Tom’s PoV

I couldn’t believe what was happening. I had left to see Lilly safely back to our room as everyone was leaving the main entrance hall, satisfied that there wasn’t anything that could possibly go wrong now that the main groups who usually clashed had left, and just as I was going to go back and check on the reports from the guards, I received an urgent mind link from Ryan.

“What are we going to do?” Lily whispered anxiously as I paced the floor.

“This is insanity,” I murmured, “Ryan and Amber would never conspire to do anything like this. I don’t know how any of those disloyal bastards could believe this.”
