PRESENT
King Azalea found himself sitting in his throne room. He was quite baffled. Some minutes ago, he was lying in his bedroom, on his bed, with his mates on his both arms. How then did he get to his throne room?
The double doors opened and bright, sharp light pierced his eyes. He had to lift his right hand to protect his eyes. The door closed and the lady in white he had been seeing, walked majestically in.
"King Azalea". She greeted and curtsied.
"Lady in white". He called since he had no idea what her name was.
"That is quite a funny name you give to me". She said, chuckling.
"But I have no idea what your name is. I don't even know who you are. Just a pretty lady in white that appears out of the blues and disappear into the blues. A lady only I can see". King Azalea said.
"Not only you can see me King Azalea". The lady said.
"Alice didn't see you the other day".
FLASHBACK
"Azalea". Alice called.
Jade could barely keep her feet on the ground. Her Aunt Marline was already on her way down to the mortal world. They were going to review her plans and strike.'Alicia and Alice, you don't know what's coming for you'. She thought.Already, she knew the Grand Queen would tell the King her lies that she had believed ever so effortlessly. Of course the King would be enraged at such news and while they banter, she and her Aunt Marline, alongside Bruno will attack. All they need is the twins. Unless her Aunty needs more of course.Jade put on a jean trouser and a tank top with a jean jacket and then wore her sneakers. She tied her hair in a high ponytail and then applied some makeup. She made sure to do justice to her mascara. The royal household had been kind enough to get her new cloths and shoes. She had suddenly became royalty, enjoying the benefits that came with it. Too bad, it had to end soon but she cared less. What greater joy than avenging her mother's dea
The twins woke up to an empty space in between them. Their husband was no where to be found."Good morning Alice". Alicia said."Good morning Alicia". Alice said."He probably has an emergency". Alice said, touching the space where their husband had been. His presence was still greatly felt. His scent was all over the room."Last night was amazing". Alicia said, as though reading her sister's thoughts."I know right? How we could both give him such extent of maximum satisfaction. It gladdens me". Alice said."We should do it more often". She added.'Often indeed'. Alicia thought. It was then she recalled his words to her the night before the wedding. He had clearly said 'don't touch me'."I'm going to have a shower, do you mind joining me?" Alice asked."Nahhh. I'll sit this one I guess. Go on ahead, I'll bathe after you". Alicia replied."Are you sure you're fine? You're getting me worried yunno". Alice said.
"Well, Bruno asked that I should come out of hiding. He tried to attack me and I ran. Then I bumped into Claire in the woods"."When you say Claire, you mean the Claire that was working here?" The Claire that betrayed you?" Alice asked, wide eyed."Yes. I swear I would have strangled her at the spot but then, she saved me". Alicia confessed."How?""She once told me she's a banshee. She has the ability to communicate with the dead. So she allowed us get captured and when we were brought in front of Bruno and the King of Syrak, she invoked the spirit of Bruno's mother to life".Alice could only stare in shock. She processed her sister's words one after the other. It was a pretty hard nut to chew."I'm still trying to understand you. But it's hard to believe. I'm utterly confused". Alice said."I know you would. Remember the day things all fell out of place?" Alicia asked."The day things fell out of place? What do you mean
"Your Majesty. Good morning". The guards in front of the Grand Queen's chambers greeted, bowing to King Azalea. "Good morning". He replied them. "I hope the King had a wonderful night after he left his mother's chambers last night?" The guard that had refused Jade entrance the previous night spoke. King Azalea was bereft of words. When did he visit his mother? Did he sleep walk? He definitely wasn't hearing well so he asked the guard again. "Mother's chambers?" King Azalea asked, baffled. "Your Majesty really isn't kidding about the fact that he had come to see the Grand Queen for almost an hour plus". The guard said. 'Visit your mother today. You would get lots of surprises, comport yourself. When need be, admit whatever is being said'. The lady in white's words rang in King Azalea's ear. This is what she had meant. "Oh my!" King Azalea said, clutching his head. "Is Your Majesty fine?" The guard asked in concern.
Marline arrived at her old cave in the late hours of the morning. She had missed the comfort the place brought her. She went straight to her mirror. "I see you've returned". The mirror said. "Mirror mirror on the wall, who is the wisest of them all?" Marline said with a smile. "Me of course". The mirror said and Marline chuckled loudly. "It is indeed you". Marline affirmed. "You have served me well. What would I be now without you?" Marline added. "Cheers to the recovery of your powers then". The mirror said. A glass of wine appeared in Marline's hand and she raised it up. "Cheers". She said, chuckling. "I should invite Jade over for a grand celebration. And then, we could revise our plans on how to kill the twins. We have to strike tonight. I can no longer wait". Marline said, sipping her wine. "Then contact her immediately". The mirror said. Marline used her mind to find out where Jade was. She
Azalea sat in his mother's chambers, bereft of words. "Mother, I find your accusations rather offensive". King Azalea said. "Believe it or not, you married a whore. I'd rather die than let her give you a child that is not yours". Grand Queen Seria said. "Don't wish for what you wouldn't want mother. Beware of your words, there is power in the tongue". King Azalea warned her. "Exactly. I know what I say because I would go extra miles to live". Grand Queen Seria said. "Mother..." King Azalea started but his mother cut him off. "You're here arguing unnecessarily about something you don't know, instead of asking me why I'm saying this. You think I'll just wake up one morning and accuse two little girls? Don't I have better things to do than forge lies that'll take me absolutely no where?" Grand Queen Seria asked in anger. "Mother, it's not....." His mother cut him off again. "Of course you'll say it's not like that. N
"Last night, Jade came to me bearing news that Bruno is alive. I couldn't quite believe it myself as I had seen to it that he be killed. She then told me that it was Alicia's doing. I was baffled as Alicia had been unconscious. Then she explained that her grandmother used to tell her as a child that witches have the power to detach their spirits from their body without dying totally. Alicia detached her spirit from her body and went to save the boy. When she woke, she then went to a cottage she made in the Redmines for the boy. Jade reminded me of the times I overheard Alicia talk to herself. She said her grandmother also told her witches have spirit animals and she once overheard Alicia calling them Night and Candy. Then she overheard Alicia telling her twin sister that the spirit animals sacrificed their vitality for her to make a healing potion for the peasant boy. That's how he was revived and she took him out of the Kingdom. Earlier yesterday, when she was reported missing, Jad
Alicia finished her bath and they both returned to the main room. They heard the loud clicking of heels and both turned to the door. "Alicia!" They heard their mate yell before pushing open the door forcefully. Alicia's breath caught in her throat when she saw the Grand Queen behind and the furious look of her mate. "Am I not enough? Why go ahead to have an affair?" King Azalea asked. "What?!" Alicia didn't know when she spoke up. Who labelled such an accusation against her? "You're asking me what? Why are you such a cheap whore?" King Azalea asked angrily. He landed a slap across her face. Alicia held her cheeks, the pain stung, her eyes teared up. "Azalea I have no idea what you are talking about. How could you just wake up and accuse me of having an affair?" Alicia asked. "Are you questioning me?" He asked, going closer to her. She shifted back in fright, still holding her cheeks.
"Azazel, please get the barbeque stand outside, the others will be here any moment” Alicia called out as she ties Elsie's hair in front of the mirror. “On it” Azalea called back from the other room in the house. “Here, all done” Alicia said to her six year old daughter, Elsie. “I look pretty mommy” Elsie said happily with her tiny voice. “Yes you do, darling. Now why don't you go join the others outside to get everything ready?” Alicia said “Okay Mommy” Elsie said and got off the stool and running out of the room. “No running in the house” Alicia said in a loud voice to stop Elsie from running. She heard her daughter's footsteps slow down before resuming her running again. Alicia sighed but a smile danced on her lips. It has been 14 years since The bluecrest moon was created and by far it was the best years of her life. With a kingdom of their own, her sister close by, their mate and so many children… she wanted nothing more. So much have happened since that day when the vampir
"Alice, quit looking at yourself in the mirror and get ready to come out, all the guests have arrived” Alicia scolded with an eye roll. Her sister was always obsessed with a mirror, it was hard to pull her off it even when there are crowds of people anticipating their arrival. “I'm coming, mom” Alice said sarcastically before turning to join Alicia at the door. “Are you ready?” She asked with a softer tone, she was so nervous, it was why she couldn't stop worrying about her appearance and kept checking herself on the mirror. “No… I swear to the goddess that I'm not ready” Alicia blurted out in a shaky breath. Alice chuckled and took her sister's hand, “I'm not ready too but we have to get our shit together for this important day. It is time to show ourselves to the world and let them see our power, got that? She said. Usually it was Alicia who was stronger mentally and more encouraging, but now it was the other round. Alice couldn't blame her, no one can be strong all the time.
“Dear girls and Azalea, if you are reading this then it means you know that you all are mates. You be wondering how I know this, the truth is Azalea father and I knew all along. Azalea may not remember but he always wanted to visit Anna when she was pregnant, he presence used to relieve her of any pain that the girls were causing her. He was the first to say that it was twin girls in her and he claimed they were his babies. It was already very obvious that you all were mates. I truly apologize to Azalea, you must have been very sad and angry about your father's death, perhaps you think I killed him. I promise you I didn't. Your father was a very good friend of mine, we were good friends until our last breath, I still wished I said goodbye to him in a better way, the last time I saw him we were in an argument. He said he wanted me to take the heirloom and only give the kids when they realize that they are mates because his time was drawing near and I was very angry at him for being
As early as five o'clock, Azalea and the girls went outside the pack house to find out what Louis had hidden so securely, they greatly suspected that it was the heirloom but they didn't want to conclude without seeing it first. After the fun they had all through the night, their bodies wanted to sleep like the other members of the pack but they resisted because they were curious about what Louis was hiding from them all these years. The cold morning air made the girls shiver a little but they kept walking till they arrived at the three tall trees. They were arranged like a triangle, the girls couldn't help but remember the games that they played with their parents there under these trees. It was a place that held beautiful memories for them. “What now? Where do we dig?” Alice asked in confusion. The area between the tress weren't very small, it would take a couple of hours to dig every inch around it. The tri- couple stay quiet and they thought deeply, then Azalea said, “We could
“I'm back lovebirds” Bill said, breaking the moment and walking up to them. It was clear from his beady eyes that he must have shed a tear or two while he was at Louis and Anna's grave. Everyone laughed along with him, when the laughter dies down, he spoke up again, “Alpha Louis, goddess bless his soul, left something for you girls. He had told me to tell you only when you both have found your mate” Bill said. “Really?” The girls chorused in surprise. What could their dad have left for them that can only be discovered after they found their mates? Even Azalea listened with rapt attention. “Yes, perhaps he knew he would not be there to give you in person so he instructed me to” Bill said with a hint of sadness in his voice. “What is it uncle Bill?” Alicia asked. Bill pursed for a few seconds before saying, “When you girls were just babies, your father tattooed some words on you. He told me to tell you girls and your mate to find the tatto
The pack looked a lot different than before, this was probably because the place was being lively again, the weeds were cleared and destroyed houses rebuilt. It wasn't perfect but it was better, it goes to show how much progress they made in just one day of coming here. Azalea and the twins went around giving orders and making sure everything was alright. The wolves weren't scared of Azalea, despite being imprisoned they still knew what has been going on, they knew he was the girl's mates and that was why he released them and brought them back to the pack. They also know of Alicia and Alice sufferings in the vampire kingdom, they were grateful that the girls still remembered them after everything that happened. They could have remained as the Queens of the vampire kingdom and enjoyed a good life with their mate but they didn't, they still had their pack in mind. And as for Azalea, they forgave him when he released them and assist in rebuilding the pack. After the hardwork du
After some arrangement and planning, Azalea and the girls left the kingdom to the long abandoned pack. They wanted to find the heirloom, bury their parents properly and set everything right. Who would have thought the same person who came to ruin the pack months ago, would be the same person to fix it? The power of a mate bond was seemly too overpowered, the moon goddess matched accurately. Azalea left the kingdom to a few trusted aids to take care of, he didn't know for how long they would be gone so he had to make good preparations. The drive to the pack was in a comfortable silence, the girls enjoyed the cool air and also thought about their parents and the pack. They wanted to do right by them and be better daughters and pack leaders. The planned on bringing the pack back to life and their mate was going to help them. It was their sole reason of returning, the heirloom was a secondary reason. When they arrived at the pack, the twin's eyes couldn't help but
“What do we do now?” was the only thing Alicia could say, she couldn't defend her father as firmly as she did before but deep down she knew her father would never try to steal. This case was all too strange. “We go get answers” Azalea answered plainly. “What do you mean? Alice asked, confused and curious. “Perhaps, it's time to visit the pack together. I have postponed our vacation flight, we need to get answers and we need to get it now” Azalea said in a firm voice that the girls seemed to resonate with. “Yes, We need to find out what happened all those years ago and the whereabouts of the heirloom” Alicia said and Alice nodded in agreement. Azalea eyes softened as he heard them, he didn't think they would be so willing to help him find the heirloom even when it meant that their father had taken it. He had been thinking of a way to tell them about it but he didn't know
“Wait… you mentioned that you wanted to obtain some information from my parents, what was that about?” Alicia suddenly asked. Azalea's eyes flashed with an unreadable emotion and he said after a sigh, “I think it's time to talk” The girls ears perked up with rapt attention, they wanted to know what was so important to Azalea that he had to attack their pack with force. Azalea inhaled and exhaled deeply before beginning his narration, “Years ago, your father and mine were very good friends. They were quite close too. I was very young then and you girls hadn't been born, I can only remember little fragments of memories but as I grew older, I understood them more. There was an heirloom that the vampire kingdom had, rumour had it that only a few people had seen it but yet it was so powerful, it was why no one dared to attack the kingdom. Over the years, my father fell very sick, I was fifte
