I leaned my shoulder against the doorframe and watched as my mate rearranged things in the nursery. This was not the first time. Nesting was in a pregnant female’s nature. They wanted everything to be perfect and ready for after giving birth.

The three of us worked hard to make sure that everything was ready for our pups, which included baby-proofing everything. That part was on Grant and me. We might have gone a bit overboard, but nobody could fault us. We never wanted to risk our pups at all.

It was still surreal to think that we would be welcoming two pups into the world very soon. Some people have vocalized their thoughts on us being too young, but we did not give a flying fuck what they thought. The three of us desired to begin expanding our family, and nothing would have changed that.
