at her son. “This is important!” She continues to glare at him. Her demeanour warming only as she turns to me. “Aida dear, would you put some clothes on and then come back out?” “Of course!” I do as requested by the Queen Lycan, keen to cover myself as well. Lance follows me into the bedroom, closing the door behind him. He pulls me gently as he sits down on the end of the bed. He places me on top of him, straddling him. He fists my hair, pulling my head back before running his tongue along my neck and ja

A painful truth. He’s not tired yet. He’s had me every way possible. He’s a lycan on a mission. Tingles have completely covered my body throughout the night. Each time I think he is about to fall asleep his hands artistically start to play with me again. Every time his fingers run over my bullet wound, a threatening growl escapes him. It will leave a scar, silver does that. “You aren’t going!” He breathes into my ear as he holds me from behind. “I just want to sit with him!” I whine out. “Mav is with him. He promises if there’s any changes he’ll mind-link me and we will go to him.” “But….”“You want to interrogate Nadine…and you can. She isn’t going anywhere! You need to sleep.”He’s right, I need to sleep. “You’re right. She’s probably already mind-linked her family to tell them about her house arrest and Spike!” I say as I snuggle into him. A couple of hours sleep won’t change anything too drastically. I close my eyes when a loud groan leaves his throat. He hasn’t thought of t

A big step. On my mission and aware of the little time I have before Lance comes after me, I enter the pack house block tower and make my way to the lift. As her apartment door opens from my knock, I am greeted by Mav’s shocked face, along with another on-watch guard. “Oh good you’re here. This will make it easier when Lance reprimands me. At least you were watching me.” I push past him, not giving him a chance to turn me away. Nadine isn’t in the main room, I hear her baby suckling in the bedroom and give her time. I make myself comfortable on her sofa, waiting her out. She would have heard my arrival, but it was important that she feeds her baby. After around twenty minutes and some uncomfortable movements from Mav, who was trying to block out Lance’s mind-link, she walks out of the bedroom. Gaunt and ghost like. It’s true what they say about losing a mate. She walks into the kitchen and flicks the kettle on.“Tea?” She asks which results in a laugh from me. “No thank you!” I resp

A punishment too cold“I’m fine with that!” I agree to meet with Nadine. “Well I’m not!” It’s Lorrel that refuses before Lance. “She won’t harm me.” Somehow I felt confident in this. She’d happily let others kill me, but not by her own hands. It’s almost as if she is being forced to do something. “Will you execute her?” I bluntly ask Ricardo. “It’s highly likely. I need to speak with my advisors but I can’t see her behaviour having a way out of this.”“What of the baby? Do I have your consent to offer the baby a place at the Mulder pack? They adopt children from packs where wolves had pups before meeting their mates…children that a pack wouldn’t want to raise. If I paid for the child, would you consent to release her into Alpha Rory Mulder’s guardianship?” “Why would you do that?” He huffs at me. “She is an innocent and away from judgemental lycans, she could flourish.”King Ricardo considers me for a moment before replying. “I can use my idea as a bargaining tool. Emotions running high. I’m not sure how I got back to the palace. But I was sitting at the dining room table, with a chicken broth soup placed in front of me. Someone had put a blanket around my shoulders and was rubbing my back for comfort. The rich plum and toffee scent was telling me it was Lance, and when I turned to look at his face I see him talking to me. “Try and eat something angel, it will make you feel better.” I nod, he’s right, I need to eat something. As I lift the spoon to my mouth, I look up to see Ricardo and Lorrel arguing in the kitchen. Mav and Tucker are standing by the door looking at me. The arguing continues until I just can’t take it anymore. “Please don’t kill her?” I ask out loud to the King. “Aida…” Lance starts to explain how it must be so. “No, please?”“Why?” Ricardo walks over to me, his footsteps loud and heavy. “You’ve taken away the link. Please don’t take her away from her child.” My eyes start to water. “Aida…” He stops in front of me and

Finally the truth! “What is going on?” Ricardo seeks out information due to my current lack of speech. “Your majesty, Alpha Ike is in the final stages.” The pack doctor responds respectfully to Ricardo. “What?” I gasp out loud. I knew he was ill, Alpha Hansen had warned me Father had months but I thought even that was exaggerated. I didn’t expect weeks! “Aida?” He removes his oxygen mask and places his hand out for me to hold. What is this? The confessions of a dying man. Admitting sins to the moon goddess. I should be sad, any normal daughter would be sobbing at the scene in front of her. But I wasn’t a normal daughter, I was shunned for so long I wasn’t sure my heart would ever return here. “Let’s give them some privacy.” Ricardo orders. “Aida…I’ll be downstairs if you need me!” He whispers into my ear. I don’t miss the scowl Saskia gives me for being in favour with the Lycan King. Oh if only you knew sweetheart. My growl back to her is enough for Henri to growl threateningly a

The biggest of sins. We were due to leave in a few hours time. I now had no hold-all so I was in the Alpha’s office waiting for Luna Rennie to find me a replacement bag. I had knocked on the door to ask having not seen Alpha Ray or Luna Rennie since Lance’s and Axel’s departure. Alpha Ray was visiting the hospital and Luna was due to join him after finding me a bag. Rory walks into the office with a hold-all in hand, passing it over to me. “Here, Mum said you needed a bag, use this one.” “Thank you, I’ll get it sent back.”“Don’t worry about it.” He waves his hands in the air. “Alpha Rory, I’m really sorry that I brought all this trouble on your doorstep.” My guilt had only been growing since Lynx told me Nadine had flagged that I was looking to put their baby up for adoption. The Mulder pack being the only one to do it in the country. “Aida, we consider you part of the family now, we’d always protect you.” He earnestly says as he sits at his Father’s desk. “Even so….is there any

A mission. By the time we returned to the cars, Fern, the witch, had disappeared and Lance and Ricardo were now free. We decide to hold back all information until we are back safely at the Mulder pack, where we demand an emergency meeting with all Lycans, Tate and the Mulder Alpha family. The journey back was awkward, Lance growling constantly in the back seat with me firmly placed on his lap. Poor Rafe who was in the back with us again, looked terrified the Lycan Prince was going to lash out at any moment. Between myself, Mav and Axel we informed the trusted parties what we had learnt and what we had been told. Blake couldn’t get her head around Lynx and Spike switching places, taking turns at training and even with Nadine. Lance’s grip on my hips as I sat on his lap was incredibly intense. I knew the two hours deadline by Lynx didn’t give us a lot of time, the discussions were rushed and had a sense of panic to them. “Can we spare anyone that can follow him?” Ricardo puts to the

A revelation in the woods. My wolf had a very strong feeling to go to the tree line when I noticed activity on night watch the night before the attack. I couldn’t explain it, it was just a gut feeling I had. But I knew I couldn’t go alone, I would never do that to Lance or Axel. Florence and Jade wouldn’t have me making my own food, so they were currently putting a massive luncheon on the dining table. Typical shifters…the smell of food and they come running. Within minutes, Axel and I were joined by the lycans, Tate, and the Mulder family. Lance lovingly kissed my neck but then went on to pick out sausages, burgers and bacon. He went for the French fries but a growl from my chest made it very clear I had first dibs. He chuckled at my behaviour before standing me up, sitting on my chair and then pulling me into his lap. Chairs had clearly been borrowed from pack member’s homes to fit all the guests around the table. I waited until they at least had some food in their bellies before I

Not a good patient. I couldn’t breathe! I was kicking and clawing at the male on top of me holding my throat in his hands. Moments from death I look up over my head at the male that had just entered the room. No it can’t be? He is dead. I was there when he died. He’s looking at me with regret, he didn’t want this, he didn’t want me like this. What did he want, to talk? We were beyond talking. If he really was alive, I’d kill him with my own hands. “Aida…Aida wake up.” Lance’s gentle voice calls to me in my sleep. It’s like being called to the safety of a lighthouse in the darkest and stormiest of seas. I must have fallen asleep in his arms. His regular steady breathing creating a calming repetitive rhythm that was similar to being rocked to sleep. “Lance?” I had forgotten about my throat before I called out his name. It still stung but I could now at least talk. It was hoarse sounding, but it could be understood. “Aida?” He greets my voice with a kiss to my neck, which leads me to

Bruised and Silent. With my breathing restricted, I pull my eyes back on the wolf on top of me, as my mind starts to sink into darkness. Before my remaining eye closes I hear monstrous growls, Lycan growls. At first I panic, thinking that they did have lycan rebels on stand by. But then his scent hits me, toffee and plum, the richness of his scent just as strong as ever. It’s the best way for me to go. Knowing he was close by. I turn my head slightly to see Axel, Tucker, Mav and even Ricardo have entered the school assembly hall. Ricardo is surrounded by seven males I didn’t know but judging by their similar looks, these were Blake’s older brothers. They didn’t hold any terror in their eyes, just a thirst for blood. An almost competitive look to who can kill the most rebel rogues. The Lycans are like a tidal wave, wiping out everything in their path, without hesitation. I thought for a moment that Lance was coming to me, his scent was closer but then it becomes slightly distant agai

Special chapter. Lance’s point of view Fighting for his love. My anger was fading. I had spent almost a week in Lycan wolf form and getting back to nature was just what I needed. Aida marking me took me by surprise, I expected myself to mark her before she was eighteen, not the other way round. The moment she arrived for training and got out of that car with Trey, my world stopped. I didn’t know how to react at first, my honest disbelief that the Moon Goddess would pair me with a she-wolf. But then I watched her, she was anything but a she-wolf. If anything her she-wolf status held her back. She was made for me, made to be the princess by my side and that was before I knew she was a pack princess. Time and time again, I had to listen to stories from others about how she had been neglected and I couldn’t…didn’t want to believe the abusive stories I had been told at the hands of her Father, Brother and Luna, until I witnessed things for myself on the King’s pack visit. The witches a

Fighting alone. I gently place Olivia back on the floor and stand up to talk quietly to the teachers. Realistically I was the closest thing to a warrior. I was the only one trained enough to defend all these children. “Have you heard from either of the Alphas?” I whisper to the male teacher. “No, I can’t get through.” Damn what I would give for a mind-link right now. “Why would intruders be breaking into the school?” I whisper. “We don’t know.” Mrs Townsend responds in a state of nerves. Yep, I literally was the only one trained to fight. Whatever comes through those assembly hall doors would have to kill me to get to these children. “Okay…is there anywhere safe to hide the children? I ask the collection of teachers. “The bunker…but it’s near the pack house.” The male teacher responds. “If I cause a distraction and you see a chance, take the children there.” I command at the teachers. “They aren’t meant to get through the school, if they can get through the school…they can g

Night time patrol. If this was punishment, then sign me up anytime. I mean I was pushed hard at training. I was taking part in night time patrol, which Tate spent every night scowling at me, he was my punishment buddy. I was spending all day at the school with the children and also helping the Alpha Ray and Alpha Rory out with pack administration. I was waiting for Alpha Ray to come find me to lock me in their basement, to refuse me food…but this pack was everything a wolf pack should be. I spent every meal time giggling with Rafe, while Rory rolled eyes at our immature behaviour. I was sincerely considering asking Alpha Ray if I could join the Mulder pack after graduation. To adopt them as my new family. “So Aida, what is the plan for after training?” Luna Rennie asked last night at dinner. “I’m not really sure. I know I do not want to return back to the Sagar pack. Actually I was considering maybe joining this pack…if you’d have me?”“You don’t want to return home?” Luna Rennie
