I turned away and my eyes fell on one of the strangers, it was a young famale, I noticed that all of them had cloaks covering their faces and in the angle she was at, Felix and my mother would not be able to see her.

I started to work everyone's angle, I noticed that everyone was placed systematically. I was put in the middle, everyone could see me and I could see everyone but Vinx could not see everyone, Nolaine could see almost everybody but not everyone, My mother could see none of the strangers…

This thing that Nax and Zandrey and Yoda were doing, it was bigger than I thought. How impactful was it going to be? They said we would all be different people when we walk out of the cube. When was that going to be? I didn't even know what time it was but certainly it should be after midnight by now.

This was not what I expected my birthday to be like. I never had big happy birthdays before but I had peace... At least I wasn't in a cube.
