The cold was kept at bay by Felix's powers, I felt external warm even when I was sitting at the beach

I could feel their eyes on me.

I dug my toes into the sand, it used to help but now I felt lost.

I looked up at the sky, it was so beautiful in Lantharn. The stars and all…but we were going to leave, Kalum insisted that we would leave. He said if he stayed one more day he might do something stupid, I didn't doubt him.

I wanted to leave this place too because it reminded me so much of my father but I would miss this beach.

A cold wind blew but I did not shiver from the breeze. I turned to my right to see Felix staring at me. He looked extremely concerned and worried but when my eyes met his, he smiled at me.

I returned the smile and I didn't want to look away. There was something different about him now, I don't know if anybody else felt it but i could feel it.

Felix was different now, but I could not place my hand on what exactly made him different.
