“You're going to mark me?." I shrieked

“Calm down, it's not going to hurt."

The light vanished and I really thought they had changed their minds until I felt a zap in my back, through out the trail of my spine was burning as if it was set in fire. From the back of my neck to my tail bone.

I yelled and Vinx held me.

“It's going to slowly fade." Kalum whispered

Fuck him, this pain was excruciating.

“You said it wasn't going to hurt!." I yelled in Kalum's face.

“I lied."

I was on my knees and I didn't even know how I got there, it was like a drill was pushing nails into my spine.

“It's going to end soon, Rae." Vinx promised and as if I knew what he was saying was just a lie, I almost tore my skin off. They held my fingers to keep me from clawing my skin.
