too sexy to be dangerous

“They threw you in jail for a crime you did not commit and you let them?." My mother asked me.

Her no nonsense face was now contorted in a frown, her right foot was tapping on the ground as if she needed to let her emotions out through that movement.

“What was I supposed to do, eat them?. You know very well that Mr Grant is a Beta that is well respected, he has allies. I couldn't attack him, he thought I was a criminal, it would have confirmed his suspicions." It was the longest statement I had ever used to defend myself.

“You're the daughter of one of the richest families in the country and you let that stupid old fool walk over you. Forget the wealth Rainee, have you forgotten that even the tiniest pup in our pack would tear any body that poses as a threat, to pieces," my mother was furious. Her words were like newly sharpened blades. “You are the opposite of the strength and courage this family represent."

“Mum." Vinx said cautiously, my mother paid him no attention.

“You're wolfless, as if that's not enough, you're stupid and weak."

“Mum." Kalum growled, it was loud enough for my mother to jolt from fear.

“We didn't bring her here for you to yell in her face about her shortcomings."

I was trembling in my seat, my hands were clutching to the arms of the chair and my knuckles had turned white.

“She's a disgrace to our pack." My mother defended.

" Our pack is a disgrace to itself if it doesn't recognizes that Rainee offers a lot more than mere strength." Kalum said.

" All I've ever wanted her to do was to be strong enough to protect herself, she can never do that." My mother said.

“Then we'll do it for her." Vinx told her.

I would bet a dollar I didn't have that they were doing this, not in my interest but for their selfish wants.

" Rainee, get up... We're taking you home. " Vinx said.

I stood up, it was obvious that my mother didn't want me at all, no wonder she never reached out all those years.

Immediately I walked into the living room, she commented on my cheap clothes, she told me I smelled like cheap perfume and prison.

“She's your problem, not mine. She's such a disappointment." My mother said. My bottom lip was shaking, my vision was blurred by tears. “Remember that you're the strongest alphas in this part of the world, protect that image. Having someone as weak as her in your court would send a wrong message to the enemy packs and they'll come..."

“Let them come, and we'll remind them why we're really Alpha Kings." Vinx growled

A twinkle of Vinx's power sparkled in his eyes, just a twinkle and i could feel it moving around the house, shaking and tearing the building apart. The very ground I stood on was shaking.

“Vinx." Kalum said calling his twin brother back to the room.

A cold shiver ran down my back, a clog forged in my throat.

Vinx snapped out of it and buried his powers, he rolled his shoulders and turned to the door, he held it open for me and I walked through.

I didn't dare say a word, I loved my life and I didn't wish to lose it so soon.

“Get in." Vinx ordered.

I practically dived into the car.

Kalum rode alone in his car. Sitting in the car with Vinx, the silence was deafening. He drove past a massive gate that depicted two werewolf holding the moon in their paws.

The moon goddess had blessed the both of them with unfathomable powers. In their veins, raw power swam. Rumours claimed that in their werewolf forms, they could tear the earth apart if they combined their strength. They were the strongest werewolves to ever exist. Twins, two gods in the flesh.

So strong that they were the first crowned alpha kings after ten thousand years.

“Rainee darling, we're here."

Warmth spread through my cheeks as the pet name registered in my head.

“The both of you live alone... Here?."

The mansion was massive. It was ethereal.

“We hold our court here sometimes but apart from that, yes, we're always alone."

I gasped and climbed down from the car, I knew they were wealthy, but this was straight out of a ghibli movie.

Kalum climbed down from his car and handed the keys over to a man in uniform.

" Welcome home, Rae-ree." Kalum said.

I stopped in my tracks, that bloody nickname that Kalum had invented, that named that they twisted and turned until it didn't mean Rae-ree at all, but something perverted.

“What's the matter Rae, your legs failed you?." Kalum asked, he was surely onto me, trying to tease me till I break.

He was walking behind me and drawing closer every second, his masculine scent filled my nose, he wrapped my ponytail around his hand and yanked it back so that I was staring up at the sky.

I closed my eyes.

“Kalum, please it hurts."

He chuckled.

“Vinx tells me that you owe us your life."

My eyes snapped open.

“Wh-what? I don't owe you my 'life' I'm indebted to you for life... They are different things. "

“It means the same to me." Vinx's voice was clear and filled with amusement.

“It means the same thing to me too. We can do with you whatever we please." Kalum mused.

“Please, this really hurts, let go." I pleaded.

“Just look at her pretty little neck." Vinx whispered.

At the sound of his tone, heat spread between my legs, in a way that was not moral.

I didn't hear Vinx walking until he was standing in front of me, his fingers wrapped around my neck and he tightened his hold.

“I would like to put a collar around this pretty neck." Vinx said.

“Kalum, please leg go."

My scalp was burning, he had pulled hard and his hold was not gentle.

Kalum released me and I could finally breathe and swallow properly, it was as if blood was climbing down my face.

“Why is your hair restrained, these beautiful blond strands needs the wind." Kalum said.

Before I could respond, he pulled my hair tie and my hair fell all over my face.

“I'm keeping this as a souvenir." Kalum said and Vinx laughed.

I turned away so that they wouldn't see my tears. This was a different kind a prison, a more brutal one.

“I thought you guys were saving me." I called after them.

“Welcome to hell, Ray-ree," Kalum said

"I don't see your mansion burning." I retorted wittily.

“We're the flames." He retorted back, outwitting me.

A shiver ran down my spine.
