Chapter 78: I won't let you go

Diana hadn't been able to sleep a wink the entire night. Her mind worked frantically. The prophecy she had seen in the temple of the scrolls terrified her and she knew a horrible fate awaited her if she didn't do something about it.

I should tell Freya and my mates, she thought. But then she hesitated. If she told her mates, they would immediately react negatively, and she didn't want queen Astrid to suspect anything yet.

If they were going to escape from Ashidore, they had to do it when the queen least expected it.

Thus, Diana made up her mind not to tell her mates yet. But she would tell Freya.

She finally found sleep in the early hours of the morning. It was still dark, but streaks of dawn had emerged in the sky.

Few hours later, she was awoken by the sparks of the mate bond that tingled her skin. She murmured and turned over in bed, cracking an eyelid open.

"Hey," Alden whispered. He drew closer and kissed her deeply.
