Chapter 2

Esther’s POV

The drive to the New Lunar Pack was a pleasant one, it started with land so flat you could see for miles in every direction, then it turned into rolling hills covered in forest vegetation. When I reached the pack territory, I drove up to the gate rolled down my window and they recognized me right away, opening the gate without me even having to say a single word.

When I got to the pack house Renee and Ethan were both waiting at the door to greet me. I hopped out of the car to greet them as well.

“It’s so good to see you!” Renee said excited as she came down the steps to give me a hug. I wasn’t usually the hugging type, but with Renee there really wasn’t any use arguing about it, some people are beautiful lights in the darkness of this world and Renee was one of those people.

“You too” I answered hugging her back.

“Hello, Esther” Ethan greeted, he was still a little mad at me, for my vague phone call and ‘putting him through hell’ according to him. I didn’t let it bother
