We were still searching for what seemed like an eternity but sadly, there were no signs of Matt.

Hunter turned to me and his shoulders slumped a little bit before he squared them again.

“It's getting dark and we've passed our mark. Too many monsters come here to play with their prey, let's leave, I'm not in the mood to fight tonight."

“I'm sorry we couldn't find him."

It was really dark already, we've been searching for about nine hours now.

“Where is your carriage?." I asked him.

“Come."

The house was far too large for only one person to live here. But, there were people that loved their own company and Hunter was just one of those people. I did not have any friends except for my family so I could not judge him for keeping to himself.

“Your house is beautiful." I told him as we entered.

He did not reply.

“Tell me about your brother."

“I'm not in the mood to talk, Rainee."
