Jace's POV

After the ball in the southeast kingdom, we go home tiredly. I sat on the couch and removed my tie so I could breathe. The events earlier made me so tired. I didn't expect that I would see Margaux after a year. I thought our paths wouldn't cross because someone told me that she's not attending the annual celebration even though she's a queen. But I was wrong. Something happened earlier, which made her come.

I thought after a year of not seeing her, my feelings would be gone. And for that year, I kept reminding myself that Margaux was my sister. We are not for each other and whatever happened before should be forgotten.

I thought the feelings had gone away when I met Criselda but I was definitely wrong. The moment I saw her face earlier, the spark was there. I wanted to hug her but I controlled myself.

But what really bothers me now was about what Margaux had said. She mentioned earlier that she has proof that we are not siblings.
