Chapter Sixty Five: A pawn in some game.

It was officially school winter break, and we had to go home another time, but I was less enthusiastic about it than I was the other times we had vacated.

The main reason was that I was nowhere close to achieving my plans, and now that I was going home to the one place I had the opportunity to see Mac, it made me feel like a failure even more.

Okay, maybe using the term failure is a bit extreme, but the fact is that I have been going in constant circles, and I was no way close to getting what I initially wanted with all of my heart, and that was for Mac to acknowledge me.

I sighed as the cab man honked for me to get inside, there was no escaping it this time. The wise words of my roommate flashed through my memory as we made the long drive back to the town where I resided.
