My father followed my mom and he was already calming my mom down. Jace walked near me and he wrapped his hand around my waist. He's asking me to sit down on the couch, so I followed him.

“That's impossible, Margaux.”

I lifted my head when my mother said those words. I started to be nervous about that and from whatever she wanted to say.
